Chapter 231: My Turn To Play
Chapter 231: My Turn To Play
"Great," grunted one of the men who had yet to introduce himself. The fact that he wore a happy face patch on his cut made me wonder for a moment... cause it was clear that man was not pleased. "What the fuck does this mean?"
His face twisted in scorn for a second before looking down at his food.
"You are going to go out into the big bad world," I smiled at him, but I was pretty sure my smile could cut like a knife right now. I might have altered them just enough to let those demon seeds nestled in their hearts to bloom, but they were still too human for my taste right now.
"Start shit, end shit, take a shit, I really don’t care," I continued taking another bite of the syrupy goodness on my plate. "You can’t die, but you can create a bit of havoc... right?"
I mean, they were bikers, and while I didn’t know 100% what that meant, the step stains seemed to have enjoyed a few TV shows about them. They should be good for a murder or two in the least.
"Are you serious?" asked Mad Dog as he looked at the others around him. "Start shit and end shit? What if that means getting our hands bloody, Princess? Will that offend your delicate sensibilities?"
The way the man was looking at me, he seemed to be waiting for a reaction...
Well, if he insisted.
The image of what I wanted hadn’t even fully formed yet, and already, the house was changing the layout of the kitchen. Blood started to pour from the wall, turning the light and airy room bright red.
Screams and cries of the dead started to echo around us, and there was a splat as a severed head appeared on Mad Dog’s plate.
The men around him jumped out of their seats, their hands going to where I could only assume they normally held their guns. "What the fuck?" demanded Prez as Chang Xuefeng and I continued to eat our breakfast.
One of the mutated zombies glided into the room, its eyes focused on Mad Dog as it grinned a maniacal grin. The talons at the end of its hands clicked together in a rhythm only it understood as it sliced through Prez.
The big bad biker dropped to the ground, screaming like a little bitch as he tried to push his intestines back into his stomach. The man with the smiley emoji on his vest took out the longest knife I had ever seen and crouched down low, his eyes completely focused on the threat in front of him.
Like a panther, he leaped forward; his knife held securely as he aimed for the mutated zombie’s neck. However, just as he was about to hit, the zombie shifted to the side, a bright smile on its face as it played with its food.
As Smiley was focused on the mutated zombie, he missed the killer clowns dancing into the room, their giggles giving even me goosebumps. Remembering the last time I had to face the clowns, I shuddered.
Yeah, I really, really didn’t like them.
"What the fuck!" demanded Mad Dog as he looked around, his eyes going white with fear.
With a snap of my fingers, the illusion was gone, and my kitchen was back to the bright, sunny room that it had been before. "Not much can offend my delicate sensibilities," I said, eating the last bite of my pancakes. "But it might be fun if you go out and try."
"What the fuck was that?" demanded Prez as he rose unsteadily to his feet. His hand was gripping his lower abdomen like he was expecting his innards to become outards, and I could see him trembling as he took his seat again.
"That was my reply to Mad Dog," I smiled as the house made my dirty plate disappear. "Get your hands as bloody as you want; it really doesn’t bother me what you do in my name. But please, next time you open your mouth, try to remember who I am. I understand that you are a bit stupid, but I will not accept that type of disrespect a second time. Have I made myself clear?"
"So all that was an illusion?" asked Shadow, his head cocked to the side as he studied my face.
"Yup," I nodded as I took a lollypop out of my space and stuck it in my mouth. "Want me to bring the real versions back to play with you? I mean, if you are one of those men who need to touch fire to know it’s hot, I can teach you a lesson you will never forget."
Shadow continued to stare at me, and I could see the black seed in his heart pulsing a bit as it struggled to grow. Ah, pride goeth before the fall. I wonder just how far he will fall before he understands his place in this new world.
And, thanks to the contract, it’s not directly under my foot; it’s definitely not that far off.
"We’re good," grunted Prez, his face still pale as he looked down at his plate. There was still a lot more food on it, food that shouldn’t be wasted, but he pushed it away from himself, clearly not hungry anymore. "So you really don’t have any other instructions for us?"
"No," I answered with a shake of my head. "Just do whatever you want to do, and know that you won’t die for being a prick. Well... you won’t die by anyone’s hand, but mine, but you will be safe out in the scary new world."
Prez nodded his head as he rose to his feet. A quick glance at the other guys, and they were quickly following after him.
"Are you sure that is wise?" asked Chang Xuefeng as he finished the last bite of his breakfast. "Letting them go like that?"
"I don’t want them in my house," I said, the smile on my face disappearing. "And what are they really going to do out there?"
"Maim? Kill? Destroy the rest of the world?" Chang Xuefeng mused as he looked at the door where they had just left. "And that’s just a start."
"No one seems to understand that if we truly want to build a new, better world, the old one will have to be completely destroyed," I sighed without feeling. Humans had their shot, and they fucked it up. Now, it was my turn to play.
