Chapter 125: New Jewelry

Chang Xuefeng cocked his head as he looked at me, a weird expression on his face. "I hate to break it to you, Wish Girl, but that was always my plan."

My eyes widened at his statement, but I wasn’t about to protest. Something told me that I needed to stay here for a while, and, truth be told, I was pretty sure that there was no one back home missing me. "Fine," I agreed. "No matter where I go, you can come with me."

"To the ends of the world and back, Wish Girl," chuckled the Reaver, coming to his feet. For some reason, I left like I had just walked into a trap, only I couldn’t figure out the exact nature of it.

Shrugging my shoulders, I adjusted the bows on my two pigtails. I wanted to look my best for this fight so they brought me back to the pit more often. The audience was brimming with unspoken wishes, not to mention anyone looking death in the face was bound to make a wish or two.

A throat being cleared from the other side of the cage caused me to narrow my eyes as Chang Xuefeng slid between me and the door. "What?" he demanded, his voice nothing more than a low growl.

I could see his body literally shifting until it seemed that he had packed on at least another 50 lbs of pure muscle.

"You’re not supposed to be in her cage," whispered the voice, the fear evident in it. "And you didn’t lock the door after you entered."

Shifting so that just my head was jutting out from behind Chang Xuefeng, I stared at the person on the other side. He didn’t look like a Reaver. He didn’t have the height, the build, or the gaping wounds I associated with them either.

Maybe he was human?

As if he could feel my eyes on him, he looked down to see me, his face going completely white. "Boo," I whispered, a feral grin on my face as I cocked my head to the side.

The man, absolutely terrified, fell to his ass and crab-walked away from me as if I was personally sent from Hell to destroy him.

"I am her Handler," grunted Chang Xuefeng, taking a step forward until the man’s attention was back on him. "I am the only one allowed near her because I am the only one who can’t be killed by her. I make no promises about you. So why are you here?"

"A-alpha," stuttered the human, his face going even whiter if that was possible. "F-f-f-fight."

"Then we will go now," assured my ’Handler’ with a nod of his head. "Go now and make sure that no one is around. I can’t promise that she won’t kill anyone between here and the pit."

The human... has to be human... scrambled to his feet before racing away to do Chang Xuefeng’s bidding.

"Do I want to know?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I looked at the rope in his hand.

"It’s another condition," sighed the Reaver, turning around. The weirdest part was that he looked exactly like how I remembered him to be the first time around.

"That’s weird," I muttered, my finger going in a circle as I pointed at his face. "And what’s the condition?"

"That you be leashed as we walk into the pit," admitted Chang Xuefeng. "The Alpha, the Reavers, and the humans are worried that you are going to go on a killing spree and kill everyone. Thus, the need to keep you in your cage until they figure out what to do with you."

"I’m not wearing that," I sneered, pointing to the rope. It was a coarse one, made from rough fibers that would make me itch like crazy.

"Wish Girl," sighed Chang Xuefeng. "I really don’t like the idea of you wearing it either. But you wanted to fight...." His voice trailed off as he held up the rope.

Shaking my head, I thought fast. I remembered a comic I had found in Shit Stain Number One’s room... with a clown-like girl with red and blue pigtails. She had a collar on, and I thought it looked good.

But I didn’t want ’Puddin’ written on it.

Closing my eyes, I thought about what I wanted. Within seconds, a sold item dropped lightly into my hands. Opening my eyes, I saw a choker that made my eyes go wide with delight. The black leather was on the thicker side, almost three fingers thick. Small silver studs decorated the entire band, while in the middle, a heart made from black and red crystals lay nestled.

More teardrop red and black gems lined the bottom of the collar, and I could practically feel the coldness against my skin.

"Perfect," I breathed just as Chang Xuefeng let out a low grunt. In his hand was nothing sort of a leash made from the same black leather. However, there were no crystals, gems, or studs decorating it.

Quickly, I put the collar on, feeling almost comforted by the weight of the thing. "I’ll do my own jewelry, thank you very much," I purred as I walked toward Chang Xuefeng. Looking up, I saw a look of shock on his "Reaver" face.

"And after this fight, you are going to have to tell me how you do that," I continued, unable to contain my smile. "Now, be a good Handler and put on my leash, please, and thank you."

Nodding his head, he walked around me, finding the ring where the leash was meant to be attached. I was sure that I was supposed to find this degrading, but I kind of liked the power it gave me.

After all, the only reason why I had to wear it was because the Alpha here had determined me so dangerous that I couldn’t walk anywhere on my own.

I wondered just what the Reaver would have done if he knew I could kill everyone here without even leaving my cage? Would he still sleep better knowing I was leashed?
