Beast Alpha and His Cursed Luna
Chapter 109: Their death

Chapter 109: Their death

THIRD PERSON’S POV

"Sir, we counted all the rogues the best we could with the shredded bodies. There were only 67 of them," Logan rushed to Alpha Maverick, who was standing by the lake, with his foot on the large stone as he looked at his reflection in the clean water under the moonlight.

"What about the remaining 9 of them?" Maverick asked, his gaze stuck on the phone that he snatched from the rogue who was cunningly going to throw it in the lake.

His gaze was hard and cold, his thoughts hard to decipher as he scrolled through the messages passed between the rogue and a private number.

Though his face was expressionless, his subordinates knew not to get too close to him just in case things went wrong.

"We covered the area from all the sides, didn’t we?" Alpha Maverick asked after some time and the subordinates looked down at their feet.

It was negligence on their side. Probably if they had kept a good look, these rogues wouldn’t have run away. It wasn’t about some 2-3 rogues but 9 of them.

"Is silence your answer?" Maverick asked as he stopped at a particular message.

’What about the girl, the one with the grayish blue eyes that is hovering around that bastard? Any news about that bitch?’

It was a message from a private number.

’We are trying to look into her details. Mysteriously, we haven’t been able to snap anything about her yet. Give us some time,’ It was the reply from the rogue.

Maverick’s fists clenched around the device.

The fact that Valencia was being uselessly involved in this mess all because of him angered him and his irritation over his subordinates’ incompetency increased.

"We are sorry, sir. We will try to find details about them and catch them as soon as possible," Logan said and Maverick looked at them with a scoff, blood dripping down his clothes as he tore off his shirt and threw it on the ground.

"I will do it myself," Maverick said before tossing the phone to his man.

There was no way he was going to let the people who were targeting his woman live.

Without wasting a second, he changed into his wolf to look for those people who ran away with only one aim in mind.

Their death.

At the same time, Valencia, who reached the forest and parked her bike at the exit, looked around.

’Which direction should I take?’ She asked no one in particular as she looked around.

’My animal intuition says take left,’ Aurora told her.

Valencia hummed as she started walking in the direction casually as if she were on our for a stroll.

It wasn’t long before she heard some shuffling from the other side.

It almost looked like a few people were running towards her and her hand tightened on her weapon.

Her eyes darkened unknown to her as the scent of rogues wafted through her nostrils.

’This is your chance, Valencia,’ Aurora said, wanting to see what Valencia would be capable of if provoked.

She wanted to use this opportunity to assess Valencia’s powers too.

Valencia quickly climbed the tree to see where the rogue smell was coming from and just her luck, the rogues were running towards her.

A sarcastic sinister smile appeared on her face as her pupils dilated when she remembered this was the same group of people who were the reason behind the demise of that family.

The moon goddess was really giving her a good time to repent for her mistake and do what she couldn’t do all those months ago.

The ancestral bird who had been following her, immediately flew further up, spreading its wings as its eyes turned sinister too, ready to hurt anyone who would dare to hurt its master.

As soon as the rogues appeared under the tree, the slight movement right above them caught them off guard and Valencia jumped down in the middle of them.

The rogues immediately went into alert mode, looking at each other as they looked at the girl who was dressed like a samurai with two swords on her back, half of her face hidden by a mask.

"Who are you?" The rogues, who were in a hurry to leave, looked at the girl with scorn, not liking the interruption.

If they wanted to survive, they needed to be out of this place as soon as possible and this girl was surely going to be a hindrance from the way she was looking at them.

"Me? Just a random rogue," Valencia whispered before she smirked from behind her mask.

"Rogue? You are here to help us? The boss has sent you? But why would they send a female to help us?" The rogues started talking among themselves and Valencia smiled.

"I know, right? How insulting it would be if so many rogues were at the mercy of a female rogue, no?" Valencia asked before she smiled.

"Step back. She is not here to help us," One of the rogues said.

She tilted her head, feeling a little offended.

"Why would you say things like that? Can’t I have a little bit of fun?" She asked before the smile disappeared from her face.

"Since you guys can’t guess what I am here for, let me help you with it. I am here to do something I didn’t do all those months ago. You guys just happen to be the same group of people I was looking for," Valencia pulled out her dagger from her pocket before taking off its cover.

She touched the tip of the sharp metal, smiling as she saw a little drop of blood.

"Won’t you like to draw your weapons too?" Valencia asked and the rogues looked at her in pure anger.

They were able to trick the largest pack members. What made this bitch think she would be able to stop them? Though it didn’t look like it because she didn’t smell like them, judging from the timing or her appearance, it couldn’t be a mere coincidence. She was definitely with Alpha Maverick and his team.

"We don’t need weapons to teach a bitch like you a good lesson. It looks like you’ll become our next threat to the alpha that what he did today wasn’t good and we will return with a stronger plan. At that time, it won’t be just any random girl, it would be the females of his pack," The rogue said and Valencia smiled.

"Is that so?" She asked before she tilted her head to the other side, looking like a psycho.

"Do you even know who I am?" She asked, her question making the rogues furrow their brows.

"Who are you?" They asked and Valencia smiled.

"I am V," She whispered before she looked straight into their eyes.

The rogues looked at each other, the name finally making a shiver run down their spine.

They didn’t need anyone to tell them who the hell V was. This name was a sensation not only among the rogues but among the alphas. No one knew who this person was, where this person lived, or what he looked like.

"Do you think you will call yourself V and we will just believe it?" One of the rogues said and without wasting a second, Valencia threw the dagger at him, the dagger going straight through his throat, making the rogue immediately gulp as he choked on his own blood before falling to the ground.

The rogues looked at each other in surprise, unsure of what to do.

Why? Because after the last news about V’s recent adventure, almost everyone knew the person was quite strong and definitely a fighter or no one would really dare to go inside a pack alone with just a bow and arrow to save someone.

The news spread like wildfire and it was shameful for the pack that the pack’s rank turned from top ten to below ten all because of that.

The rogues didn’t know what to do. On one side there was Alpha Maverick and his team who were ready to kill them and on the other side, they were faced with V.

As they weighed their chances, it was obvious fighting V was still easier than standing against the strongest alpha in the world.

However, they didn’t know that they were going to meet their death either way.

Tired and wanting to go back to her precious sleep, Valencia drew her swords.

Without wasting a second, she pounced on the rogues, raising her swords as she started slicing the rogues one by one, starting her killing spree.

Her eyes started to turn light blue from her usual grayish-blue color and the onlooker angels who were watching her, looked at each other unsure.

They could see what was happening. As Valencia was killing those rogues, she was losing her sense of control too and the moment she would lose her full control she would-

The ancient bird looked at its master with wide eyes as she licked the blood from her sword, her pupils dilating at the nirvana taste.

Things were just turning bad as they heard a shuffling at some distance which was followed by a loud growl.
