Chapter 115: Revealing everything

"Iria!" Theodore exclaimed as she disappeared with Gregory, "No..."

He felt anger rising in his mind, but that was directed at himself for being so worthless. His mate decided to leave him because she wanted to keep him and Lyra safe.

"I will find them and bring your mate back," Killian said seeing Theodore’s crestfallen face.

But he just smiled sadly, Theodore was grateful for everything Killian had done until now and didn’t want to implicate him any further. Also, he didn’t want to restrain his mate anymore with his selfishness like in the past. Iria’s eyes clearly said him to stay put for some time and he would do that and wait for her to return.

He turned around and went inside the castle leaving Killian confused. But Killian didn’t want to think so much about others while his mate was in pain and returned to Lyra’s side.

Demir was currently testing the antidote given by Gregory. After examining it thoroughly, he handed the veil to Blake, "It’s safe"

Blake instantly believed him because Demir was well versed in toxins and poisons. He sometimes even saw him experimenting with different poisons and antidotes so he opened the veil and carefully put it near Lyra’s lips, "Drink this Lilly"

Even in pain, she looked at him with puzzled eyes. Blake understood her suspicion and reassured her by saying, "It is an antidote" she still shook her head feeling skeptical, "Don’t you trust me?"

Only after that did she part her lips and gulped down the purple-colored liquid. It was slightly bitter and left her mouth with an unpleasant feeling but it worked miraculously as in the next few minutes, her stomach pain eased, and her eyes became drowsy making her slump against Blake’s shoulder.

He gently held her head and laid her down on the bed. Then asked the witch master to check her condition and the latter complied.

She continued to sleep peacefully while the witch master took her wrist and started examining her pulse. A small smile made its way on his face after some time and he looked at the anxious males inside the room, "Both my lady and the fetus are safe"

All of them released a sigh of relief hearing his words.

Lucas looked at the old witch master, "Thank you for helping us out"

"It’s my duty, your highness" replied the old man humbly, "Make sure that my lady rests well and eats well"

Lucas nodded and took him out of the room exiting the castle.

Blake’s eyes softened looking at his mate’s sleeping face. He bent down and pecked her lips and walked towards the door but Victor’s voice stopped him, "Where are you going?"

"To the snake tribe," he replied, "I miss my sons"

Victor cringed at Blake’s affectionate words as he watched him leave the room. Then he knelt beside Lyra and clasped her hands. Hah! he could finally breathe. After her abduction, he felt anxious and afraid not knowing her situation. Then to make it worse, he found out that the one who abducted her was someone so powerful, wait! Something flashed in his mind.

"How did my sweet girl return?"

Killian who was gazing at Lyra’s face replied, "Kenna brought her back"

"How.....?" Victor frowned in confusion and glanced at Demir who was equally confused. Was Kenna able to win against the eagle king without Killian by its side? They doubted it. Either the eagle king didn’t fight or he might have not been present during that time.

"What’s wrong?" Killian asked seeing their skeptical face.

Victor turned to him and said, "We found out that the new eagle king was the one who kidnapped Lyra. I gave him a chase but ended up trapped in the wilderness, he can also wield powers like you, so we could not understand how Kenna managed to bring my sweet girl back"

Killian raised his brows, "So he and Gregory worked together?"

"That must be the case," said Demir, "That annoying merman wouldn’t be able to pull such tricks without someone’s help"

"But what would eagle king gain by capturing Lyra?" Killian asked.

Victor stared at Lyra’s beautiful face and replied, "I think he fell for my sweet girl"

"What!?" both Demir and Killian exclaimed at the same time.

Victor continued to gaze at his beloved’s face and said, "I’m certain with the way he glared at me with resentment and jealousy. I too looked at Blake with a similar gaze in the past, the look where you just want to tear apart your love rival and get your beloved all to yourself"

Demir and Killian were unable to refute his words because they too had and will always have such thoughts. As for Demir, he was burning with jealousy whenever Lyra showed others affection, and Killian always felt like it was unfair for him to share his soulmate with others just because of that wretched prophecy.

Now that he thought about the Prophecy, Killian recalled Gregory’s words and decided to share with them, "I forgot to tell you guys something important"

"What is it?" Demir asked taking a chair next to the bed.

Killian looked at both of them seriously and started telling about the possibility of there being a blunder in prophecy, "When Gregory saw me for the first time in Wayland forest, he was confused. His look implied that he did not expect me to be one of Lyra’s mates and my doubt was cleared when he said that I took someone else’s place. He was very certain as though he knew who the other beastman is"

"So the one he mentioned is the eagle king?" Victor was able to deduce this after hearing his words.

"Maybe or Maybe not" but Demir thought otherwise because that annoying merman was quite crafty with his words and might have said that to irritate Killian in that situation where he lost his female or it might be really true and even Gregory himself might have not realized his slip of the tongue in the heat of the moment. Anything was possible and Demir still thought back to Darcio’s words a few days ago.

"Darcio also said something similar just a few days ago. I was not able to get further into it because of Lyra going missing"

"What did he say?" Victor asked curiously and Killian too looked at him with query.

Demir tapped the stone chair and answered, "He said that some aspects of the prophecy are false and someone is deliberately leading my sunshine towards danger. He said that he wanted more time to untangle everything before revealing and I have never seen Darcio so disturbed and nervous like that"

Then it must be something critical! All of them had the same thing in their minds. Demir got up from his seat and looked at them, "I’m going to meet Darcio now, want to come?"

Killian was reluctant to leave Lyra’s side but looking at Victor’s stubborn look implying that he was not leaving at any cost made him sigh, "I’ll come with you"

Demir nodded and stepped towards Lyra’s side and shoved Victor away before pecking Lyra’s lips. Victor glared at him but he chose to ignore him and left the room.

Killian too bent down and kissed Lyra’s cheek and lips before going out. But he halted his steps and created a barrier around the castle just to be on the safer side.

Both reached the scorpion tribe in no time and directly went towards Darcio’s chamber. A familiar cave-like space greeted them as they stepped inside.

"Darcio?"

Hearing his voice, a huge black scorpion stirred awake and turned into a beastman, "Master?" he then noticed Killian and bowed, "Greetings my lord"

Killian acknowledged his greeting and took a seat right next to Demir’s. Darcio too sat on his stone chair and listened to their words with a frown, "So you think that one that merman mentioned is Eagle king?"

Two of them nodded and Darcio smirked, "Your guess is accurate, the new eagle king indeed is one of my lady’s male according to the prophecy"
