Chapter 74: Bows and Arrows

Chapter 74: Bows and Arrows

THIRD PERSON’S POV

"This man, this man not only tried to take away my dignity, he... He tried to kill my baby... My baby!" The lady shouted before she took the dagger from Valencia’s hand and bent on her knees.

"No! No! No! Please, I am sorr-mmmm!’ Samuel’s eyes widened when he saw what was happening to him and how he lost his voice because of the silver injected in the wolfsbane.

"Mmmm!" He tried to scream in horror when the lady unzipped his pants and Valencia looked away, taking a deep shaky breath as the punch to her abdomen from earlier indeed took a toll on her body.

She wouldn’t be surprised if she heard about some burst muscles during the checkup, not to mention the smell of blood that was taking a toll on her wolf, who was holding back into her mind space as if holding some kind of invisible threads.

"Aaaaaa!!! Mmmmmm!" The painful sound of the alpha’s son echoed in the guest house, and the soldiers who were ready to attack the house immediately rushed in.

The lady fell back on her feet as soon as she heard the sound of so many people running inside the house.

Valencia gulped before turning around, not daring to look at the cut organ that was lying on the side of the room.

The lady was decent enough to close his zip, then again, the man who was writhing in pain and with blood all over the ground, it wouldn’t have made any difference.

Valencia also heard the sound, and she walked to the so-called alpha’s son before casually grabbing a fistful of his hair and forcing him to stand while he was trembling in pain and crying in agony.

As soon as the soldiers reached the entrance of the room, the first three soldiers saw what transpired inside the room and their eyes widened immediately when they saw the pregnant lady whose clothes were almost torn.

Valencia’s eyes were neutral as she looked directly into their eyes.

"I am inches away from making him blind for doing what he did. One more look at the lady’s body, and I won’t hesitate to cut his throat this time," Valencia said, and the soldiers, afraid for their future leader’s life, stepped back.

"Wrap the bedsheet around you," Valencia ordered the woman, who immediately did as she was told.

Valencia didn’t leave Samuel’s hair and pulled him all the way out of the guest house, letting him stumble along the way, where the entire pack saw what happened to their future leader.

She didn’t leave him any dignity, her dominating steps as she pulled him while walking while he followed helplessly, crying in pain, making everyone look at her with a wary expression on their faces.

To say they were horrified would be an understatement.

However, this wasn’t the first time their alpha’s son kidnapped a rogue female or just any female to rape her. This was something almost everyone knew.

There were many women in the pack who were victims of his antics but couldn’t say anything because they were afraid they would be killed or banished and turn into rogues.

Thus, when they saw the blood seeping into his pants and collecting on the place he was standing, they didn’t need to know what actually happened.

It was clear to them that their alpha’s son made a mistake again, but this time his mistake was more severe because he messed with the family of the wrong rogue, or that’s what they thought this mysterious masked girl was.

"Let’s get the lady out of here. If anyone dared to follow me, I wouldn’t waste a single second in killing Samuel. Also, I have attached the camera to my clothes, so I practically recorded everything. If you want to protect your pack’s dignity and save it from being attacked at this low point, you better watch out," Valencia sat on her bike as soon as the lady sat before she started it.

Samuel’s hand was tied to a string that was attached to the bike’s handle and as soon as Valencia started the bike, he had to run in extreme pain to protect himself with the little dignity he was left with and his life.

Valencia wasn’t that heartless either. She didn’t ride the bike at too high a speed. It was optimum enough for him to run behind her bike.

She didn’t want him to die since she had better plans for him. She wanted him to live with this pain and humiliation for what he did.

This wasn’t the first time she heard of something happening near the Black Haze pack. It was the reason, if she found a decent rogue family, she always told them against staying near such packs.

The current alpha of the pack was a really decent and reputable man. However, he was truly bestowed with a useless second son who ruined his name completely.

Samuel, though loved, was the alpha’s illegitimate son, and it made things even better for her.

As soon as they reached some distance, the man who was waiting for his wife immediately rushed forward and helped his wife out of the bike.

"Mona, I am so sorry this happened to you. Are you okay?" The man started crying as he hugged his wife.

When Valencia looked at the affection the man shared with the woman, her eyes brimmed with tears. Probably if she had been bestowed with a good mate, he would’ve protected her that day just like this man was going right now.

She blinked her eyes. There was no use thinking about the impossible. She was left alone to fend for herself in this cruel world.

"Leave this place immediately," Valencia said as the man had already booked a cab for themselves.

Their life was more important than any other thing at the moment.

"Thank you, Mam. Even after so many connections, I knew you were the only one who would dare to go inside a pack and bring my wife back. Only you would be able to do this. Thank you so much," The man fell on her knees before kissing her feet to show his utmost respect to her.

Valencia widened her eyes before quickly helping the man up.

"What are you doing? Please don’t do this. I would’ve done it even if you don’t thank me. How can I forget those days when you gave me food to eat when I was roaming the jungles after being attacked and almost taken by that pathetic rogue group? You took me in and gave me a place to hide. I will never forget your goodwill," Valencia said.

Mona stepped forward before she stood on her tip toes and kissed Valencia’s forehead.

"May all my blessings reach the moon goddess and she bestows you with a caring and loving person by your side. May she give you all strength in life. The angels protect you, the devil fears you. This is a mother’s blessing," Mona blessed Valencia, who smiled and nodded at the two of them before she transferred some money to them so they could leave and lead a good life wherever they go.

Valencia then sat back on the bike and took the man further away to some distance before she finally stopped.

"Was it fun riding, Samuel? I would’ve really played with you for a long duration if I wasn’t pressed for time," Valencia said before she eased his string and punched him straight in the abdomen with all the strength she could muster, making him crouch and fall on his knees.

"By the way, when someone asks you, who did this to you, tell them it was V. Let the name continue," Valencia said before she pushed him back a little, making him tumble down the little ditch and fall in the sewage.

Once she was done with her work, she went back to her house, not bothering to clean much, only securing her weapons under the cave where she knew no one would see them.

As soon as she returned to her house, she breathed a sigh of relief, wincing in pain with every movement because of the pain in her abdomen.

She entered the house, happy that she could save the woman from being traumatized for life.

However, what she didn’t know was that a particular man was watching her enter the house from some distance as he took a sip of the water before smirking.

At the same time, the council head, and all the alphas of the nearby area, including the Dark Callisto Pack heard of the news of what happened with the Black Haze pack, and to say they were shocked would be an understatement.

"Sir, did you hear?" The subordinate rushed inside the cabin, and Dylan looked up from his laptop.

"Heard what?" Dylan asked, confused.

"Hear about what V did this time," Jonathan walked inside the cabin before he looked at the subordinate who immediately left.

Johnathan told Dylan about everything that they heard and got informed from the alpha of the Black Haze pack and Dylan, who was sitting in his seat, looked at his father.

"So you think it has started?" Dylan asked and Jonathan looked around before taking a deep breath.

"Bows and arrows, Dylan. She entered the seventh-largest pack in the nation with a freaking pair of bows and arrows. You understand what it means?" Jonathan asked.

Dylan pressed his lips into a thin line.

"I will try to talk to Carl to limit her outdoor activities. This is not good," Dylan said and Jonathan nodded, remembering the last time he heard of something like this happening.

It was almost as if the history was repeating itself, and the thought alone made him shudder in his place.

The news spread like wildfire, but the werewolves weren’t the only people who heard of the news.

An uproar occurred in the supernatural world overnight.

While Alpha Maverick sat in his seat, a smirk playing on his lips before he chuckled, the kind of chuckle that scared all his subordinates.

"This is epic," he said, making Shadow look at Luca, as they looked at each other unsure of what this incident was suddenly making their alpha so happy.

Was it even a happy laugh in the first place?
