You don’t want to know!" Sydney’s voice was shrouded in urgency and this gave her mates the idea that these guys were definitely not a good opponent to tackle!

Sydney was forced to lower her body to align with Ken’s back or else she’d be thrown off Ken’s back by the wind that kept slapping at her body. I feel deeply insulted!!!" Ken was so angry that he kept expressing his anger lest it blew up from with in!

Now that they were no longer under the encirclement, Caden naturally came and took Sydney from Ken’s sprinting figure to deliver her to safety up in the skies.

That’s why all females knew that it was crucial to have a flying beastman in the family at all costs!

Just like that, their night of rest was interrupted and they kept fleeing.

Naturally, they excelled at this art and managed to escape but it wasn’t that the hound rabbits didn’t want to pursue them further, it was only that Sydney and her group had broken into another’s territory so naturally, the hound rabbits didn’t dare cross. They could only look on as the group disappeared from her sight.

Sydney sat on a stone slab as the meat was roasted over the fire. The others had also taken seats down.

Sydney...how do you know those things?" Ken who was most angry at being chased off by a rabbit couldn’t help asking. His honour and dignity had been severely damaged.

Spirit Beasts!!!" Ray looked at Sydney. Those are arch enemies of beastmen!!" He almost cried out.

How come I know no such thing?" Ken asked

Oh my Beast! What path did we take!!! To actually meet spirit beasts!!! I’m going crazy!!!" Ray first let his agitation die down before he retook his seat.

Even Sydney looked at him for explanation.

When spirit beasts and beastmen meet, only one can stand to live. I don’t know when it started but long ago when our world begun, there existed only one group...the Beasts. There was no form of division and balance was naturally present and this balance existed for many many years. But in the presence of greed, how could the balance be retained? It was impossible! A legendary battle broke out and thousands of beasts died, blood was shed, and the mystical blood river was born...born from the blood of many lives lost. So, seeing that there’d be no one left, the survivors of that battle chose to cease fighting which was agreed upon by everyone but, it was hard to go back to the way things were. Three groups were formed and each broke away to stay far away from the other. Those three groups over the years met with changes where they went. The first group is already mysterious, there’s even no name known to them, the known groups are two, Beast spirits and Beast men."

Ah..." Ken wanted to asked but no word could come out of his mouth.

Ash looked and a frown settled on his head, those were actually The spirit beasts!!!

Spirit beasts initially could be confused for normal beasts and this, many beastmen have died at the hands of spirit beasts. Also, spirit beasts are stronger than Beastman by alot. For every rank of a beastman, that’s two pre three ranks more for a spirit beast.

Ken shuddered! Caden and Shawn were also no different.

I thought based on their name, they’d only be floating ghosts!!" Ken spoke and the place dropped into dead silence.

Everyone looked at him before breaking into a fit of laughter.

Sorry to disappoint." Ray snorted with laughter. This Ken guy was really something!!!

It seems like fun talking about others behind their back, much more in their own territory." A voice spoke up not from far jolting the group from their seats to look at the other party.

They were surrounded once again! Shit!!!

They had agreed before but dared to be so reckless again!

Unicorn!!!!" Sydney cried out seeing the horned horses. They were very tall, too tall far surpassing normal horses and their builds were as if they lived in gyms! Absurd, right!! Their coats were literally glittering with Vitality and their leg muscles could cause one and ith to want to touch them so bad! But the most important thing was.. these horses were talking!!!! Their mouths would move, it wasn’t surprising though since Ash and the others could also speak while in their beast forms but it could be more considered as transmitting the voice from within!

Because if it was really talking, you could imagine the scene and how hilarious it’d be!! For Caden to make an example, his beak would makes noises if here to talk and hence only their voices would be transmitted over to the intended parties

Wrong. It’s horned beast." The horse that had spoken first corrected Sydney his eyes obviously not leaving her.

Oh..sorry!" She apologized.

Everyone makes mistakes. Don’t fret." The horse was cool minded. "So...we are floating ghosts?" The horse asked this time making Ken choke.

Couldn’t help it." Ken was honest. Anyway, how come we didn’t notice you surrounding is? You guys’hooves would definitely make sound, so how?" Ken asked his most puzzling question.

"We are after all floating ghosts. What’s so unnatural about us ambushing you?" The horse asked. Those behind him said nothing to add on or ridicule them. There was also no trace of hostility from them because if that had been the case, Sydney and herates would have to flee once again.

Uh?" Ken didn’t understand.

The horse looked at Ash and surprise immediately flickered in his eyes.

Follow me. Staying out in the open like this isn’t good." He said and turned to lead the way.

Huh?!" This time Caden didn’t know what to say anymore.

The others were also puzzled, Sydney too!

You do not have to worry. I bare no plan to harm any of you so just come along. Though it’s day, this place is the deadliest." He cautioned them and proceeded to walk. If it was following him, it would definitely be up to them!

Ray and Ash came to stand on either side of Sydney and then followed. The majority had decided, Ken, Shawn and Caden could only follow along.

What’s your name?" Sydney asked. She was curious where they were being taken and also wanted to know the name of this horse as she didn’t want to refer to him as hey or something!

However her act was misinterpreted and Ken’s face darkened. Don’t be interested in him! He’s a horse!! Just look at those things jingling between his legs!!! He desperately wanted to shout those words!!!

Ash also gritted his teeth silently and his hand immediately went to hold Sydney’s own claiming his territory.

Keeler." The horse replied.

Keeler....." Sydney called out his name with a drawl. It was like a little song immediately making the faces of her mates extremely black, no less from the bottom of a cooking pot. What are you singing his name for!!!!

My name is...."

I’ll call you Cora." Keeler spoke before she could say her name. He wanted to say Core but how was that a name?

Being suddenly named, Sydney was flabbergasted into speechlessness while Ken jumped up in fury! I’ll serve you fory dinner! How dare you name my female!? I’ll bite your meat and used your bones to sharpen my teeth!" Ken was close to sprinting towards Keeler and do as he vowed. He had been with Sydney for long but hadn’t come up with a unique name to address her with yet this horse actually formed a name and called her that without her permission! With a tug at his furry ears from Sydney, he immediately moaned and calmed down. That place was sensitive... sensitive alright!!!!!
