Beast Alpha and His Cursed Luna -
Chapter 195: Calling her saviors
Chapter 195: Calling her saviors
THIRD PERSON’S POV
Alina looked at her hands helplessly, joining her hands to see what exactly happened.
She watched in horror as she saw Valencia struggling, barely able to save herself from Alpha Tyler.
"I will handle it from here. I couldn’t protect her earlier, but I will do it now," Alina said, immediately disappearing from her place.
She knew not to interfere in her life and events, but she had someone who could do it perfectly.
She called that one person who could help her just fine.
Valencia, who had been running for over half an hour, breathed heavily as her legs gave up. In the last five minutes, she fell on the ground seven times, standing and running again because she knew she needed to protect herself.
Aurora pitied Valencia. She could see her human counterpart was struggling. She hated it, but she hated that she was helpless against it.
She couldn’t even allow her to turn into her animal form, neither the cat nor the tigress, because that would only make things worse for her.
Aurora whimpered in pain, trying to hold the threads as tightly as possible. Her soul was starting to bleed in Valencia’s head.
Just because she couldn’t transform didn’t mean she wasn’t doing anything. She tried her best to protect and suppress Valencia’s aura from the world.
As the ancient wolf on Earth, she was the first one to feel the change in air and the darkening of the environment, and it was definitely not because it was almost night.
Something evil had been provoked and awakened; for some reason, she knew it was because of them.
She closed her eyes, the burning sensation making her feel like her brains would fry out. The heat was indeed lethal for a she-wolf. It was worse than a fever getting to your head.
Though people usually attach its significance to mating and lovemaking, it is worse if tried to control.
Not only was Valencia trying her best to control it, but she was feeling so many emotions all at once and tiring herself out with this rigorous running.
Not being able to hold it anymore, Valencia was about to turn towards the other direction, towards the river, to hide inside the water that would not only help her calm her heat but also hide her scent, but before she could do that, her body stumbled forward, and she fell face-first on the ground.
A helpless cry left her mouth when she realized she twisted her ankle. Tears flowed down her cheeks.
She was barely dressed in her undergarments and a sundress that was crumbled and barely covered her legs.
’Please help me, someone,’ Valencia cried internally. She looked around helplessly, hugging herself as dread settled in her heart.
Hearing Alpha Tyler’s animalistic growl, she shuddered in her place, and with the help of the tree, she stood.
She had no other option—this was her only choice—and she needed to keep going, even if her body was giving up and she was feeling like dying.
"Valencia, I can smell you. I know you aren’t far. What is the need to run away from your mate, baby? We can ease your pain. Why must you suffer so much?" Tyler’s smug voice came, and Valencia took a deep, shaky breath, limping towards the river.
She suddenly felt lost.
Maybe nothing like this would’ve happened if she hadn’t trusted Alpha Maverick with his team and security and had stuck to the council instead.
Heck, she would’ve been saved if she had gone to the cave she had found perfect for the purpose a few months ago.
Negativity was starting to take over, and she was about to lose hope when she heard another roar.
The roar was loud enough to ignite her heart with hope again as a whimper left her mouth.
She didn’t know if she was crying in helplessness because she wanted it to comfort her or if she was crying in happiness.
Before Tyler could take another step, he saw a jaguar, larger than an average one, standing right before him, baring its teeth at him.
Tyler narrowed his eyes at the Jaguar.
What was this? Did this animal think he could come between him and her mate? But why would this animal even think that in the first place? He was probably just angry and hungry and smelt Valencia’s blood, making him want to eat human flesh.
Tyler was ready to fight him.
When Valencia saw a glance of the Jaguar standing there, she sighed gratefully.
Alpha Tyler was strong. Despite his bullying attitude, it was an irrevocable fact, and she knew the Jaguar might get hurt if he stood there for a long time.
As she looked at the Jaguar, her pupils dilated. Why didn’t she think about it earlier?
It was almost nighttime.
"Happy!" Valencia shouted at the top of her lungs, calling her Argentavis friend, who had told her he would worship and protect her with his life.
Tyler heard her words and realized she was too close to him. This was his chance to get to her.
However, before he could move a step, the Jaguar stepped ahead, ready to fight.
Alina looked at Aiden in his jaguar form and was ready to aid him if Alpha Tyler did something to hurt him and get to Valencia.
She looked at Valencia, who called her little birdie, feeling a little sad that she wasn’t the one Valencia could think of in this situation.
Probably, even Valencia thought she was unreliable, like that man who came to remind her of her work. Then again, could she complain when she indeed failed?
Alina watched Happy soaring in the sky, spreading its wings, with his dark eyes that looked monstrous and ready to burn anyone alive because he probably smelt his Lord’s blood, too.
He immediately flew around the place where Valencia was standing before going down and stopping in front of her.
Valencia looked at her bird before she lost control of her body.
As she fell forward, ready to hit the ground, the ancient bird immediately spread its wings, letting her fall on its wings as it looked at its Lord with suppressed anger.
Happy twisted his head to look at Alpha Tyler, his eyes locking on the target he would take care of later.
He expanded his size, shifting his Lord to the center. Her burning form concerned him, so he reduced its size to enough to carry his Lord and used his magical power to create a transparent shield around himself.
The shield protects anyone from seeing his boss while he is in the sky. He flew to the sky and went straight to the mountain cliff, where he knew no one would be, but Valencia opened her eyes with great effort and asked him to take her to the cave she had found earlier.
Happy didn’t waste a single second in doing as he was told.
