Huh?" Sydney was confused by his words and so, she turned around to face him automatically.

Good girl." Seeing that despite her anger she still understood their code, he was pleased that he couldn’t help praising her. "Hmph! That doesn’t mean I’m Amy less angry!!" She reminded him that he too had joined those hooligans wagon.

Don’t be mad. I’ll pamper you more." He said with a silly smile making Sydney roll her eyes.

The male whom Sydney had almost knocked into fell from his daze when he couldn’t see Sydney’s face anymore. He blinked once then twice before casting his eyes on Caden.

Am I having my period?’ Sydney calmed down a bit shocked by her own outburst. She was sure these emotions were her own and not ones induced by her mates.

You are not dead?" Judas blutered out once Ray was close enough with a deep set frown on his face. Davis had not said a word about Ray being in the Storm City!

"Did you just curse me to die?" Shooting a penetrative glare at Judas. Those words weren’t meant for her and she would have noticed him saying Ray’s name if she didn’t fall deep into her thoughts. Saying that she wasn’t dead now seemed like his words were directed towards her.

Judas almost cried. "I’m not saying that to you..." he shook his head feeling wronged. How could he curse the woman he loved to die?!!

That had better be the case!" Maria said and turned to leave. I’m heading back home. You shouldn’t follow me." She said to Caden and stomped her way back home again.

Shawn and Ken went to guard her at home while Ray and the few others stayed back.

"Judas, long time." Ray smirked looking at the cub before him. This was his mother’s favourite cub before he left and see ing him here meant one thing, his father mother and other brothers were already here but they hadn’t let this news out for the city dwellers to know.

"They said you died in the Ivy forest...how are you alive?!" Judas said with a pointed look scanning Ray from head to toe.

Too bad I’m alive." Ray stepped forward and stopped only when he was a few feet away from Judas. "Seeing you here, means the others are as well, am I right?"

I came first. The others are still way back as there are more females." Judas replied honestly.

Oh...so that’s the case." Ray nodded his head and observed Judas. Are all the others still alive?" He asked. Those that had wanted to kill him before definitely had to be alive, their lives were his to take!

Everyone is well and okay." Judas didn’t understand Ray’s questions and answered honestly. He also didn’t have hard feelings against him.

Okay." Ray said with a smile and turned to leave.

"Eh? Where are you going big brother? Since mom and the others are coming, why don’t you stay at the castle and wait for their arrival. I’m sure they’d be so happy to see you."

His words made Ray halt in his steps. Happy? He laughed bitterly and turned towards "Judas. I’ll come see everyone but not now. Also, I hope you keep me beinng alive a secret for now. I’d like to surprise them all." He said craftily.

"Sure! I won’t say a word. But you definitely have to come. Anyway, you are living in the city, when they are here, I’ll come find you. Make sure not to run off!!" Judas babbled.

"Definitely."

"Okay. I’ll then go and woo that female. It’s been so long and I’ve now finally found someone so pretty!! I’m sure if she learns that my father is the lord of Storm city, she’ll definitely want me. She’s currently angry, I should find something to cheer her up. Brother, I’ll be off for now!" Judas thought out loud and after drafting a plan, he turned and run off to go find something to make Sydney feel better.

When Ray heard Judas’s words, his lips pursed into a thin line.

"Your brothers’ have good tastes..." Enzo tapped Ray on the shoulder.

"Too bad that’s all they’ll ever have." Ray laughed at their plight.

The others laughed along. Having good taste in choosing females was indeed a great trait but being unable to savour that taste....was most beastmens fate.

Hearing their laments, the beastmen around who had sights on Sydney couldn’t help but have their mouths and ears twitch in agitation.

Ash shook his head at Caden. "Sydney won’t die."

Really?" Caden asked. He was like a kid seeking assurance from an elder.

Ken didn’t understand Caden at the moment. He looked at Ash for explanation.

Really. We are all here. Nothing will happen to her." He said confidently.

Okay then." Caden nodded but immediately fell into deep thought.
