Blood Nemesis -
Chapter 37: Teach 1
Chapter 37: Teach 1
The leader of the bullies was a kid of the same age as his brother. Most likely, they are fifteen years old, considering they are in the same class.
’It is an underage kid.’
Although he was a kid, his antics spoke volumes about his personality. For example, his hands fondling the female student on his lap, and the effortlessly evil smirk he wore when one of his own was thrown out of the building.
’The kid will grow up to become a psychopath. If I can’t kill him, I should at least make it impossible for him to raise his hand against me or my family.’ Oliver thought and gazed at him.
"Old man, do you think you won?" The leader of the bullies asked with a smirk. "Just because you defeated Victor, do you think you have won?" His voice was sharp and high-pitched, betraying his age.
Hearing his words, Oliver smirked. ’Kids like these are the exact reason why birth control pills are popular these days.’ He thought.
"Win? What is there to win? I don’t consider stepping on ants a great achievement." He played along and replied.
"Mind your words, geezer."
’Geezer?’ Oliver was amused by the words of the little shitling.
"If I don’t?" He asked shortly after.
By the looks of it, the leader of the bullies was not a smart one. He seemed like the kind that would be easy to manipulate and weaponize.
Did someone do that to his brother?
Most likely! Oliver concluded.
Oliver’s brother, Arin, was popular, smart, and talented. It was a deadly combination that could make any peer jealous.
Most likely! One of the jealous individuals was using the bullies to isolate Arin.
The reason they targeted his friend was to send a message. Anyone who becomes his friend will have to experience the same bullying.
’But that doesn’t matter anymore. I am here. And I can deal with the jealous kid later.’
Oliver was thrilled to get a second chance, one where he could save his brother.
’Now, what should I do with him? Break a leg? Or an Arm? Maybe both?’
Fortunately, his brother and friend the left, now he could be just himself. Oliver slowly walked forward.
"Do you have a death wish?" The kid suddenly asked when Oliver was walking towards them.
"No, I don’t."
"Then stop. I don’t want to kill anyone today." The kid said with the same evil smirk.
"Why do you think you can kill me?"
"Because I can."
"You are confident."
"Yes, I am." By saying that, the kid flicked his hand.
*Swish*
Immediately, a metal pipe nearby flew into the air, targeting Oliver.
"Telekinesis!" Oliver was amused.
It was similar to his blood control ability but without any of its caveats. All forms of matter can be controlled with this ability without being in actual contact. It was a versatile and extremely useful ability in combat.
’If properly used and trained, becoming an A-ranker would not be difficult.’
Although the rusted metal pipe was blazing towards him, Oliver kept his calm and thought.
’It is a pity that the one who got the ability was someone with a character like him.’
Oliver thought up to this point and slightly bent his neck to one side.
The metal pipes made a swooshing sound and blazed past his head.
Although the kid was controlling the metal pipe, he didn’t have perfect control over it. After increasing its velocity, he couldn’t turn or move it as he wished. So, the metal pipe flew off the building towards the ground.
"That was a nice trick." Oliver nonchalantly said as he continued walking forward.
Seeing his imposing figure get closer, the other kids stepped back. But the one on the chair still sat there without moving.
It was a matter of pride. Unlike the rest, he couldn’t just get up and leave. Running away in front of his people would make him look like a weakling. He could never do that.
"..." The boy pushed off the girl who was sitting on his lap in frustration.
Usually, his rare ability allowed him to win fights from afar. But this time, he met a tough opponent who would dare to dodge a flying metal pipe like it was some kind of paper plane or something.
Oliver was far better than he imagined.
Now, he knew why Victor was thrown off the building.
"Take a step closer, and I will..."
"You will what?" Oliver taunted.
"I will break your leg."
"I thought you wanted to kill me." His body moved closer.
Now, they were separated by only a dozen meters.
"Ah!" The boy grunted and suddenly lifted all the items around him. There were metal bats, cans of beer, bricks, concrete pieces, chairs, sticks, and iron rods among the items he lifted. All of them together must have a weight close to a hundred kilograms.
To be able to lift that many items, the kid was talented indeed.
With veins bulging on his forehead, the kid asked, "Do you think you can dodge this?"
*Scoff* "Try me."
Oliver was unbothered.
The kid might have thought he was being intimidating by showing he can lift many heavy items, but Oliver didn’t care about it at all.
The amount of blood he could control was about 10,000L. After increasing his blood sac to 10,000L, he had filled it again to 8,000L before returning. So, he had plenty in case he needed to heal or even revive.
And if you consider the weight.
8000L in blood would weigh about 8000 kilograms.
In pounds, it would be close to 18,000 pounds.
That’s almost the weight of 5 average-sized cars. That’s a lot.
Just considering the quantity of his blood sac, which is slightly more than 10,000L, he could apply the same amount of force as the weight of the maximum blood the blood sac could hold.
Which is about 100,000 newtons?
To Oliver, who could currently lift cars and apply enough force to bend steel, what the kid was doing was child’s play.
When you add to it the fact that at some point in life, he could control 10,000,000L of blood, it was not even worth mentioning.
Oliver smirked as the kid threatened him. He had seen far more threatening things than a shitling with telekinetic power.
’Some lessons, you have to learn through experience.’ He said in his mind and walked towards the kid. Today, he would like to teach the kid a life lesson.
*Ah* The kid grunted again and threw the objects he was carrying towards Oliver.
Oliver dodged them without even using his ability.
He alone was enough to take care of it.
The items that were being thrown at him had varying weights. So, when the kid threw them at him together, they were moving at different speeds.
Some reached Oliver faster, while the others lagged behind. Oliver made use of this flaw to effortlessly bend his body and dodge them. An experienced person would never have made the mistake, but the kid was too stupid.
"Ha ha. That’s a slightly better trick." Oliver dusted off his shoulder while saying.
*Gulp*
For a second, everyone paused. What Oliver had done was beyond their comprehension. And the real reason for their fear was that they didn’t sense any mana at all.
’He was not using his ability to dodge at all.’ The same thought resounded in their mind simultaneously.
*Gulp*
They gulped again nervously.
Unknowingly, they had chosen the wrong enemy.
"Try again," Oliver said.
This time, he even stopped walking to taunt.
"..." The kid, the leader of the bullies, looked exhausted after just one try. He was breathing heavily while sitting down in the chair.
There were not many tries left in his body.
"Don’t think you have won just yet?" The kid stood up. "We will meet again." He said while glaring and using his telekinesis ability to float up.
Swallowing his pride, he was trying to leave.
The kid knew it was a losing fight. He didn’t want to be entangled with Oliver anymore. A small seed of fear had sprouted in his heart.
So, by leaving quickly, he wanted to wait for a rematch.
His body levitated and accelerated out of the building, stunning his friends.
"Did I say you could leave?"
Before his body could disappear into the darkness, a voice spoke.
Like a bolt of lightning, a tentacle of blood shot out from Oliver’s body, towards the kid who was flying away.
The tentacle was moving at a speed that was impossible to see. Through his precise control, Oliver wrapped it around the kid’s leg.
"Did - I - Say - You - Could - Leave ?" He said each word one at a time, sending fear into the hearts of those who heard him.
If he wanted, Oliver could have used the blood tentacle to cover the kid in blood and exert enough force to turn him into a meat paste. But he forced down his impulses and pulled the guy down as if he were plucking a fruit from a tree.
"NO!"
The kid screamed.
*THUMP*
Like a lump of wood, he made a thumping sound as his body hit the ground.
"AAAA!" He cried louder.
Something had fractured, and his face was bleeding. The kid continued to scream in pain.
"Shut up." Oliver was not a magnanimous man who would fear pain or inflicting pain on others.
He quickly walked forward and gave a kick to the leader of the bullies lying on the floor.
"AAAAAAAAHHH!" This time, he screamed even harder.
This was the exact scream Arin and Wonjun heard as they exited the building.
