Chapter 144: Radon Continent.

Lilly was led to a small establishment where the lord sat and along the way a few familiar beasts greeted them. They were more likeable towards Lilly.

"Lord...I have escorted the guests over." The guard said and waited till they were permitted in.

He walked away once he was done.

It’s been years Lilly!" The Spirit beast Lord greeted with an amiable smile swimming gracefully in a stadium wide pool. The sound of water splashing to and fro filled the ears accompanied by his mellow voice.

"It’s good to see you again." Lilly looked into the water her eyes locking with the blue ringed octopus, Felice.

"So what made you think of visiting me after so long? You know I don’t always get visitors from outside." Felice splashed the water and pushed his heavy body out of the water.

"There are a group of migrants crossing the mountains but you should know of the poisonous fog in the valley...if they proceed along this path,many will die and even if it’s not that, many females and cubs will die on the mountain because of the cold. We are here to beseech you to permit them to go through your tunnel."

Felice looked at Lilly in silence upon hearing her request. You know what your doing isn’t helping but actually creating more disaster?" He asked his eyes examining each and everyone of them.

"Lilly....you don’t have to bare the burden, it isn’t yours you know. And besides, the balance will fall, even those that weren’t supposed to die will die. Haven’t you ever wondered why only this side of the mountain is one with the poisonous valley....it’s because this balance can’t be lost. If so, then nature will do it’s best to keep the balance."

Silence ensued.

"I’ll let you think it through. Naturally, this isn’t your burden to bare but if you choose to take it on, then there’s nothing I can do to stop you. I’ll wait here for you for your answer." Felice said and sunk back into the pool.

Sydney looked at the departing figures of beasts they had encountered. Finally those females could inagurate into a new family.

I hope they get to the city safely." She mumbled watching their retreating backs.

Their lives aren’t your burden to bare." Ray spoke from the side. He was happy to rid themselves of those females. They had things to do too.

Let’s go. We can’t stray off from our initial route." Ken said breaking the atmosphere.

Sydney didn’t refuse since they had indeed left to find Titan and tour around. She jumped onto Shawn’s back and the group proceeded forward.

They traveled for two weeks through the grassland uneventfully except for running into some small animals, sparse herds and the likes. The dry season had also gotten hotter and if not for Ray’s idea of constructing an umbrella to protect Sydney against the sun, she’d have tanned already.

At the moment, they were resting under a tree waiting for Caden to return from inspecting their route.

Sydney kept looking up to the sky with a frown. It’s been two days already! Is he alright?" She asked Ash who was seated just across her.

He should be alright." Ash assured her and went back to attending to her food. He had seen Caden grow up though he wouldn’t be considered close, he knew that Caden was a capable eaglet. He smirked at the thought.

What are you laughing about!?" Sydney asked curiously.

It’s not much...just, I thought of Caden and couldn’t help myself."

Caden! Tell me." She inquisitively peered into Ash’s emerald eyes.

I just remembered when he had just hatched out of his shell. At that time, I happened to visit the eagle castle as I had something to talk to Carlos about. He’d follow after Carlos like a tail..." He laughed remembering Caden’s clumsy steps.

Sydney laughed along imaging Caden as an eaglet trotting after Carlos around the castle.

Tell me more." She insisted to know more.

At that time, they called him little prince...he didn’t really like people. The only one he wanted was Carlos...he was..."

A gust of wind cut off his words and a black faced Caden landed under the tree in his naked glory.

Ah..you’ve returned!" Sydney jumped up to take his skin skirt for him but the smile on her lips was undisguised to say the least, she was only holding back herself from bursting out.

Caden glared at Ash who shrugged. Who asked you to be younger than me! His expression said those words.

Don’t be angry!" She giggled seeing his black face as she helped him tie his skin skirt.

Caden looked down at her and saw her smile. He became helpless and bent down to kiss that naughty smile off her lips. After pecking her lips to his satisfaction, he sauntered away feeling a lot better. She could laugh all she wants and he’d kiss her all he desires.

Ken who was leaning against the tree saw Caden Kiss Sydney and he jumped up to get in line but his face met her palm as he was pushed away. "My lips hurt!" She complained.

It’s his fault!" Ken angrily glared at Caden. How long had it been since they were last intimate with her!? He thought about it every time but since she wasn’t in the mood for it and no longer blushed even when he paraded himself naked, he could only helplessly hold onto his boner in prayer and fasting that she’d finally call for them!

Caden used a tree trunk as his table as he drew on their map the features he had seen. Sydney was leaning over his shoulder as he drew.

A swamp!" She frowned.

Mm, and it’s endless." Caden peeked at her before continuing to draw. I had to fly for half a day to see its end and just when I thought there might be something beyond it, what welcomed me was an endless body of water.

I flew along the coast and the other half of the night and guess what, the city of beasts was actually in sight. I could see that city walls then the forest which connected to the water. I had never seen this much water in my life." He added.

Then it should be a sea or ocean. What should we name it?!" She asked and all fell into contemplation.

Caden saw that she had been standing for a while and tagged at her to come from behind him to sit on his lap.

Such a scene wasn’t new and she had already grown accustomed to it.

How about blue Ocean?" Caden asked.

Let’s call it that." Others had no opinion. He was the one who saw it so he had a better name for it. And so their map had the first ocean on it which was a border line mark of the Radon continent.

Let’s rest for now and change route." Sydney suggested and they agreed. Since Caden had just returned from a two and half days journey, he needed to rest before they could proceed.

The night came fast and Sydney lay on Ash’s belly. They had one bedding and had decided to share it amongst themselves. Today, Ash worked as a pillow for his beautiful mate.

Sydney’s hand traced Titan’s mark on her neck. Are you alright where you are!? Don’t wander too far, ....let’s meet sooner, okay!

She sighed and turned to sleep. What’s was most important was that he was alive... wherever he is, they’d find him!

In a cave thousands of miles away!

After Titan had escaped from the city of beasts and the events that followed, he woke up in an unfamiliar cave but he was in no position to observe it as the flames inside his body raged on fiercely.

He could only hiss and grunt from the pain but that feeling wouldn’t go away. He had only once choice and that was to force himself back into hibernation. With his senses dulled out, the pain wouldn’t be so exhuriating.

And like that, he curled up into an egg like structure the size of a small house with a golden coating. If one were to run into him, they’d honestly mistaken him for a colossal egg.

Inside the same cave, a pair of flaming red eyes stared at Titan with killing intent.

"You are helpless against me now. I wonder if I should kill you! Hmmm, you race tried to hide you away from me but I found you first! Tch! A dragon guised as a snake....that was indeed one tricky move. Too bad, it wasn’t able to escape my eyes. Now...what do we do about you .." the owner of the flaming red eyes had his monologue as he observed Titan with interest.

"I should let them know I found you." His smirk deepened but his eyes were cold. "Hahahaha!"

Sydney who was sleeping felt a chill down her spine and she was jolted awake from her sleep sweating buckets. Her breathes were short and hurried. Her hand went to her neck where Titan’s mark sat.

Her mates also woke up on sensing her distress.

What....what’s wrong?!" Ash asked as he shifted into his human form before embracing her from behind. He tilted her head to face him only to see her pale and fear filled eyes.

Ken brought over some water while Caden ran off to light the fire. Since it was a moonless night, her eyesight wasn’t good.

They first concentrated on making sure she was emotionally stable before asking.

"Titan...he...he’s in danger....." Her voice was small and hoarse. I don’t know if we can make it in time.... someone wants to kill him..." She chocked and couldn’t help crying worriedly.
