Chapter 90: Beast School.

A few beastmen had come over to help and filled the two bowls with cooked meat and warm milk respectively. Everything was neatly placed out in the dinning area and slowly, the lined up pups and birds walked into the room to eat.

For ones that were drooling, they were well behaved and didn’t fight or create a commotion and soon everyone was down with their own meals with only the sounds of gulps, and chewing filling the room.

Sydney stood at the side with a very satisfied smile. Just look at them! So adorable!!!" When she learnt that there were cubs that were abandoned because their fathers fell out favour with their mothers, she was in disbelief!

It wasn’t new since even back at earth, children were the ones that suffered when their parents fought but at least, in some cases, one of the parents took on his or her role.

But here, once the parents fell out, it was even an honour for the little ones to be left alive! Only the female children where the ones who didn’t suffer such a fate. The male children were at worst sent out of their homes to fend for themselves. Without the guidance of their parents, they were occasionally bullied and had to run off to the outer parts of the city.

But now, Sydney had made the arrangements and brought them back into the inner city. The other kings didn’t say much about this matter since it was the city lord’s house that was handling this matter. They could only look on and see the end of this!

As Sydney immersed herself in the fruits of her work, Caden walked past her and went out to see what was going on. He could sense Carlos’s presence and that of their kings.

With steady steps, he walked out of the building and indeed, different kinds were gathered outside looking at the structure in awe. Through the wide windows, they could see the numerous cubs enjoying cooked food.

They felt greatly ashamed seeing their own kind that they had discarded.

"My Kings." Caden greeted and they greeted back. "Why are you here?" he asked despite having an idea why they were here.

"We heard that the cubs were finally moved to this place and we wanted to have a look." The wolf kind spoke. Long after Ken had moved out of the wolf clan, the stupid boy hadn’t come back even once. He had no other choice but to move and find him.

Caden looked at the kings before him and sighed before he went back inside to inform Sydney. This was her work and I let her would grant permission.

Sydney who had been focusing on the cubs had managed to sense the arrival of the king’s thanks to her overly sensitive mates. She saw Caden walk in with a solemn look and wondered why he seemed angry? "Why the long face?" she asked once he was Infront of her.

"They are asking for permission to enter. I told them to wait so that I can first ask you " he said and looked into her eyes.

Let them in." Sydney permitted. While she was angry at their negligence, they were still kings and she couldn’t ashame them after they had come this far. The played with the silk hair band in her hand and gathered her hair putting it in a raised ban. Her slender white neck was exposed her mate’s marks were literally glaring. It was a sight to behold.

Caden walked the king’s in and they were surprised at the arrangement in the place where the cubs were eating from. Hundreds of stone tables filled the humagous room and and on each table sat at total of twenty cubs each with two bowls full of food. A few beastmen were moving about helping to refill the bowls for the cubs and the joy in the little one’s faces couldn’t be hidden! They were so happy that they had grins as they ate.

The hearts of different kings ached in shame!

"Sydney..." The fox king was the first to greet. His could see a number of cubs from his clan, he felt ashamed, greatly. "You are a very kind female...our city has never seen such greatness!" he praised. He hadn’t been mindful of those little ones and forced them out of the clan to pay for their father’s mistakes. He had been so small minded back then!!! But then, even the females didn’t want anything to do with the children of the mates that had wronged them. He as a leader was in wrong but that was because he was a bad leader!

"Thank you so much fox king...but this was the work of not only me but the whole lot of us." Sydney was polite in her response.

"None of this would have been done if not for you." He flattered but his eyes had only been on her exquisite face. If only he wasn’t mated, he would have killed to stand by the side of a female like Sydney.

Before his thoughts could wander far, his eyes shifted to her exposed neck and upper shoulders and he froze. There were mate marks scattered all over her upper body that it’d be hard to ignore and more so in her white skin, they stood out alot. The marks were arrogant and dominering, most especially that snake mark that was coiled around her neck possessively.

He had been monitoring the snake clan and knew that their king was a calm and less interested beastman but the position of his mark exposed his true nature.

Mate marks spoke alot about their owners and every male beastman knew that unspoken rule.

All the other kings also noticed the marks on Sydney and couldn’t help but look at her in awe. If she could hare the weight of these males so easily, then she wasn’t an easy female herself.

I’m flattered!" Sydney replied and shifted her attention back to the cubs. Most had stopped eating and their heads were dipped down. She was confused but soon managed to piece the puzzle together. Beastmen had outstanding memories and these cubs hadn’t forgotten who had kicked them out of their own homes over the crimes they hadn’t commited. They felt extremely uncomfortable!!!

Sydney frowned but didn’t send the king’s away. She walked over to the nearest table and saw that one of the skinniest cubs was on the table. He had stopped having his milk midway and was trembling. "Hey..." She greeted grabing his attention. The little one’s ocean blue eyes shifted to her nervously.

"Is the food not good?" She asked the cub and he shook his head. It was extremely delicious! He wanted to eat more but dared not to.

If it’s good then eat. I woke up so early to cook the food for all of you and also had my mates prepare good homes for you!" She said and the cub lifted his eyes to look at her. She gifted him with a smile as her eyes shade tears she couldn’t hold back. They were so pitiful! " Come on! Eat!" She urged him and looked at the others on the table. All their innocent eyes were looking at her.

The little cub went back to enjoy his milk and Sydney rubbed his head dotingly. She went about doing the same for all the others and encouraged them to eat more. Since they were quite alot, Scott Alps helped coax a few cubs and soon they were back to their food obediently enjoying it.

This was Sydney after all! She had promised them and she had kept her promise!

When she had first gone out to the outer part of the city, she had encountered three extremely hungry tiger cubs whose fir had also thinned out. They looked like they were dying and she had urged her amtes to get food!

After healing those little ones, she had gone around the outer part of the city locating all the other abandoned cubs and bringing them to a place where she could monitor them. This was also thanks to a few first rank beastmen who did all they could for the happiness of the most beautiful female!

Carlos had been silent all the time and his eyes were locked on Sydney as she handled the cubs like they were her own. He wondered how she’d love hers when she birthed them! He walked over to Caden side. "You guys have done a great job!" He praised. His brother would definitely be proud of how well Caden had grown and the fact that he had such a beloved female who loved him alot! "Is there anyway I can help?" He asked.

Providing for all these beastmen wasn’t easy! He knew it!!

"You don’t have to worry father!! We have taken them in but we won’t just provide everything for them! This is called the beast school and they will learn how to hunt collectively and individually as they grow..Once they are old enough, they’ll be strong and independent males!" He explained.
