Beauty in the beast world -
Chapter 135: Capture
Chapter 135: Capture
Blake avoided a tree that was going to collapse on him and glared at the big scorpion that caused it, "Demir come to your senses!"
The giant black scorpion merely glanced at Blake and continued his rampage by toppling another tree.
Meanwhile outside the forest, beastmen of different tribes curiously peered at the forest.
"What is happening in there?" One of the beastman asked curiously.
"I think some powerful beastmen are dueling each other," said another one hearing the loud sound of trees crashing on the ground.
"Should we go and take a look?" The previous beastman said and others nodded entering the forest.
whereas in the forest, Blake went rigid when he sensed another presence coming toward them. He clicked his tongue glancing over and caught sight of some beastmen striding towards them.
He stealthily left his place and reached them, "Stop right there!"
The beastmen visibly flinched hearing an authoritative voice of an immortal beastman.
"An immortal scorpion beastman’s poison is acting up. You people will die if you take any step more than this" Blake said and they widened their eyes.
"We will leave your majesty," they said and tried to walk away until Demir noticed their presence and rushed to attack them.
"Leave!" Blake warned for the last time before shifting into his beast form.
He narrowed his emerald green eyes and encircled Demir’s body with his tail. The beastmen that entered the forest sprinted out of the forest to inform others about the fight between two immortal beastmen.
After their departure, Blake completely turned his attention to Demir and tried his best to restrict the scorpion from moving around. He supposed that Demir’s poison would get neutralized after some time but he was in for surprise because Demir’s poison became stronger and started influencing Blake.
The black snake immediately distanced himself from Demir and countered the scorpion poison with his own venom.
Demir’s poison paralyzed Blake’s movements whereas Blake’s venom which was Hemotoxic attacked Demir’s blood cells making it difficult for him to breathe.
Two giant beasts slumped on the ground with a loud ’Thud’.
Demir’s heart was beating furiously and his defense mechanism tried its best to push put the snake’s venom from his system. He darted his scorpion eyes at the paralyzed snake in front of him and struggled to stand up. Something inside him screamed for him to kill that snake off right now.
Meanwhile, Blake too was struggling to remove Demir’s venom from his body. He didn’t understand Demir’s sudden violent behavior. Even during their old days, when they trained with each other, Demir always made sure to not attack them during his poison act up. But looking at the current situation, Blake could more or less guess that Demir was trying to kill him. His every move was targeted at his vitals and Blake was utterly confused at Demir’s sudden killing intent towards him.
Soon they succeeded in getting rid of each other’s poison from their bodies and stood up from the ground.
Blake closed his eyes and suppressed his emotions. If Demir was truly trying to kill him, then he had no other choice than to defend himself even if that meant Killing Demir in that process. He didn’t want to die so soon, his Lilly is waiting for him to return and he still had to take care of his little ones. Peter and his tribe depended on him and he had no heart to abandon them so soon.
He sharply opened his eyes and looked at the black Scorpion in front of him with no emotion.
Demir too took his fighting stance and rushed to attack Blake but fell to the ground.
Blake was taken aback by this until he saw a familiar figure at a distance.
Dark ink blue hair fluttered due to the wind and nonchalant amethyst-colored eyes looked at him with a bored look, "Don’t you guys have any other better place to fight? Go out to an open field and kill each other you annoying bastards!"
Kaizer felt like crushing them to pieces. He was deep in his slumber when they disturbed him. As a rootless beast, he didn’t like people’s company and was beyond annoyed when the Black wolf tribe’s king pestered him to attack the snake tribe again. That old man wanted revenge and he thought that he could use him to achieve that.
Killing that King was easy but Kaizer didn’t want to cause any more trouble so he left the tribe and came to this forest to be alone. But here it was more irritating with these two idiots fighting each other.
He darted his purple eyes at the black scorpion and furrowed his brows. Something was wrong, he could feel it. A disturbing power masked the scorpion beastman’s thoughts, "Mind control?" He chuckled with mirth, "Should I remove it to annoy the caster?"
Kaizer liked that idea. He loved to annoy someone but hated when someone did it to him in return. Closing his eyes he started removing Demir’s mind control with his dark attribute and sensed him turning back to his beastman form.
Blake widened his eyes and immediately shifted to his beastman form and stepped towards Demir.
Demir groggily opened his eyes and caught sight of Blake’s worry-filled face, "Are you alright?" He heard him asking and frowned when he felt a searing pain in his head.
"Ugh!" He held his forehead and slowly got up from the ground. Then, peered at his surrounding in confusion, "What am I doing here?"
"I think your poison acted up" Blake replied and Demir got even more confused, "It’s not possible" the last time his poison acted up was not long ago and he didn’t think that it would come again this soon.
"Then what are you doing here?" He asked the next question he had in his mind and Blake glared at him.
"I noticed you passing the snake tribe with a troubled face and followed you here. But you acted like someone crazy, you also wanted to kill me"
"No way" Demir mumbled in disbelief.
Blake narrowed his eyes and looked at Kaizer, "You can ask him if you don’t believe me"
Demir shifted his eyes at Kaizer and turned back at Blake, "And who the hell is he?"
Blake opened his mouth to retort but halted hearing Kaizer’s voice.
"Done?" He tried his best to keep calm and said between his gritted teeth, "If you are done with your nonsense, leave this place"
Demir was offended, "And who are you to order us around!?"
Kaizer frowned and Blake turned to Demir and whispered, "He is a rootless beastman from the black wolf tribe. And he was the one to stop your rampage earlier"
"Rootless beast?" Demir glanced at Kaizer with pity and the latter was irked by it.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Oh, it’s nothing," Demir said and turned away.
Kaizer narrowed his eyes, "What is so different between you two and me? I know that cold-blooded beastmen like you both are hated by your females. At least I don’t mark someone by force like you guys"
And his words did not even affect the two. Blake was adored by Lyra and Demir too bet that his sunshine liked him and did not mind him being cold-blooded even from their first meeting. So they glanced at each other with a knowing smile and stood up from the ground.
"We will leave" they announced in unison and turned around to leave but halted hearing Kaizer’s next words.
"Why are you two smiling like that?" He could not understand these two. Even during his confrontation with Blake, he noticed how the snake was not even a bit affected by his taunt regarding his female. Now that he remembered, Blake also said that his female liked him and never hated him for being a savage beastman.
Kaizer did not believe it. From what he knew about females, they were snobbish, arrogant, spoiled, and behaved like everything was below their feet and that included their mates. This was even more for cold-blooded beastmen, females loathed being with them, and only stayed by force.
"It’s just that, my mate loves me so much that I cannot relate to your words" Blake’s gloating voice brought him out of his thoughts.
Even Demir had a dreamy smile remembering his sunshine, "She is the most beautiful and the kindest soul I have ever seen. My sunshine is the best!"
"But she loves me more though," Blake said earning a glare from Demir.
"But she likes my face the most" Demir retorted and Blake chuckled, "Is that something you can boast about?"
Two went on with their endless banter and Kaizer observed them with disbelief and irritation in his gaze. Was there really such a female out there? Then would she accept even someone like him? All these thoughts swirled in his mind and the last conclusion he came to was ’I should capture her and see for myself’
