Killian widened his eyes in shock "Pr-pregnant?"

Lyra nodded her head and calmly explained "I missed my periods this month and also my constant irritation and agitation makes it obvious that I’m with child"

Killian blinked his eyes in a daze "What is, periods?"

She giggled "It is another name for heat"

He frowned "Then how can you get pregnant without going into heat?"

"Ah" Lyra realized that she didn’t explain her reproduction cycle to him. So she spoke, "Will you believe me if I say that I’m slightly different from the females of this world?"

He nodded his head "I know that you are from another world"

"Hmm" she hummed and started talking "In our world, females can go into heat every month"

"Uh?" Killian questioned in doubt "Every month? But how is it possible?"

"It is possible there," she remarked "So I can get pregnant, any time of the year if I’m in good health"

Killian opened and closed his mouth stupefied. It was a well-known fact that the beast world had a less conceiving rate, so females were treated preciously by their own, tribes. Then his mind went wild thinking about others learning about Lyra’s ability, it would be dangerous.

He got up from the bed and pulled her up and asked her seriously "Did you tell this to anyone else?"

Lyra shook her head "Only Blake, Lucas, and Noah knows about this, I know that it is risky to reveal it to others"

"Good" Killian asserted "Make sure to not reveal this to anyone in the future"

"This worrywart," she said and flicked his head "Go and ask Lucas to bring a doctor, I want to confirm my doubt"

"Alright, I’ll go" Killian informed as he got down from the bed and exited the room.

Lyra’s face turned gloomy as soon as he went out of the room. For god’s sake, she didn’t know who was the father of the child inside her. Now that she thought about it, she did it with both Lucas and Noah in the past couple of weeks, Blake was not possible because she was not intimate with him after coming to the beast city.

She sighed and calmed herself, she thought of thinking properly in such a situation. So she started to count her fertile window, but soon that also failed because she realized that she was intimate with both of them during this time "Ugh" a frustrated groan left her mouth when she inferred how ignorant she had been.

After some time Killian returned with the doctor and soon Lucas, Blake, and Noah also came inside the room.

Blake strode towards her and held her hand "Are you okay Lilly?" his worried voice warmed Lyra’s heart. She remembered her outburst yesterday in the living room and frowned. She should have listened to his words fully, without interrupting him. Lyra realized that the truth he was hiding from her for many days must be about her origin. And yesterday he finally made up his mind to reveal everything, to only receive her distrust. She wanted to apologize, but it was not the right time because the doctor was here, so she nodded her head "I’m fine Blake"

And before he could reply, Killian cut his words "Let the doctor examine her first, Get away from her snake"

Lyra glared at Killian earning a nonchalant shrug from him, Blake got up from his place and let the doctor near her.

The doctor who was from the silver wolf tribe sat on the stone chair near the bed and held her wrist to assess her pulse. His old face crinkled as he concentrated and soon that was replaced into a blooming smile. He looked up to Lyra and announced "Congratulations my lady, you are with child"

Lucas on the sidelines gasped and rushed towards her "Is it true!?" his booming voice resounded in the room making the doctor chuckle "Yes your highness, it is true"

Lucas grinned and turned towards Lyra. His happy face made her even more guilty, whereas when she glanced at Noah, he was relatively calm and composed. Then she awkwardly peeked at Blake.

Blake understood her concern and bent towards the doctor whispering something. The doctor nodded his head and took out a mystic crystal from his animal skin backpack.

He held it in his hand and clarified about the object "This can detect the paternity of the child. Both the parents must put a drop of blood on this crystal and if it turns blue, then it is confirmed that the child’s father is the one who put his blood. This is created by witch masters because it is common for females to not know the child’s father if she has many males"

The more she listened, the more Lyra’s face heated up in embarrassment. so she quickly stretched her hand towards the doctor "Then please test it quickly"

The doctor bobbed his head and took a sharp and small fishbone and pricked her finger. Blood oozed out of her fair finger and fell on the mystic crystal. Then the doctor did the same to Lucas and observed the crystal for some time as It did not change its color to blue.

He sadly shook his head at Lucas and opened his mouth "The child is not yours your highness"

Lucas frowned upon hearing his words and got up from the bed leaving the room. Lyra wanted to follow after him but was stopped by Blake "You still need to get examined"

She reluctantly sat on the bed and glanced at Noah "Come here, if it is not Lucas’s, then I’m sure that the child is yours"

Noah slowly walked towards her. His brain was still processing the words that she said and soon the doctor repeated the same test to Noah and Lyra. Noah held his breath, as he stared at the crystal, then as on cue, the crystal turned into dark blue.

He widened his eyes and whisked his neck towards Lyra "Baby dove....." His voice came out choked because of the sudden joy he felt. The doctor together with sulking Killian and moody Blake left the room.

As soon as they left, Noah embraced Lyra and smiled "Thank you" That was all that came out of his mouth. Previously, when the doctor said about her pregnancy, he was happy for Lucas, because the thought about it being his child, didn’t even cross his mind.

Lyra chuckled "You didn’t anticipate this?"

"No, I thought it is Lucas’s child" he answered honestly. It was because Lyra made it clear to him before mating that the next time she would conceive, it will be for Lucas. He had to admit that he felt bad that time, but now he didn’t know how to feel. He felt bad for Lucas, as he knew how much he was anticipating having a child. On another side, he felt satisfied that his love for Lyra was fruiting inside her stomach, Let him be selfish for once, he thought inwardly.

"Are you not happy?" she questioned to which he immediately replied "Offcourse I’m happy! I cannot wait to announce this to my tribe’s men and parents"

Lyra stroked his back "Let us go to the lion’s castle together in the evening"

Noah pulled away from her and pecked her lips "I love you"

"Me too" she replied as she kissed his cheek and jaw.
