Chapter 91: Agonizing nightmare!
The other kings also volunteered to help in any way that was required of them but with matters in Scott’s hands, they’d need little to nothing from them.
Sydney was silent for a while as they waited for the other cubs to be done with their meals. The other kings offered to help and she had thought of a great idea.
She ran to Scott’s side and pulled at his arm to whisper something to him. Scott listened attentively and a flash of surprise rose on his face. How come he hadn’t thought of it. "You are right! I’m going to add that to the school plan." He said and rubbed her head dotingly.
Okay, everyone that is done with their bowls needs to carry them to the small stream at the back of the building and wash them. Make sure to mark your dishes because if you loose it, you’ll not have what to eat from!" Ken ordered and the cubs who were happily smacking at their lips froze. They looked at the their food bowls then looked at the others around them defensively.
Each held onto their bowls possessively. This was one of the most basic lessons.
While Sydney had thought of how to pamper them with love, her mates were already down to train these little lads how to survive in this cruel world! She was at a loss but Ash was closest to her. "Don’t worry! We won’t be harsh on them!" he promised and gently rubbed her back to comfort her.
Aren’t they so pitiful?" Sydney asked watching even the extremely malnourished cubs carry the bowls with their weak teeth and make small runs in lines to go out. She really wanted to do something.
But she had no idea, these cubs were pitiful, yes but if she couldn’t love all of them equally, it’s turn out to be another disaster they had created for themselves and that’s why they had come to a tactical understanding to limit her interaction with these cubs.
While they agreed to help, their time was majorly for her and nothing else and they wouldn’t sit by and watch her tire herself to death just for these silly cubs. She would spoil them and they would correct them.
With Ken’s instructions, the cubs each came up with means of marking their own bowls and carrying them to the back to clean them and return them to their original position.
It took them a while but they were happy to do something since they had been offered a very sweet meal.
The different kings who were yet to leave were surprised at how Obedient the cubs were. If one had to run into them on the streets, these little guys were very defensive and would hardly let anyone come near them. However, it was a different case now!

White panther prison camp.
Zery had been here for a while and he couldn’t help chuckling, a sound that sent cold sweat freaking down the elders backs.
"We don’t know how it begun but that has been the case in the past years." The elder explained trying his best not to be misunderstood.
"I see. How can I not believe your words? Hmm?" Zery asked with a bone chilling smile. "You may leave." He shooed the men out and they couldn’t be any happier to be out of this devil’s face.
Zery sighed and fell back in his chair and looked up to the heavens. How long has it been? Did he really have to go through this again? He stood up and gently walked out of his cave.
His presence was highly unsettling for the residents of the prison camp and not a single soul could be seen walking about despite it being day.
He walked out of the camp center further into the mountains where it was exceptionally freezing. The huge heaps of snow didn’t affect his movements as he nimbly made his way further and further up.
Moments later, he came to a huge wall of ice. He braced himself and walked over to the huge boulder, without question, the place opened up having sensed his presence. Zery looked at his hands and frowned a little bit didn’t give regard to the abnormality as such phenomena was common to him.
He walked into the dark cave emotionslessly.
The dark cave was not dark because of lack of light. It was dark because behind the huge ice walls stood thousands of bodies of black panthers.
He sneered when he looked at them. This lot of idiots had chosen to follow Ash instead of him. This was a price both them and Ash had to dearly pay.

Back in the day after the battle came to an end, Ash stood blankly amidst the piles of bodies of his kind. He was covered in blood of those invaders they had slain but at what price!?
We’re the black panthers the only beasts that roamed these lands?! No!
Where were the others?
Tears helplessly fell from his eyes as he scanned amidst the bodies to see if there were any survivers but none lived.
As a leader, he couldn’t let the sacrifices of those that entrusted their lives to him go to waste. He rushed back to the black panther settlement which was the only hope left for him in this desolate world only to find that it was far more gruesome.
The female cubs and females that has been left back were also mercilessly massacred ruthlessly! Not even the pregnant females were spared!
Ash was so angry and tired from the fighting that lasted a month that he fell down and collapsed.
After a number of days he had no idea about, he woke up to an empty village. Not a single dead body of the villagers. Hope mixed with dread washed over him and he ran back to the battle field to find that all the bodies of the black panther warriors were no more!
It was like his clan had been washed off the face of the beast Continent.
Ash felt nothing! He was empty but the dull ache in his chest refused to go! He ran and ran till he couldn’t run any more. The agonizing nightmare remained!

Ash led the small group of cubs under his command and directed them to their respective rooms.
The choice on how rooms were to be distributed had been left to the cubs who were later asked to group up in fours. While they had intended to group them according to clans, it turned out that some of the cubs had bonds amidst them.
Ash was tall and gigantic from the cub’s point of view. They could also feel his power and they were well behaved with him silently following after him.
He had the fourth floor in his command and the cubs each in their groups went into the assigned rooms.
The floor stone beds had enough grass to offer comfort for the cubs. They were delighted!! They jumped up and down happily.
A sad smile flashed through Ash’s eyes but he didn’t linger around for long before he went to get all the other cubs settled in.
Once he was done, he went down the staircase and soon met with Shawn, Ken, Titan and Caden. They were gathered at the entrance of the domitries.
"I’ll go out and hunt and return." Shawn whose eyes were wrapped with a cloth said and the others nodded agreeing to his suggestion. This matter was more or less done.
"Where’s Sydney at?" Ash asked as he didn’t see her.
"She’s having a talk with Scott. She plans to go around the city late." Ken replied. She had asked him to deliver the message to the others.
"Did she eat?" Titan asked with a small frown. They had been going up and about for almost the entire day and despite having offered her some food. She didn’t eat much since she wasn’t concentrating and her attention was entire on the cubs.
"I’ll first bring her back to eat." Caden offered stopping Titan who wanted to do so.
Titan gruntled and went to find Sydney. Taking a few corners, he ran into her and a frown settled on his forehead.
In an encirclement of beast kings, his mate was talking to them about something that was of least importance to him. He was okay with them talking to her but what was with the encirclement?!
An angry hiss left his lips numbing the skulls of all the king’s present.
Carlos was at a distance but he clearly saw the snake mark on Sydney’s neck move. He had no idea whether it was his eyes that were fooling him but he was sure he had not seen wrongly.
The king’s who realised their mistake immediately drew ten feet away from Sydney.
Sydney had been too engrossed in her discussion but her mate’s angry hiss had her look over. It wasn’t only the sound but his expression was sour and his tongue kept flicking out.
