Chapter 134: Danger

Victor closed his eyes and buried his face in the crook of her neck.

He knew that her power was something related to water and remained silent for her to soothe him and his emotions.

Victor too tried his best to concentrate to break free from his mind control while Lyra continued pouring her powers into him. She was not sure about her power yet, but after practicing for the past few weeks she was able to understand that her power could heal.

When Kyrell kidnapped her, it was the first time that she faced Darya from her dream. From then on, she tried to summon that water nymph but always failed. Lyra had so many questions for the nymph. ’Why is she helping me of all people?’ And ’Is Vanadey safe?’ Just remembering that woman’s warm smile brought her happiness.

Lyra knew little about ’Sapphire of wish’. Her mates always avoided talking about it and she has to admit that it made her angry. She knew that something was going on around her but as a person who is the target of many enemies she didn’t know what that was. She knew that her mother wished the gem to bring her back to life and for that, Gregory hated her. She also heard that the fox king wanted both her and her mother dead for him to get the full access to ’Sapphire of wish’

The only relaxing thing in all this was that she knew about her identity as half fairy. But nothing else other than that. She sighed and turned her attention back to Victor, "How are you feeling?"

He didn’t answer immediately and she maintained her silence. Learning about being mind-controlled must have already been shocking for him, so she didn’t want to press him more for an answer.

Victor relaxed his head on her shoulder and parted his lips, "I feel exhausted"

"Hmm," she said caressing his back and he continued, "My head feels like breaking" she tightened her grip around him hearing that, "But I feel free, I can sense all of my mistakes that I did for the past few weeks"

"It’s not your fault," she said in a gentle voice, "You didn’t do anything on purpose, so stop blaming yourself"

"How can you forgive me so easily sweet girl?" Tears welled up in his eyes saying those words, "The more you are like this, the more I think that I do not deserve you"

"You deserve the world, honey," she said and Victor chuckled at her endearment, "I like when you call me honey"

"Really?" She giggled, "I thought you found it silly"

"No way will I think like that!" He exclaimed and then smirked, "You are my sweet girl and I’m your honey....even our endearment for each other match so well"

Lyra pulled away and stared at his handsome face with a smile on her lips, "I see that my sweet and sly Victor is back" then she leaned and kissed his lips, "I missed you" Lyra said this because for the past few weeks she felt like walking on eggshells whenever she faced Victor. His serious mood was unfamiliar and she always missed her joyful and teasing Victor.

Victor grinned at her and she peppered kisses all over his face, "Ahh...How much I missed this silly face"

As she gushed at him while kissing, Victor was dumbfounded. Did he really behave so badly that she was this happy to get his old self back? He couldn’t help but question this to himself but stopped worrying and started enjoying her attention on him.

Lyra finished her kiss attack on him after giving a final peck on his lips, "I love you....."

Victor beamed at her, "I love you too sweet girl!"

She chuckled at his antics. He was grinning so hard that she was scared that he would pull a muscle on his cheeks. Lyra could almost visualize dog ears and tail on him.....He was so cute!

As Lyra and Victor solved their differences and he came out of his mind control, someone else inside the forest clutched his head and fell to the ground.

"Sunshine, where are you?" Demir left out an agonizing whimper as he muttered.

"Please love me....." He said while still lying on the ground, "I will not kill them.....I will let them live, So please don’t hate me"

His mind control was worst because he was a scorpion beastman. Whenever he was angry or irritated, his poison would act up. But the experience now that he was going through was the worst in his entire lifetime.

When he got up from his slumber which was coerced by Darcio, he rushed out of his tribe because he didn’t want to hurt others during his poison acting up.

On his way to the forest, he passed through the snake tribe and caught sight of Blake. Demir felt jealousy as soon as he saw him, his mind said him to kill him off. Blake is Lyra’s first love and she loved him too much, so Demir wanted to end that snake’s life then and there.

But the remaining bit of his rationality urged him to leave that place. His sunshine’s crying face came to his mind and that made him give up on killing Blake. It was fine for him to suffer as long as she is happy.

Soon he reached the forest and his negative thoughts went haywire. Images of Lyra resenting him for killing her other mates, and her telling him to get away from her life made him desperate. He never felt so vulnerable, he was an immortal scorpion beastman but in his beloved’s matters, he grew weak.

Demir was not complaining. He was fine even if he looked pathetic in front of others. He cared about her and only her. ’His sunshine’ She came into his life like a bundle of happiness but also his weakness.

Their first meeting was also when his poison acted up. She was the most beautiful being he had ever seen. Her beautiful blue eyes glistened with worry as she looked at him that day.

It was the first time for him to control his poison in such a short time. Demir knew that it was because of her presence, her mere presence saved him that day....but now she was leaving him.

He got up from the ground and leaned against the tree. The images got worse the more he thought about her.

"Stop it!" He groaned in frustration.

"Are you alright?" A masculine voice brought him out of his thoughts.

Demir furrowed his brows at the man in front of him, "What are you doing here?"

Blake frowned, "I should be the one asking you that. I saw you passing through the snake tribe a while ago, why are you here all alone?"

Demir clenched his fists trying to control his impulse, "Blake please leave this place" he could feel his emotions going haywire. At this rate, he would hurt Blake and his sunshine would really hate him.

Blake looked at him in confusion, "What’s wrong with you Demir?" Then something flashed in his mind, "Is your poison acting up? Then I can help you, my venom will neutralize your poison until you control it"

Demir didn’t know how to explain himself, "Just leave me alone" he yelled

Blake was shocked by his sudden outburst. Then he started to feel irritated, "Well suit yourself you, arrogant bastard"

He turned around and started walking out of that place until he heard a loud wail from Demir. Blake turned and widened his eyes.

Demir was now in his beast form, an enormous black scorpion. He lifted his front pincers and attacked Blake.

Blake was caught off guard and received a large slash on his stomach. Crimson blood streamed out of his injury making him wince in pain. He pressed his palm on the bleeding wound and glanced at Demir, "What is wrong with you!?"

His query was unanswered as Demir once again attacked Blake but this time he was fast to avoid it.

Blake contemplated turning into his beast form but soon thought that was a wrong move. Two immortal beastmen fighting each other will inevitably damage the surroundings and the snake tribe was near the forset they were currently in.

"Demir stop it!" He tried to talk but Demir was constantly attacking him.

Blake still thought of this as the side of Demir’s poison acting up. He thought that he would calm down on his own after some time but the black scorpion got more and more agitated as time passed.

Then he glanced at the open wound on his stomach, "Damn it!"

He would have already healed if not for an immortal beastman like Demir injuring him. His snake form would heal soon but now that was also not an option because he didn’t want to fight Demir.

Hence, Blake hid behind some trees and saw as Demir toppled down trees near him due to his agitation.
