Beauty in the beast world
Chapter 125: Where are they?

Chapter 125: Where are they?

"My lord?" The aide’s eyes were filled with fear as soon as he entered the darkness of the cave. His wolf eyes could perfectly see the insides of the dark cave but that is what made him more nervous. He could see those purple eyes staring right back at him.

That amethyst eyes of his lord were filled with maliciousness. Darkness danced in the depths of them which made him want to bolt out of this place, but it was easier said than done, he knew that he would be torn apart the moment he turned his back.

Lord Kaizer, viciously known as the dark lord hated weak beings. So the aide had no choice but to look into his eyes and report the word that he received from King Alexander, "His Majesty requested you to not go into the battlefield my lord" he gritted his teeth and continued, "He said that an immortal beastmen like you are prohibited from interfering into conflicts inside the beast city"

Following his words, a sardonic chuckle resounded inside the cave, "Do you think I care about those rules?" he clicked his tongue, "You know me better than anyone else Tyler.....I DON’T LISTEN TO OTHERS" he said emphasizing every word so that it could get inside people’s head who assumed that he could be controlled.

Tyler lowered his gaze not daring to look into Kaizer’s fierce eyes, "Why all of sudden my lord?" he asked, His lord was never the one to interfere in the tribe’s matters because first of all, he didn’t care about others. Born a rootless beast, he was disdained by the tribesmen but not enough to keep him out of the tribe, because they just couldn’t. Their heads would snap before they could even make such a remark in front of lord Kaizer.

Kaizer smirked at his question, "Because I’m bored?"

"Pardon me?"

"Or is it because I just want to see blood?" he asked making Tyler flinch, then he laughed, "Oh I know why! It’s because I can no longer control my blood lust. I want to vent out or I will just kill beastmen here in black wolf tribe"

Tyler felt like banging his own head on the cave walls. What? He wanted to participate in the battle because he was bored and wanted to vent his frustration? Their tribe could end today in the battle if anything went wrong and here he was pacifying this crazy bastard. Why were strong beastmen always like this? Impulsive, crazy, erratic, irrational, and everything terrible.

He took a deep breath and said, "His majesty the king will not permit it, my lord" he at least had to try, otherwise king Alexander would have his head for not doing his job properly.

"I don’t care" came an answer which made Tyler dumbfounded, "I will participate in the battle no matter what"

"My lord...." he tried to talk but something clutched his throat making it difficult for him to breathe. He struggled to remove the shadow-like creature holding his hand and looked at Kaizer with pleading eyes, "For-forgive me, my lord"

Kaizer just observed his shadow creature gripping Tyler’s throat with indifference, "The next time you go against me is the day you die"

Tyler nodded and in an instant, his throat was released from the shadow’s grip. He looked up as Kaizer spoke, "I will be leaving for the battle tonight. Got it?"

"Yes my lord" he answered not daring to oppose any further.

"Good," remarked Kaizer. It was always like this, weak beings like them didn’t know their place and acted all mighty to just get killed by his hands. He hated weaklings like this, not powerful enough to defend themselves, always hiding behind others, Kaizer was disgusted by them. He was not weak, so he didn’t like the ones who were weak.

He closed his eyes and shifted into a beastman. It was so long ago that he changed, Ink blue hair which almost looked black in dark. Amethyst eyes glowed like that of precious jewels.

Tyler was once again stunned but not because of fear. He was too surprised looking at his lord’s handsome face for the first time. Chiseled jaw which was raised in arrogance, tanned skin glistening because of moonlight, A build that could make one run in fear. He was perfect, too bad he was born rootless.

Kaizer walked out of the cave leaving Tyler behind. He noticed the warriors getting ready to go for battle as soon he exited the cave. He didn’t want to get noticed, so he diminished his aura and blended in between the fighters.

King Alexander turned back and looked at his warriors with narrowed eyes. Something is wrong, he could feel it but pushed it into the back of his mind to not distract himself.

Meanwhile, inside the rose castle, Lyra was searching for her little ones. They were by her side all day but suddenly disappeared. It was also their dinner time, so she was searching for them.

After not finding them for almost an hour, she went into Blake’s room.

Blake was lying in his bed when she entered inside. His mood instantly got better after seeing his beloved’s face. He was still thinking about tonight’s battle and was in a bad mood until Lyra came. He got up and dragged her to his bed and started kissing her face.

Lyra giggled and put her palm against his lips, "Aren’t you going to ask me why I’m here?"

"Later..." he said kissing her palm.

She sighed, "At least hear me out"

Blake pouted, "Alright, what is it?"

"Do you know where are babies?" she asked with a frown, "They were with me all day but now I can’t find them anywhere inside the castle"

Blake’s face turned dark as soon as he heard her words, "They are not inside the castle? Did you search everywhere properly?"

She nodded, "I looked everywhere but couldn’t find them. It is their dinner time...Where are they?" then she smiled, "Maybe they went to the snake tribe, I’m sure Peter would have given them something to eat"

Blood drained from his face leaving him pale. Lyra noticed his countenance, "Are you alright?"

He nodded and got up from his place, "I will bring the little ones back"

"It’s fine Blake, they like spending time with Peter"

"Peter is busy today..." he said vaguely because he had no intention to let her know about the battle, and how there was a possibility of their babies fighting right now. He blamed himself for not being thorough, he knew about his sons’ stubbornness more than anyone but he neglected it.

Lyra frowned, "Oh...Then go and bring them back"

Blake forced a smile on his face and left after kissing her forehead. He would make sure to lock those little rogues after today.

He turned to his beast form to reach the snake tribe as soon as possible. After an hour, he finally reached the entrance, and his heart sank when he heard battle cries. He was late! Blake stealthily headed towards the battle and the scene that he saw there made his anger rise.
