Beast Alpha and His Cursed Luna -
Chapter 95: Plan on spying.
Chapter 95: Plan on spying.
VALENCIA’S POV
I walked inside the class, feeling groggy because I couldn’t have my beauty sleep as my entire weekend was spent training Happy little things.
I thought he was well trained but there were so many things that he needed to learn.
’Yeah, like stealing food from others for you, right?’ Aurora asked, and I grinned at her.
Well, it was a major part of the job since he was living with me, no?
As soon as I sat in my seat, I furrowed my brows when I saw four guys dressed like they worked in a band out of the blue.
"What’s going on?" I asked Harry, who shrugged his shoulders.
I was about to pull out my earphones from my backpack and sleep till the professor showed up when I heard his familiar voice.
"Do you remember when I grabbed your hand and called you mine?
Do you remember the time we ran through those vineyards and those mustard flowers?
There was a smile on your face that swept me off my feet," he sang.
My pupils dilated as the memories started to cloud my head and everyone in the class looked at me as if they already knew the guy was singing this song for me.
"Just give me one more chance. I want you to know that you have been the only one, and I need you, beautiful. And I know sorry ain’t enough, but it was just jealousy, I promise. Forgive me for my immaturity, oh baby, please don’t push me away.
I love you the most. Let me by your side. You are always in my heart. Don’t take this away, your friendship means the world to me," Aiden sang before he blinked back his tears.
I felt tears stinging my eyes, and I looked away at his thoughtfulness.
"What’s going on?" Angela whispered to me, and I shook my head at her.
Aiden sighed before he clicked his hands and I saw how the tone of the song changed and he took the guitar from the boy who was playing it earlier.
"It’s because you said the guys who know how to play the guitar are hot," Aiden said to me before he started playing the Guitar.
It was the most basic tone I have heard someone play, and I could see the sweat beads on his forehead, telling me just how nervous he was to be doing this in front of everyone.
"Did he do something wrong?" Angela asked me as I smirked at the guy before thinking it was more than enough and he tried good enough.
Honestly, I don’t really give anyone second chances until that person is really close to my heart, and I wasn’t really angry with him to begin with.
Thus, I stood from my place and walked to the podium.
"That’s enough. You don’t need to apologize anymore. I am not angry with you," I said to Aiden.
He smiled. A relaxed smile, the relief in his eyes making me smile in return.
Was he really that worried about this? I shook my head and was about to turn around when that one person came who thinks every problem in this University starts with the person whose name starts with V.
"Valencia, you brat. What are you doing now?" The dean stood at the entrance of the class, and I sighed.
"Creating the mood for healthy studying," I grinned shamelessly.
"You! I swear you are the reason for my increasing Blood pressure," The dean said, and I chuckled while the boys started to leave.
"I asked them to do so," The cold voice reverberated again, and I froze in my place, my smile faltering immediately.
After that night, I didn’t see him for the last two days, well one and a half days.
I was under the impression that he was probably busy with his work and wouldn’t bother with me anymore since I knew the truth about him. I also thought he would stop coming to the University, but I guess I was wrong.
I scowled at him and turned around, ready to leave when his words stopped me.
"Miss Valencia, please distribute these sheets in the class," He said, his tone completely professional, and I nodded since the dean was standing too.
Shadow, I mean, Alpha Maverick came to stand near the podium, his hand brushing against mine as he walked beside me. I looked up at him to see if it was a deliberate action, but his nonchalance made me realize it was accidental and I did as I was told.
"These sheets will decide your internal marks for this course and also the top twenty students would be allowed on a 3-day cruise trip before the exams. Interested students can come. So be careful with how you complete this assignment," Maverick said, and I looked at him, surprised.
I knew the Alpha of the Dark Callisto Pack was rich. Heck, they were known as the people who probably sleep on those green bills because of how rich they are, but I didn’t know he would throw his money away like this.
Then again, what does it have to do with me? I wouldn’t even come in the top forty students, let alone the top twenty because my credits were already low.
I went back to my seat after distributing the papers and the lecture started.
Unlike the usual times, Maverick didn’t look at me. The entire lecture went normally with Aiden passing me notes about how he wanted to take me to the street fighting club tonight.
’I won’t be able to do it,’ I wrote back, remembering the warning from the doctor. Not to mention I lost quite a good amount of blood two days ago and transformed despite the doctor saying no.
However, that wasn’t the only reason I wanted to stay back.
The chances of the rogues to venture out at night to look for me were even more than before.
That was the reason, I had to leave my lake house and was currently renting an apartment with Carl in the city.
It was a sudden decision that was made by none other than the council head, and I couldn’t deny him.
I also needed to start preparing for my mission here.
I tried to sneak into the Dark Callisto Packast night. I won’t lie, I tried to look for the loopholes to enter the pack in my human form so that I wouldn’t have to risk my transformation all the time and I was this close to finally finding a path when the patrol border came out of the blue and I had to change routes.
The pack lived up to its name.
The security was really tight. But then again, there was no lock this Valencia hadn’t been able to find the key for.
I sighed and slipped the note towards Aiden, feeling a cold look on my side profile, and my gaze finally met with Maverick’s cold hazel ones.
He was glaring at me, and I glared back at him.
You said you like me. Let me use that affection against you, Alpha Maverick. I smirked inwardly.
You will never be able to find what hit you and how it hit you. I smiled back at the alpha before averting my gaze.
