Beast Alpha and His Cursed Luna
Chapter 361: Accepted by the members

Chapter 361: Accepted by the members

THIRD PERSON’S POV

Valencia was feeling nervous.

The thought of meeting the pack members had unsettled her since morning when they left to go to the designated place where Jason had called her.

"Everything will be fine, Mitsuki. They’ll like you," Maverick said, squeezing her hand comfortingly. Valencia smiled in appreciation.

After reconciling with his brother the night before, Maverick had asked Alfonso if he wanted the Alpha position, but Alfonso politely declined.

In his eyes, his younger brother was doing a better job of handling the pack. With Valencia already expecting, he couldn’t bear to take on the next Alpha heir by assuming the position.

Besides, the rogue life had made it difficult for him to adapt to pack life, and he needed time to mingle with others, the pack members, and earn their trust altogether.

Maverick understood that his brother was tired from all the running and deserved a good rest, so he didn’t pressure him to change his mind. Instead, he appointed Alfonso as the chief decision-maker of their training centers, which recruit and train rogues—a much more suitable role for him since he was closer to rogues.

Honestly, Alfonso had considered leaving and joining the centers immediately because he knew reconciliation wouldn’t happen overnight and wanted to build trust slowly. However, when he heard about the curse on Valencia and the upcoming war that was supposed to occur in twenty-six days, he stopped and wanted to help them manage things.

For that reason, he even volunteered to act as a messenger who would accompany Greta to all the other species as a token of peace and to seek support in the interspecies war if it were to happen.

Everyone in the pack was genuinely happy for their Alpha and readily accepted Alfonso, which made things easier for them.

Valencia pressed her lips into a thin line as she spotted the hotel where the meeting would occur.

"Don’t worry about anything. Things will work out, okay?" Maverick assured her, holding Valencia’s hand as they exited the car and approached the hotel.

As soon as they entered, the manager approached them to ask if they wanted to book a room or if they were there for an event.

Noticing Valencia’s nervousness, Maverick took the lead and informed the manager that they were there to meet someone and asked if there was a booking under Jason’s name.

Upon hearing Jason’s name, the manager immediately led them to the hall at the back of the hotel, where all the meetings were held, leaving Valencia and Maverick a bit confused.

Could it be that everyone was already gathered inside the hall? They wondered.

When the doors to the hall opened, Valencia came face-to-face with around fifty people, chatting happily and enjoying various dishes. It looked more like a party. However, the commotion subsided as soon as she entered the hall with Maverick.

The crowd turned to look at her, and their constant stares only deepened her nervousness.

Jason, who had stepped away to take a call from Tory, who was also arriving, looked at Valencia and took a deep breath.

"Everyone, this is the person I wanted you to meet. She is our Alpha and Luna’s daughter, Valencia," Jason introduced, and Valencia could see subtle changes in everyone’s expression.

And was it just her, or did some faces look familiar to her? Like she has seen them before?

"Valencia, these are the members of the Phoenix blood pack," Jason stood among the crowd, and Valencia hummed, unsure how to approach them.

She clenched and unclenched her fists nervously.

"It includes me," Jason said after a few seconds, and the girl’s pupils dilated.

Him? Was Jason a member of the Phoenix Blood pack?

"I know it’s a bit shocking, and you might wonder why I didn’t tell you about it sooner. I wanted to tell you about it, but I wanted to see how serious you were about reconciling with the pack members. Some of the rogues in our group, as you might’ve recognized them already, were also from Pack and wanted to see how you work while supporting you at the same time," Jason explained.

Valencia understood his reason. Even though she was Luna Avantaika’s daughter, there was no guarantee that she would be a good person after all these years; thus, they were wary of revealing themselves.

The thought that, despite their wariness, they thought about her and joined her team as rogues to help her and better understand her made her smile in gratitude.

"Thank you for being so thoughtful towards me," Valencia whispered, unsure what else to say.

One of the elderly ladies walked forward and held her hand.

"Don’t thank us. We must do this for our Luna’s daughter. It should’ve been us in your place. We should’ve tried hard to find you, but we forgot all about you amidst getting familiar with different settings and making a place for ourselves in a different pack. We didn’t even know you were alive until Jason mentioned it. He told us how he met you one day and has been with you ever since," The elder said.

Valencia shook her head.

It was their inability that they couldn’t keep the pack intact.

"This is my soon-to-be husband, Alpha Maverick, from the Dark Callisto pack," Valencia held Maverick’s hand shyly, and everyone chuckled at her.

Maverick greeted everyone as the elders stepped forward to bless them.

Seeing how Valencia was becoming tired but was forcing herself to keep standing even after an hour, Maverick nodded at Jason to arrange the food.

Tory entered the hall simultaneously and immediately went to hug Valencia. However, seeing Maverick’s gaze on himself, he stopped just in time, and Valencia chuckled at his dejected face.

"It’s good to see you too, Tory," She mused, and the guy sat beside her.

"By the way, Luna Valencia, now that you have met the pack members, do you plan to create the pack again?" One of the ladies asked her, and Valencia, who was about to take another bite of her food, froze.

Creating the pack again? The thought had indeed occurred to her when she looked for them readily and hadn’t agreed to Maverick’s proposal because she was unsure if she wanted to rule the pack by his side or create her own. But the thought disappeared after she agreed to the position of the Luna of the Dark Callisto Pack.

Besides, were people even willing to leave their comfort from the packs they belonged to and join hers? It would almost mean starting a new life all over again.

Everyone looked at Valencia’s expression, waiting for her response.

"Would you guys want to if I create a separate pack? However, I won’t be able to rule it. I can only become a secondary advisor; the alpha of the pack will be someone else," Valencia stated clearly, and when she saw that people wanted to join her pack, even after that, her eyes brimmed with tears.

It felt like she was suddenly showered with so much love.

As the party continued, her mind started to get clouded with thinking about how many things she needed to do before creating a pack.

She needs to ask the council for permission, set up a place for the pack, rebuild its structure, and help build houses for the pack members. She also needs to look into security and arrange for the pack members’ arrival and shift by asking the alphas of their respective packs.

And the place? Can she use the same place that used to belong to Phoenix Blood? But that might also trigger the dark memories of the pack members. Besides, that place was burnt to its core, and performing other livelihood activities there would be hard.

’I will handle everything, baby. You just say the word,’ Maverick held Valencia’s hand to stop her mind from going haywire with all the thoughts, and the girl smiled at him.

"Tory and Jason, would you like to become the joint alphas of the pack? Since none of you have found your mates, your future kids will have equal opportunity to become the alphas."Valencia paused and continued without waiting for their replies.

"The rogues who have been with us and supported us for so long, you mentioned that if I ever created a pack, they would love to join. Can you make them join? Since they have worked better under you guys, they will easily accept you as their alphas," Valencia said after much thought.

Tory and Jason looked at each other for a while before nodding their heads, and Valencia smiled in gratitude.

"Thank you so much for making this possible," She whispered.

Tory and Jason shook their heads at her.

"It should be the other way around, Valencia. Who were we? They were just mere alpha rogues who were abandoned after the destruction of their packs. Not only did you entrust us with your army of rogues and other work, but you also provided us with a home and a living. And now you are giving us a permanent home, a position, and people who will call us their family members. It shouldn’t be you thanking us. We should thank you," Tory said.

Jason nodded his head in agreement before looking at Alpha Maverick.

"We keep burdening you with more work. But worry not, Alpha Maverick, every team member will help you rebuild the area and make this dream come true," Jason assured.

Maverick smiled before looking at the genuine happiness on Valencia’s face.

"Nothing seems to burden me when I look at her smile. I can do anything to see her smile like this daily," Maverick said before he added more food to her plate while she talked to the older ladies of the pack, listening to the stories of her mother and father.
