Chapter 107: In the loop of time.

The falcon king was red in the face all night long. He had come to have a talk but now he wasn’t even permitted to leave or he would be striken to death.

Hamp’s house.

He looked at the beastman on the ground with a complicated gaze. No matter how he tried, he just couldn’t pinpoint which clan he belonged to!

He sat on the ground and observed him keenly.

"I know you are awake! You don’t need to pretend!" He pointed out.

The sick male opened his eyes and looked at Hamp. "Who are you?" he asked indifferently.

"I’m Hamp. Sydney assigned me to watch over you since she couldn’t bring you back home!" He was honest and didn’t lie.

The blue eyed male frowned. She couldn’t bring him home? Why? He was her mate!!

"Your wounds healed faster than I expected. I even didn’t do anything!" Hamp continued to explain. He had been fumbling with herbs only to realise that all his efforts were useless!

"Where is her home?!" He asked. But frowned the more. He watched her die with his own eyes and had to sacrifice his beast so that he could keep his promise to her! She had entrusted him with the cubs and he couldn’t leave them to fend for themselves.

Technically, he would be considered a stray beast! But now, Sydney was alive!!!

It was ridiculous, okay!!!

Hamp saw that he was lost in his thoughts and excused himself. He had gone out to hunt but hadn’t yet skinned his prey! Normally, he’d just swallow it whole but ever since he met Sydney, he had learnt from the school’s kitchen how to prepare cooked food! He’d suffer serious burns but with living Sydney’s lifestyle, it made him feel like he lived in her home!

He lit the fire and jumped far away from it!

The blue eyed male walked in and that was the scene he ran into. He was amused!

"Aren’t you a snake beastman? Why are you playing with fire?" he asked as he came to see what was going on.

"Who is playing?! I’m going to cook!" Hamp pointed out the obvious.

"At this rate, I’m afraid you’ll not only burn your house down but end up cooking yourself too!" The blue eyed guy walked over and without regard to the fire, he set it right and it wasn’t blazing amok in the kitchen! " You should be able to manage with this!" he smiled and walked away from Hamp’s meat.

But he wasn’t far off when his stomach growled loudly that Hamp mistook it for a wilder beast’s stampage!

He ended up inviting him over for some food. "You can call me Ray!" the blue eyed male introduced himself.

Hamp spent the night with a stranger in his home but he didn’t feel the least uncomfortable! He was rather happy to have someone to love with in his home. Ray’s cooking was also really good! The salt was at its right measurements and the meat was cooked nicely! Not like his burnt black meat that tastes like a salt mine!

They chatted!

"So, you said Sydney has five mates!" he continued to probe.

"Yeah! Two beast lords. One a snake and the other a black panther! Two more wolf beasts and the young eagle prince!" Hamp looked at Ray expectantly.

Ray went into silence. He knew two out of all those people. He was sure of it! Now it made sense as to why she didn’t bring him home! He felt a bitter after taste in his mouth but was happy at the same time! At least she was alive!

"Is the black panther named Ash?" he asked just to be sure.

"Yes. He’s Lord Ash!" Hamp said and went to collect the used dishes to take them out.

Ray only laughed. So they were still in the loop of time. That old white panther had called it so! Then it also meant that Zery was still running amok like a headless chicken causing trouble everywhere he went!

I have something on tomorrow! I’ll have to trouble you to spend the night here." Ray spoke kindly. It was already a rare occasion that this snake beast was allowing him in his home and offering him food. He understood that he was doing it because Sydney asked him too but a part of the snake beastman also wanted to.

Ray could I let thicken his shamelessness and request to stay! Alot had to be done at this rate.

The night drew in and silence ensued.

At Ash’s home, there was a group that were prisoners of their own actions. They spent the entire night waiting for the overlords to wake up and grace them with their presence. They were so bitter at heart!

But luckily, the beast gods loved them so much that the morning came earlier than usual. Sydney remained asleep despite the loud chripping of birds outside the window.

Titan had no intention of entertaining the group outside. If anything, he wanted to eliminate the female for once and for all! But he had just let his clan settle here, his reckless acts could implicate them for all he cares but Sydney was different. He was forced to swallow his tongue and not act rashly.

What was being frustrating was the fact that they couldn’t even come close to the courtyard.

The other kings had heard about this confrontation from the Falcon king and a few other tribe leaders who were also mates to the falcon king’s female but they understood Ash wasn’t one to act rashly. There had to be a reason.

However, when they were dragged over so early in the morning to stand as fair judges, they regretted ther choices of coming to this place.

All of them had seen a white headed snake once in a while but it was always one!

A million of them that blanketed the courtyard and hang off the house was out of the books!

This was no longer a simple matter, they had to step in as leaders!

But who wa brave enough to walk into that courtyard? They looked amongst themselves and shook their head internally! Not in a trillion life times!
