Chapter 109: Chapter 104: Your Dad’s Midlife Crisis Lasts a Bit Long (Part 3)
Tong Airui sat down next to Yi Luowa and tilted his head to look at Tong Yao, "Did Ai Ni go to the airport too?"
Tong Yao pouted, "You and Nuo’er were both brought over by Mom from her maiden home, only Ai Ni is your dad’s biological child. He hasn’t even gotten off the plane yet, and he already called for Ai Ni to pick him up."
Tong Airui laughed, "It’s already great he didn’t call for you to go!"
"He wants to call me, but it also depends on if I want to go!" Tong Yao snorted. No wonder everyone mocks Long Che for being her shadow, following her step by step; who wouldn’t laugh at that!
Shiqing Carpenter pursed her lips and smiled, sitting down next to Tong Yao, "Aunt and Uncle’s relationship is truly enviable!"
Tong Yao smiled and glanced at her, "Let’s leave it at this today, tomorrow I’ll have Abi take you to the beauty salon to have a look."
"No rush, actually, there’s nothing important. My mom insisted I learn something after graduation," Shiqing chuckled gently. "It’s a good thing she pushed me out. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to see you for a few more days."
"Such a coincidence!" Tong Yao affectionately smiled. "You’ve grown up too. When you’re free, help your mom out a bit. She’s not young anymore. Don’t let her be flying around all the time."
"Aunt, I’ll listen to you," Shiqing obediently smiled, raising her eyes to look at Tong Airui, "Airui, you haven’t properly introduced us yet!"
"Call him Fourth Brother!" Mi Chenxuan snorted from the side, "Show some respect!"
Yan Zi gave her son a slap on the thigh, "Stop bullying Shiqing!"
Shiqing quickly smiled and said, "Aunt, Xuanxuan is just teasing me."
Yi Luowa glanced at Shiqing. She had been smiling the entire time, yet why did it feel like her smile hid something?
Tong Airui raised an eyebrow slightly, put his arm around Yi Luowa’s shoulders and said, "Sweetheart, call her Sister Shiqing."
Yi Luowa playfully rolled her eyes at him, gently tapped his hand with Duoduo’s little hand, and then smiled and nodded at Shiqing, "Hi! My name is Yi Luowa."
"I’m Shiqing Carpenter." Shiqing smiled softly. She wanted to see what reaction Yi Luowa would have upon hearing her surname, but Yi Luowa merely smiled politely, seemingly unfazed by her surname.
Shiqing was displeased, but Tong Yao and Yan Zi were overjoyed. Just from that one glance from Yi Luowa, they understood that the relationship between the two, which hadn’t progressed by noon, had now made significant progress.
Mi Chenxuan took out his phone, opened the album, and showed it to Yan Zi and Little Raindrop. Yan Zi took just one glance and laughed, "Let your aunt see it later."
"What’s this about?" Tong Yao laughed as she walked over, Shiqing curiously following behind.
Tong Yao glanced at the photo on Mi Chenxuan’s phone and burst out laughing.
Shiqing took one look, pinched her fingers hard, and sat back down with a cold face.
"What are you looking at?" Tong Airui leaned forward and asked.
"Nothing much!" Mi Chenxuan quickly closed the album.
Tong Yao laughed and patted his shoulder, "Send it to your aunt later. She wants to use it as a screen saver."
"Oh, Aunt, you’re so creative!" Mi Chenxuan sneaked a glance at Tong Airui and gave Tong Yao a wink, "Just wait a bit, okay!"
"Don’t forget!" Tong Yao reminded him worriedly.
"I won’t forget!" Mi Chenxuan laughed and put his phone back in his pants pocket.
Little Raindrop laughed and glanced at Yi Luowa.
Yi Luowa was a bit taken aback, "Sister Rain, does the stuff on Brother Xuan’s phone have something to do with me?"
"Nope." Little Raindrop laughed and shook her head, "I just wanted to ask if you’re tired holding Duoduo. If you are, the nanny can take him."
It seemed Duoduo understood what his mom said, looked at her with his fuzzy little head, then tightly hugged Yi Luowa’s neck.
"You little rascal!" Yan Zi laughed and scolded affectionately.
"Hit! Hit!" Duoduo hugged Yi Luowa’s neck, shouting without turning his head.
Yan Zi pretended to be angry, "You dare to hit me, see how I’ll deal with you later!"
Duoduo blinked his purple eyes, looking towards Tong Yao for help.
"Your grandma is just teasing you, she won’t really hit you." Tong Yao smiled as she touched his head, "Let your aunt rest for a bit, can I hold you instead?"
"Hmm~" Duoduo hummed, hugging Yi Luowa even tighter.
Yi Luowa smiled and kissed his little cheek, "Auntie, I’ll play with him instead, I’m not tired."
Tong Yao smiled lovingly, turned to look at her son, "He’s definitely my son!"
Tong Airui smiled at his mother, "What do you mean?"
"Take it at face value!" Tong Yao smiled, "What should I do, I’m in such a good mood, I feel like cooking again."
Little Raindrop checked the time, "Mom, dad is about to come back. If he sees you in the kitchen, he’ll cause a fuss."
Tong Yao helplessly shook her head, "Your dad’s got a case of long menopause, started around thirty, and it’s still not over at fifty."
"Shh—I hear the horn," Tong Airui made a shushing gesture.
Tong Yao peered towards the gate, "Where’s the car?"
"You’ll see it in two minutes," Tong Airui smiled, resting his chin on Yi Luowa’s shoulder, looking at Duoduo, "Duoduo, since you like your aunt so much, why not come back to Xiawu with uncle."
Shiqing looked coldly at Yi Luowa, having to admit, she is prettier than herself.
