VALENCIA’S POV

I couldn’t believe it.

My hand instinctively reached for my abdomen, the thought of having another life inside me both exciting and scaring me.

I was pregnant. There was a baby inside me. How big was it already? Was I straining my baby when I was training so much? What if the baby tried to communicate with me, and I couldn’t understand?

Wait. What if I screw up as a mother? With everything going on around me... no... I shouldn’t think negatively.

’Congratulations, Valencia,’ Aurora smiled at me, jumping around inside my head space on her paws, and I chuckled inwardly.

"Congratulations to you too, Aurora," Tears brimmed my eyes as a sob left my mouth.

"I will try to become the best mom. I promise you," I said to my baby, wiping the rogue tears.

I pulled out my phone to call Maverick.

I asked the doctor to let those people inside, and the trio, along with the security chief, looked at me with anticipatory eyes.

"I am fine. There is nothing to worry about," I said.

The security chief left shortly after ensuring everything with the doctor.

I had specifically asked the doctor not to reveal the good news to anyone because I wanted to do it myself.

"If everything is fine, why did you faint, Luna? This doesn’t make sense. Earlier, when you used to faint earlier, at least the doctor had a good reason for it. How can they say nothing is wrong? They are not qualified to treat you. Let’s go to a different hospital," Liam said one after the other, not even giving me the chance to explain anything to him.

I shook my head at him.

"Can you calm down? There is indeed something happening, but I want you guys to promise me not to tell Alpha Maverick. I want to be the one to tell him first," I said.

Liam looked at Lovely and Charlotte before nodding.

"But you have to promise that you will tell him today itself. We can’t hide the truth from him for long," Liam said.

I chuckled.

"I will tell him the first thing I meet him, stupid," I said.

I looked up when no one reacted. Did they not hear it?

I licked my bottom lip and was about to speak again when Liam widened his eyes and pulled me in for a hug.

"You are pregnant! Oh my god, our alpha will be a father, you will be a mother, and our pack will have an heir soon. Our alpha kid will walk around with his tiny limbs and order us around. I am so happy!" Liam hugged me tightly, his hug throwing me utterly off-guard because I didn’t expect his reaction to be this strong.

"Hey, Liam. She is our Luna," Lovely reminded him, and the guy left me awkwardly before scratching the back of his head.

"I am sorry. I was just so happy that I couldn’t contain it. Please don’t tell Alpha that I nearly squeezed you, or the protective guy will make me train harder for a week," Liam said.

I shook my head at him before looking at Lovely and Charlotte, who had beaming smiles on their faces.

They hugged me one by one while Lovely placed her hand on my abdomen.

"Baby, I am your mumma’s caretaker. Come out soon, and I will take care of you. We will have loads of fun," Lovely said, and everyone chuckled.

"We just found out she is pregnant. How can you expect the baby to come out already," Charlotte said.

I was about to stand when Charlotte quickly held my hand.

"You have got to be careful now," She said, and I felt my heart skip.

Do I need to be this careful? What about the training? Will it affect the baby? I won’t do anything that would put my baby’s life at risk, but...

Many thoughts started to swirl inside my head.

"Stop it, Charlotte. You are scaring our Luna. It’s not that severe. You just need to be cautious of your meals and take frequent rests. Don’t patrol women go into labor? You know how our Luna is. "Let’s go to the royal palace. Maverick will come there straight, no?" I asked.

I wasn’t in a hurry earlier, but now I was seriously hoping for him to complete his work soon so I could meet him and tell him this amazing news.
