She turned to him and smiled faintly, "Did you just return?"

"Hmm," he answered and stepped towards her, "I was overseeing some tribe matters with my father"

She nodded and returned to add some vegetables to the stone bowl, "Is everything alright in the tribe?"

"Everything’s good" he replied as he hugged her from behind, "After the mess in eagle tribe, father and Lion King are searching for the eagle king all over the beast city" she paused her actions as he continued, "Mother was also furious about your abduction and wanted to punish the eagle king for his deed"

"What about you guys? Aren’t you all too searching for him?" she asked carefully making sure to find more information. Lyra was glad that Kyrell was not caught, well it was not like someone could catch someone as powerful as him. He was not only physically strong but wielded some mystic powers. She was scared about either Kyrell or others getting hurt while fighting him.

Lucas didn’t think much about her question and answered, "Killian and Demir are searching together, while I and Noah are taking our tribes’ help, but I don’t know about Blake and Victor"

She frowned, "Killian and Demir are working together?"

He laughed at that, "I too was surprised at the beginning, but they surprisingly are helping each other in finding the Eagle king".

Lyra raised her brows, Killian doing this surprised her. That guy hated everyone and everything besides her, the reason for him to work together with her father while finding her mother was also to make Lyra happy. Then something flashed in her mind, "Where are mother and father? I haven’t seen them all day"

Lucas obviously flinched at her question, "They went out somewhere together"

She turned around wearing a worried face, "Isn’t it risky for them to go out?"

"They said that it was something important" he blurted out the first thing that came to his mind but it still failed to make her relax.

Lucas cupped her face and forced a smile, "They will return soon, Please don’t worry too much" he didn’t want to put more to her worry after that poison incident. He knew that it would make his mate guilty and furious about herself for pushing her mother into such a situation.

Lyra’s eyes dimmed, having no other choice, she decided to wait for her parents to return safely. Her soup on the stove was completely forgotten but Lucas noticed it in time and removed the stone crate from the fire.

He put the soup inside a bowl and started feeding her with a wooden spoon, even though she refused it in the beginning, she ultimately had to eat for her baby’s sake.

After eating the food, she climbed the stone stairs and reached her room. Slumping on the bed, she couldn’t help but worry about her parents.

As she was lost in her thoughts, some golden light flashed on the balcony. Following that, a figure stepped into the room towards the bed.

Lyra snapped opened her eyes when she felt someone’s eye on her. She started manifesting her powers on her hands but stopped after looking at the handsome intruder in her room, "Kyrell?"
