Sydney followed after Keeler and soon, they came to a dense small forest, not bigger than a football field, they went through it with alot of ease coming before a settlement.

It wasn’t one to be considered small and there was a great number of horned Beasts walking around minding their business. But on seeing intruders in their territory, they became alert and their horns begun producing vibrating sounds that cause Sydney and her mates to feel a sudden shot of pain.

Argggg.." Sydney couldn’t handle the pain and groaned grabbing her head.

Keeler was displeased and his own horn released the same sound shooting back at his own clansmen.

What’s this chief Keeler?" The attacked horned horse bellowed. You are actually attacking your own kind for an outsider!?"

They are our clans guests. And I personally brought them over. What does it mean when you suddenly attack without rhyme or reason?!" Keeler was calm as he asked.

Obviously! They are beastmen, what’s there to not attack?" The other hissed.

Sydney felt alot better after the sound attack ceased and couldn’t help looking at the number of horned horses that surrounded them. She didn’t know whether it was right or wrong to have come to this place. But it wasn’t far, incase they were under threat, they’d still be able to retreat!

The horned Beasts revealed ferocious looks but didn’t attack.

Keeler who was the chief was having a serious exchange with that clansman. If you really wish to receive an explanation, then let me first let our guests find a place to rest then I’ll come and explain myself to you all." Keeler said and turned to face Sydney.

I’m sorry you ended up getting hurt. Come..I’ll take you to your nest to rest while I deal with them."

Sydney looked at the horned beast that had attacked and it huffed it’s nostrils aggressively but there wasn’t any killing intent in its eyes. Only great and deep displeasure. She offered the latter a small smile and followed Keeler.

Forgive my clansmen for being harsh, we aren’t ones to attack for no reason but I seem to have caught them of guard. But we are peaceful beasts so no need to worry for your safety during your stay." His words assured them a little and Ash and the others were also not so tense but their guard was up.

After all, they were already on the platter of the other party, if it came to slaughtering them, what we’re their chances of survival?

After walking for about ten minutes, they came to the heart of the settlement and were brought to their nest.

It was four trees working as the boundary and a stack of dry grasses as thick as tens of feet tall. And that was it.

Sydney had already seen other homes and she wasn’t the lease surprised about the place. As long as it was clean.

Thank you so much for offering us shelter." He was greatful to Keeler.

It’s nothing much. Settle in, I’ll be back to host you properly." He said and turned to walk away.

Sydney took off her shoes and went to step into her home. The space was as wide as a single room, sufficient enough for them. Shawn placed Sydney’s bag and shifted into his human form so that he’d clean his feet. Naturally others followed suit.

Their neighbours were looking over at the visitors with intrigue, the old and young, though some were naturally not friendly, they just looked away with contempt but that was all.

Wow...we are actually in a neat of spirit Beasts but haven’t been eaten up!" Ray was still in pure awe.

What horse eats meat!?" Ken asked with an eye roll

Do I need to refresh your mind?" Ray almost jumped up and Ken was shut up immediately but his lips twitched uncontrollably.

How could he forget those hound rabbits!?

There stayed in their nest , Ray brimming with excitement and desire to walk around and make some new friends but this was not their territory and could only wait for Keeler who had brought them around to permit them lest they wander off into forbidden zones and incite danger for themselves.

Keeler stood in the center as many of his clansmen who required an explanation surrounded him.

He remained silent as they blew his head off with constant complaints.

Are you all done?" He asked completely silencing them up. How many years have we been out of the spirit forest? Don’t tell me you’ve all forgotten why our former fathers were sent out!" He asked and everyone lowered their heads. If you feel that you can’t do this anymore, you are free to set out and go back to the spirit forest, as to whether you are able to make it back, that’ll be solely on you. But if I do something, just know it’s for our own good." He said and many raised their heads to look at him. What did this mean?!

You mean....." No one dared to complete the sentence.

Yes. The core!" Keeler nodded and their eyes alsmot popped out of their sockets.

Sydney’s big green eyes looked at the baby horses that kept creeping up next to her nest with their big round and curious eyes. They varied in colours as some were of a single colour while others were of two or more colours. The sight was dazzling.

The babies some had short cute horns while the extremely young ones had only a small protrude on their heads where their honrs would sprout as they grew.

Do you think Keeler will be angry if I get involved with the little ones?" Sydney asked.

I don’t think Keeler will have an issue, the parents should be the one’s you should worry about." Ash said with a doting smile. His sweet mate was a softie for babies. They had been in their nest but she hadn’t say down one bit and at the moment, she was on her knees her small butt sticking out as her attention was on the little ones.

Hearing his words, Sydney looked at her neighbour in contemplation before she chose to initiate a conversation. The other party was surprised seeing Sydney taking the initiative to talk to her.

She was a brown and black female horned beast. She returned the greeting awkwardly.

Is it okay if I interact with them?" Sydney asked her eyes pointing in the direction of the little ones.

Uh..uhm...the female horse didn’t know what to say. You can interact with my children." She definitely couldn’t speak out for others but she allowed so for her children, after all, Sydney was a fellow female who was extremely pretty and pleasing to the eye. Moreover, her children had already asked to go and play with her but she hadn’t been sure about Sydney’s opinion.

Oh...thank you." Sydney said with a smile and immediately hopped off her nest, her shoes in her legs, three young horses dashed over to her.

Sydney was good at handling children, she also loves them alot and the feeling was reciprocated naturally. They nudged upon jer body as they were only as tall as her waist. She also took liberties and petted them dearly.

Seeing this scene, the other parents gave consent to their children and soon, Sydney was surrounded by them all vying to be petted.

It was hard to notice with the naked eye but a soft red glow begun to begun to emanate from Sydney. The horns of the little ones absorbed it without their notice at all! But at a terrifying speed, the glow that had spread from her was sucked dry.

Ash and the others remained in the nest before each one of them moved out to interact with Ray taking the lead, the stern and cold male horned beasts begun to let their guards down and interact on a small base.

The female horned beasts had also snatched Sydney from the children and surrounded her singin praises of her beauty.

Wow your head furs are so beautiful!!!"

I know right! They glitter!!

Look at her eyes!! So green like the forest! So enchanting!!"

Though her body lacks furs, it’s also white, it’s very pretty!"

Female beastmen are really good looking. I’d like to see more of them!"

Hahaha..you are all very pretty and strong!" Sydney wasn’t idle either as she sang praises of them too. I’ve never seen such grace in movements even among the hundreds of female beastmen." She shared her experiences.

By the time Keeler returned, he found that the settlement was a lot more livelier than he’d ever seen. Except for those rhat kept guard, more had returned and were astound to see this form of change. Where it might have been normal for Sydney, seeing her males also interacting with the male horned beast, it was jaw dropping.

See, I was right!" Keeler said proudly.

If it’s her, it’s not hard to believe but her mates...."

They hold a silver of her in their bodies after the mating ..so it’s natural." Keeler answered with a smile.

But it’s still a long way to get to the spirit beast forest....her mates might die on the way! Other spirit beasts will naturally not do anything to her but her mates meat will be hard to ignore since it carries the energy of the core."

Then we have to of course warn them. They took the toughest route so they are bound to meet with others. The best we can help is inform them so that they do not walk around blindly and as for us, we request for a strand of her hair which is enough to earn entry back to the spirit forest." Keeler said hope and relief dancing in his eyes.

Their younger generations were far more weaker than them and it’d be hard to survive for long. But now that she was here, there was hope for them! They’d be able to go back home.
