Chapter 180: Scram

Sydney and her group continued forward and by the first half of the night, they had made their way to the village.

In size, it was small but currently crowded with all sorts of beastmen going about their lives. The largest number of course was the lion beastmen.

When they arrived at what was like the fence of the village, a guard stopped them from proceeding forward. "Who are you?" He asked gruffly.

We are also migrating. We have come here to seek shelter and find a safe place to rest for the night." Ash said.

The guard scanned through them and his eyes landed on Sydney. She was wearing a good that covered her face but it was clear as day that she was a female based on her small frame and the fact that she was being carried.

She’s your female?" He asked.

True. The forest is unsafe at night so we hoped to rest here for the night." Ash replied.

Okay. I’ll allow you in for the sale of your female, or else, you’d have to continue forward where there’s a city."

There’s a city up ahead?" Ken asked exaggeratedly.

Mm. There’s one. Now, don’t ask anymore. Go in and settle. It’d be best if you lot built your home here. There are a lot of stronf beastmen who can ensure your mate’s safety." The guard advised them and let them in.

After walking past a small forest for ten minutes, they came to the village. Over a hundred huts were in place and a good number of beastmen were each lying outside the hut in their beastform. As it was already night, there was no much activity and where ever Ash and his group went by, those beastmen would lift their heads to look but since Sydney’s scent had been curbed down by alot that it wasn’t madly intoxicating, added with the fact that it was covered by her mates’ scents, they didn’t draw that much attention.

They walked through the village and came to a spot that was between houses. This part didn’t have many beastmen guarding outside and it was great for constructing a shed for the night.

When the other beastmen saw them coming to a stop, they immediately jumped up fiercely.

What are you hoots trying to do?" One asked aggressively but kept his voice down since he didn’t want to interrupt the female he liked who was sleeping inside soundly.

Ash looked at the lion beastmen from head to toe. "We only want to construct a shed here for the night." He said calmly.

Scram!!! You think I can’t see through your intentions ? You want my Esbella to notice you once she wakes up in the morning. Leave while I’m still being nice!!!" He refused to listen and was ready to exhacne blows even if it was in the middle of the night.

Let’s go." Sydney woke up and her soft sleepy voice sounded throughout the night. She had kept dozing off but this male’s voice was so loud that she was forced to wake up.

Eh???" The lion beastmen felt his heart ripple at the soft voice of the female. It was only now that he noticed that one of the beastmen was carrying a small bundle in his arms. They actually had a female!!!! And her voice is so soft that my heart’s melting!!!!

The lion beastmen blinked furiously his eyes wide. If her voice was this soft.. wasn’t her body even softer!!! Could she prettier than Esbella??!!

Okay." Enzo reoed softly and patted her head signalling for her to go back and sleep.

Ash and the others shot that lion beastmen a glare and immediately occupied that place. They weren’t going to leave in the first place just because he had said so! They only told him because they were informing him. They took more hides for Sydney’s cover, then Ash and Ken shifted into their beastform and lay on their sides. Enzo placed her between them so that she was offered enough warmth then left to sit on the side. The others followed suite as they were going to stand guard for tonight.

Sydney’s voice had been soft but since it was night and it was extremely silent, her voice had travelled far and a good number of Beasts had heard her. News about the arrival of another female spread like wild fires and before long, many of the unamted beastmen had rushed over to catch glimpse of the new female. However, they weren’t lucky and Ray and the rest had acted as covers for her.

The morning came earlier and more and more beastmen flocked over to see what this new female looked like. If she were great, then they’d do their utmost best to win her affections.

When the rays from the sun shone upon her face, Sydney groaned softly and twisted and turned, stretching in the process.

She had been covered up like a bun amd now that she was stretching, her small white limbs escaped the cover to the hides coming exposed before the heared gazes of the male beastmen who were close.

Sss...many sucked in a cold breathe!!!

What is that!!!! So white!!!!"

She’s the female, right?" Another chimed in happily his blood boiling excitedly.

We are lucky!! We have another female in the city!!!!

Right, and she doesn’t have that many mates!!! A good number of us would be chosen!!!"

Heated discussions ensued and since their voices weren’t low, Sydney heard them. She sat up with her bird nest of hair looking at the place they had spent the night at. Her eyes locked on the tens of beastmen surrounding them.

Her forest green eyes looked left, then right, she looked around her to see her mates sending death glared at those males but those males didn’t spare them a glance all looking at her.

What a way to wake up!! She mused to herself and then looked at Ash and Shawn. Good morning, she greeted all her mates with a smile.

Give me a kiss. My morning has been extremely bad!!" Ken acted spoilt. Sydney wanted to ignore him but remembering why they were here, she complied. She crawled to where he was and kissed his cheek. She withdrew and did the same for Ash and the rest of her group bewitching them with her smile in the process.

The air was thick with jealousy from the spectators!!!!

What are you lot looking at!!? Scram!!!" Ken bellowed out focusing his anger at the lion beastman who had told them to scram the previous night.

That beastman was beyond himself as he didn’t even listen to Ken’s words. His world and life had been snatched by Sydney’s beauty.

After waking up, Sydney set her hair and covered herself with the hood before being carried by Ash while Ray played the closest guard.

There’s a stream not far from here. We will bring you over to wash." She said to her and she nodded.

Let’s go." She said to the others who were gathering their things and their small family proceeded to go outside the village but still within the territory for Sydney to wash.

Behind them followed a horde of bewitched beastmen who kept a distance of around a hundred feet from them.

When those who had just woken up saw this parade, they asked around akd learnt of the arrival of a new female. Many more were curious and went out to see who she was.

Why’s the village full of excitement so early in the morning?" A young male asked lazily.

My lord, a new female joined our village last night and she’s the reason why everyone is so excited." The guard said

Oh...is she that pretty?" The lord asked.

I heard so! She doesn’t have that many males with her. They say she has flaming red hair and forest green enchanting eyes. Many say she’s the most beautiful they’ve ever seen in their lives!!" The guard reported. He too was longing to go and see that female, maybe, he’d be able of winning her affections.

Mm, that seems interesting. I have yet to choose my own female. I should go see that one that’s sent my territory into a frenzy, maybe, she’s my the one." The beastman said with a smile and stood up.

The guard lost his daze and looked at his lord. What?! If his lord is also interested in this female, then would he be capable of earning her affections?!

Let’s go." The lord said and left the cheiftans house.

At the stream, Sydney washed her face and rinsed her mouth.

I’m so pissed I can die!!" Ken was livid as he glared hatefully at the horde of beastmen who had followed them all the way to tue stream.

Why don’t you just die then? That’ll mean spare space for others." Greg joked and the others laughed at him.

Do you think I won’t beat you up?" Ken jumped up like his tail had been stepped on.

You can. But what are you angry about? She’s your mate, those who covet her, you can just beat them up, what’s getting you so angry?"

Can’t you see those numbers? They are so many!!!" Ken let out a cry of anger. He had lost count and besides, there were many that were stronger than him..this annoyed him beyong words.
