Chapter 126: Rootless beast

Kaizer moved together with the other wolf warriors and finally reached the snake tribe after marching for some time. He smirked when he noticed the other tribe’s beastmen already defending the entrance, "It is going to be fun" he muttered to himself and quietly left his place. He wanted to observe first and then attack someone strong.

Peter on the other side of the battlefield nodded his head, and soon his warriors turned into their beast forms and scurried towards the opponents.

The black wolf king too turned and stepped towards Peter who he presumed was the one leading the battle on the other side. Peter too turned and struck the wolf king with his tail. Both of them were five marked beastman, so they soon got separated from the others and started dueling.

Alexander avoided Peter’s tail the second time and made sure to claw his body. ’Sssss’ Peter hissed and opened his mouth to end this fight with his venomous bite but got distracted when he saw small black figures darting inside the battlefield. The wolf king took advantage of his momentary distraction and bit his waist making Peter hiss in pain.

Peter turned around and coiled his tail around the wolf’s waist and slammed him against a huge boulder.

The boulder was reduced to pieces because of the impact. As the wolf king was still struggling on the ground, Peter took this chance and entered the battlefield, and as expected, his young masters were fighting against the opponents. They split themselves into groups and attacked the wolf with their venomous fangs. Due to their small stature, the opponents were not able to discern them properly which worked to their advantage for them to sink their fangs and kill the black wolves.

Peter observed them with an admiration gaze. ’They were just like their father’ But his thoughts came to halt when he sensed a hostile presence behind him. He turned around and found a beastman with purple eyes staring back at him. He reeked of a dangerous aura that made even him a five-marked beastman shiver in his place. ’An immortal beastman!’ he could guess that much by looking at the stranger.

"What is an immortal beastman doing inside a battle filed?" he asked after gaining his composure, "This is against the rule....." his next words died in his throat as he was slammed against the ground.

Kaizer used his shadow creature to hit the snake beastman in front of him. He was irked when he mentioned the so-called ’Rules’ How dare these pests to question his decision?

Then he went near Peter and grabbed the snake’s head with his bare hands. Peter was coughing blood as Kaizer increased the pressure on him. He turned into his beastman form to escape as a last resort. But Kaizer had other ideas as he banged Peter’s body on the ground and twisted his hand.

"Ahhhh!" Peter screamed in agony as he felt his bone breaking in his arms. Kaizer then reached for the other hand but halted when something bit his legs.

Peter was bracing himself for the upcoming pain but opened his eyes when the opponent left his hand. He managed to catch a glimpse of the situation and what he saw made his blood drain from his face, "No.....young masters" His young masters were coiled around the stranger’s legs and were fiercely biting him. He also observed how the opponent looked flustered because he was not able to concentrate on all eight of them at once.

The little snakes communicated with themselves and decided to use the strategy that their daddy taught ’Distract and attack’. Four of them coiled around each of Kaizer’s legs and bit him, while the other four prevented him from removing their brothers from his legs by moving around him.

"What the..." Kaizer was speechless. He was still confused about the reason for snakelings to be on the battlefield but soon guessed that they were also breaking the rules just like him and that alone made him like these fierce little ones. He stood still and let them bite him to his heart’s content, anyhow their poison would do nothing to him but he was in for a shock when he felt his legs going numb after a few minutes.

He sensed a high level of venom inside his system and that made him smirk. He now knew that their father must be someone formidable for them to have this level of toxicity at such a young age. He stretched his hand and caught one and started observing the little black snake with blue eyes glaring at him. Kaizer instantly liked the color of its eyes, he wanted to gouge it out and keep it with him. He was going to do just that but something coiled around his waist and that made him release the little snake.

Blake was seething when he saw his little one being handled like that. They were his precious little ones, no one would stay alive after touching them. He coiled his tail around the opponent’s waist and his little ones scurried towards him when they sensed his presence.

Kaizer tried to free himself from the hold but it seemed impossible. He looked up and saw a giant black snake with emerald green eyes staring back at him with animosity. He also sensed a higher level of beast pressure from the snake and realized that those little snakes were this snake’s offspring.

Blake on another side glanced at Peter and the latter got up from the ground after struggling a bit. Then he picked up his young masters and looked at Blake as he said, "Get them back to the rose castle safely"

"Yes, your majesty" he answered and was ready to leave but halted when he sensed the little ones struggling to get out of his hands.

’Ssssss’ they did not want to leave their dad alone in this dangerous situation. The opponent was strong and they were worried for their dad.

Blake glanced at them and his eyes mellowed, "I’ll be alright" he said reassuringly, "Do you trust dad?"

’Sssss’ ’We trust dad!’ they replied in unison which made him smile, "Then go and wait for me to return, Your mama was looking for you guys everywhere and was worried"

They felt sad for worrying their mama, so they decided to return with Peter.

Only after their exit from the snake tribe did Blake return his gaze to his opponent who was still struggling to get out of his hold. He realized that the other beastman was immortal and frowned. Their fight might destroy his entire tribe worst even the entire beast city, "What is someone like you doing here?"

Kaizer gritted his teeth and used his claws to remove the snake’s grip around him but surprisingly, Blake released his hold and said, "Our fight will only hurt both sides, Let us retreat and let others continue the battle"

"And why should I listen to you!?" Kaizer retorted.

Blake sighed, "Then do you want to put both sides at a disadvantage? Our men will lose their life if we fight" he tried to reason with this arrogant beastman in front of him. He was worried for his tribesmen still fighting in the battle, also many females and snakelings were in the inner parts of the tribe, and they could get in danger if this continued.

Kaizer snorted, "They are not my tribesmen!"

Blake was confused, the one in front of him was clearly from the black wolf tribe. Then when he started observing properly something flashed in his mind, "A rootless beast?"

Kaizer’s face turned dark upon hearing those words. That was his sore spot, being a rootless beastman. His father was born a rootless beast and his mother fell in love with him. Amidst the backlash from their tribe, they still got together and Kaizer was born. He could not mark any female as his or have a family to himself.

Blake soon realized that he said that aloud and sighed, "Just leave..."

"Don’t you dare!" bellowed Kaizer, "Don’t you dare pity me you savage beastman!"

"What?"

"How dare someone like you who is hated by your female pity me? I’m better than you, At least I don’t force a female to remain with me like you" Kaizer said with disdain. How dare this cold-blooded beastman act all high and mighty?

Blake blinked his eyes dazed. He tried to control it but a burst of throaty laughter still left his mouth. It was so funny...
