Chapter 351: Glacier’s death

THIRD PERSON’S POV

Mate? Aurora looked into Reaper’s eyes and finally realized all the unavoidable attraction she felt towards the man and wolf.

It made sense to her. All of it made sense to them. The way they loved each other and were madly obsessed with each other made their bond even stronger than the true mate bond. It was all because they were each other’s mates.

"You are my first true mate. Now I know why I never felt close to Cordelia or my wolf touched her. It’s because our mate has always been you. We couldn’t recognize you because you never transformed," Maverick said.

Aurora nodded at him.

That was the only reasonable explanation for why they couldn’t meet earlier. They had different mates who felt nothing for them, and their bonds turned out to be fake and painful.

It was because they were never real mate bonds, to begin with.

Maverick was about to grab Aurora’s hand and place his forehead on hers when they heard a twig snapping. Their heads turned to Glacier and his team, who had returned to check on why Ethan hadn’t returned and what was taking his rogue team so long to finish those useless pack members.

Glacier wailed in agony as the rogues turned into their wolf form to attack Reaper, who was in his beast form. His eyes were pitch black as he looked at the rogues like a grim reaper.

He started throwing rogues who were attacking him, dismembering them one by one as he growled at them, snapping their heads off as he crushed some with his paws.

No one moved from their place. Not even Aurora made a move as she looked at her mate, who was fighting for her, even when he was wounded and injured.

Reaper released growl after growl, and even though Aurora was powerful and hungry for some bloodbath, she felt tears brimming her eyes at how her mate acted so protective of her.

Seeing Glacier trying to sneak an attack on Reaper while engaging other rogues jumping on him to take him down, Aurora couldn’t stay still anymore.

She jumped towards the scene, her paws attacking Glacier in an agonizing manner. Her nails scratched Glacier’s face to the depth that his bones were visible, and another scream broke from his mouth.

He didn’t know that the more he screamed, the more Aurora felt happy.

"You wanted to kill my mate. You love playing fowl and using your rogue’s antics. Today, I will make an example out of you," Aurora said before she snapped Glacier’s head, making his dead body fall on the ground.

But that wasn’t enough for her.

She broke his jaws before bursting his eyeballs, leaving them hanging from his face before she pulled the guy to the top of the tree.

Glacier looked truly terrific, with his body hanging upside down on the branch, his jaw dislocated, and his eyes dangling like that.

The other members, who had healed a lot during this time because of their quick healing ability, paired with Axile and Theo, attacked the rest of the rogues, whose willpower had already been severely tested by the deaths of Ethan and Glacier.

Soon, the remaining rogues were killed or captured, depending on whether they chose to attack or plead for mercy.

After they dealt with the rogues, Reaper took a deep breath to calm his beast side, knowing all too well he had a mate to calm too.

He turned towards his beautiful mate, a smile etched on his lips.

"Mate," Reaper stepped ahead, giving the control back to Maverick and turning back into his human form.

Maverik stepped ahead and was about to grab Aurora’s snout when she said something that left him baffled and unable to react.

"Valencia wants to tell you something," Aurora whispered, breathing heavily.

Maverick thought she would give control back to Valencia, who would tell him whatever news they had when, to his surprise, she lost consciousness and fell on the ground with a thud.

"Valencia!"

"Luna!"

Collective shouts echoed in the area.

"Quickly! Arrange for their departure," Axile commented, and his team turned into their wolf form to use their vehicles and bring the car inside the forest to take them to the hospital.

Aurora was massive in size, and everyone had thought that Alpha Maverick would ask for their help, but to their horror, even in his wounded state, Maverick bent and picked the large wolf in his hand, throwing it over his shoulders with a loud groan.

"Alpha, let us help–" Shadow started, feeling bad for his a;pha, but the man only growled in return.

"Mine!" Alpha Maverick bellowed, and Shadow took a step instinctively.

As the car arrived, Maverick covered a few steps. He hesitated to put the wolf inside the vehicle, and seeing him acting like this, Axile immediately asked his man in the driver’s seat to exit the vehicle.

Only after the man left the car did Maverick place the large wolf inside the back of the truck.

Now, there was one more problem. They couldn’t take the wolf to the hospital because of the humans around the area, so they decided to call the doctor to the royal palace.

Maverick was barely able to hold himself together, and his stance made it clear that he wouldn’t allow any man close to his wife in her moment of unconsciousness.

After gathering much courage, Charlotte volunteered to drive the car.

"Alpha, I know you don’t trust anyone with her, but we can see she is weak. She needs your assistance. Your presence in the backside will calm her because you are her mate. You can’t drive the car like this," Charlotte reasoned. To everyone’s surprise, the man agreed and sat in the backside with Aurora.

They saw him placing her snout in his lap as he arrested her fur.

"Everything will be fine, my love," Maverick said, his mind focused on her beautiful face.

Axile asked his soldiers to deal with the remaining rogues, explain the situation to Trinity, and ask for their assistance in cleaning up on royal orders.
