Blake was sitting on the stone chair inside his room and was listening to Peter as he reported some suspicious movements around the snake tribe, "At the beginning, the patrolling guards tried to ignore those movements thinking that it was not a big deal" his eyes narrowed as he continued, "But after realizing that they were beastmen from black wolf tribe, they decided to inform me"

Blake tapped on the table, "They will try to target our weakest point in the battle, so move the females and snakelings to somewhere safe"

Peter raised his brows, "Are we really going to battle them, your majesty? Aren’t battles prohibited inside the beast city?"

He nodded, "It is indeed prohibited but that does not mean that we can’t defend ourselves if attacked. Unnecessary fights are frowned upon and the ones to cause that might get thrown out of the beast city"

"So you are planning on reporting them?"

Blake smiled, "I’ll inform Noah and Lucas about this. The lion and silver wolf tribe will not stay still watching the city’s peace disrupted. They will definitely pressure other kings to banish the black wolf tribe"

Peter got up from his seat after discussing everything important, "Will you also take part in this battle, your majesty?"

Blake shook his head, as he too got up, "Too much damage will occur if I step in the battle" His words were true, immortal beastman fighting against ordinary would result in havoc. He was also worried about his bloodlust going haywire and didn’t want to risk his tribesmen into misfortune, "You are enough to kill off that black wolf tribe’s king, he is at the same level as you but his battle powers are not on par with you" then he smirked and added, "And he is old"

"I understand your majesty" Peter replied and started walking out but Blake stopped him, "Don’t mention this battle to your young masters, they are impulsive and will want to participate"

"They are strong though....." Peter started but stopped after receiving a glare from his king, "They are still small and I don’t want them in there when I’m not watching"

He knew about his little ones. They were strong but too arrogant and didn’t care about the danger before getting into it. He was the one to blame because they knew that their father would certainly help them if something goes wrong.

Peter observed his king’s face and couldn’t help my smile. The great snake king was troubled because of those little ones, Peter always felt bad seeing his king alone and isolated in the past, but everything changed once the Queen entered the picture. This made him think about getting a female for himself and starting a family.

"I’ll keep young masters away from this information your majesty," he said making Blake sigh a relief.

After that, Peter returned to the snake tribe to prepare for the upcoming battle. While Blake came out of his room and saw Victor in front of him.

Victor narrowed his eyes, "Is the snake tribe going into battle?"

"We are just trying to protect our tribe from intruders," Blake said walking past him.

"Do you need any help?"

Blake shook his head, "I’ll deal with it on my own"

"Who are the ones attacking?" Victor asked taking a seat opposite Blake.

"Black wolf tribe" he answered nonchalantly as he leaned against the chair.

Victor frowned, "I heard that they are quite formidable. Don’t dismiss them so easily"

Blake clicked his tongue, "What do you want me to do? Retaliating is the only solution now"

"We can stop this by informing Lucas and Noah’s father. They will talk to the black wolf tribe’s king"

"I’ll talk to them but after the battle is finished," Blake said not heeding his suggestion.

"Blake...." Victor wanted to say something but Blake just got up from the seat and glared at him, "I hate it when someone enters my issues. You have your own tribe, so take care of them instead of lecturing me"

"Fine!" Victor exclaimed, "Do whatever you want" he said as he walked out of that place.

Blake just looked at his retreating back and went to see his mate.
