Chapter 110: Chapter 105: The Handsome Uncle Arrives (First Update)

Tong Yao discreetly glanced at Shiqing. Just as she was about to speak, the sound of a horn blared from outside.

"My uncle’s back!" Mi Chenxuan shot up from his seat, "I’ll go welcome him."

Yi Luowa glanced at Tong Airui, who lazily shifted his jaw and pulled her to her feet.

"Let me take you to meet my dad."

Yi Luowa’s face turned red, "Don’t keep talking nonsense!"

"Ha~" Tong Airui chuckled and turned to Tong Yao, "Coming along?"

"Nope!"

"Come on! It’ll make my dad happy." Tong Airui laughed, pulling his mother along as the group headed out to greet them.

Yi Luowa stood nervously under the long corridor. Luckily, she had Duoduo in her arms and Tong Airui beside her; otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to face this figure, whom she only ever saw on television.

Three security cars drove into the courtyard first, followed by a bulletproof Rolls-Royce. As soon as the car stopped, Mi Chenxuan dashed forward to open the car door.

A long leg stepped out first. Yi Luowa pressed her lips together, holding her breath as she watched the owner of that leg—tall, imposing, a dashing uncle! If she didn’t already know this man was Tong Airui’s father, she would have assumed they were brothers.

"Tong Airui, you look so much like your dad," Yi Luowa whispered.

Tong Airui grinned, "Yep. Look at my dad, and you’ll see me thirty years from now. So, how about it—satisfied with such a handsome uncle?"

"Pfft~ Stop it!" Yi Luowa elbowed him lightly.

Shiqing shot her a sideways glance, then briskly walked up to the car, "Uncle, hello!"

"Shiqing is here too." Long Che’s lips curled slightly as he lifted his gaze toward Tong Yao, who was standing under the corridor. His expression was cold, but his eyes were warm.

Tong Yao pursed her lips and signaled with her eyes for him to notice Yi Luowa, who stood beside her.

Long Che glanced expressionlessly at Yi Luowa.

Tong Airui quickly pulled Yi Luowa over to Long Che, "Luowa, this is my dad. Dad, this is Luowa."

"Hello, Uncle," Yi Luowa smiled as she greeted Long Che.

"Hm, hello." Long Che slightly raised an eyebrow.

Tong Airui cleared his throat softly.

Long Che turned to look at him.

"Don’t keep that stern face—you’ll scare her."

Long Che shot his son a look, then reached out and pinched Duoduo’s cheek, "Why didn’t you say something when you saw Grandpa?"

Duoduo paused for a moment before flailing his hands and shouting, "Dada!"

"You cheeky boy, go home and give your grandpa a beating too!" Long Che laughed, ruffling his hair.

Ai Ni stepped out of the Rolls-Royce, followed by Tong Aino and the others, who exited the cars behind.

Long Che looked at the group of kids, "It’s rare for everyone to be here. Let’s head inside."

Ai Ni walked over, smiling, and wrapped an arm around Yi Luowa’s shoulder, whispering, "Dad even asked me in the car whether you’d come. Seeing you here will definitely make him happy."

Long Che glanced briefly at his daughter and then reached out to take Tong Yao’s hand, leading her inside first.

Shiqing looked at Ai Ni, who hadn’t once looked her way since stepping out of the car. Forcing a smile, she said, "Hi, Sister Ai Ni."

"Shiqing." Ai Ni smiled faintly and walked inside with her arm still around Yi Luowa’s shoulder.

Shiqing frowned and glanced at You Jia, who had just walked over, feeling aggrieved as she called out, "Brother."

"Let’s go inside." You Jia smiled, took her hand, and led her inside along with the others.

Once everyone was seated, Long Che scanned the group and noticed a few people were missing. He turned toward Mi Chenshuo, "Shuoshuo, give your dad a call and tell him to come back early. Ai Ni, call your great-uncle and ask when they’ll get here. Aino, call your uncle."

The three siblings immediately got to work, taking their phones as they left the living room.

Monica saw how attached Duoduo was to Yi Luowa and hurried to take the child into her arms. However, as soon as Duoduo left Yi Luowa’s embrace, he broke into tears.

"Brother-in-law, let me hold him," Yi Luowa said, feeling bad when she saw Duoduo crying. She reached out to take him back.

"This kid really clings to you. You’re so attached to your aunt; she can’t even chat with your grandpa," Monica said helplessly, shaking her head.

"I’ve got my hands full, but my mouth’s free." Yi Luowa said playfully, forehead bumping Duoduo, "Right, Duoduo? Am I right?"

Tong Yao turned her head to look at Long Che, gently squeezing his hand.

"I heard you were injured. How’s your recovery going?" Long Che asked in a deep voice.

Yi Luowa froze. Confirming that Long Che was speaking to her, she quickly smiled and said, "Much better."

"Sit down," Long Che gestured toward the sofa behind her.

"Oh." Yi Luowa hurriedly sat down.

"How’s your second uncle’s recovery?" Long Che asked again.

"Thanks to Dr. Mai, my, my second uncle is recovering pretty well too," Yi Luowa felt her face stiffening from forcing so many smiles.

Tong Airui noticed her nervousness and raised an arm to wrap it around her waist.

Yi Luowa secretly let out a sigh of relief.

Duoduo rubbed his eyes and stuck his little bottom up against Yi Luowa’s arms.

Tong Airui frowned and glanced at Duoduo, "Sis, is Duoduo sleepy?"

Light Rain looked at the time, "It’s about time for his nap."

"Luowa, go with my sister and help put Duoduo to sleep." Tong Airui lightly pinched her waist.

Understanding his hint, Yi Luowa quickly stood up.

After stepping into the nursery with Light Rain, Yi Luowa let out a breath of relief.
