"Leon-san! Leon-san!"

"Stop repeating my name, its making my skin crawl."

Leon casually commented and sharply gazed at the monster. Tenji's gaze suddenly moved to Leon's fist; scraped skin, red swollen bump and blood sticking to it. The flesh had been scratched till quite deep, even muscles could be seen in it.

Leon, however, wasn't fazed one bit, even expressing that it was trifling by rubbing spit on the affected part, saying, "Alright, it's good as healed now."

"Leon-san, but your wound..."

"Shut up. And stop with that mushy voice to worry about me, it's making my skin crawl."

"C-Crawl? You also said it twice...."

"Buzz off, I don't need complaint from a brat who doesn't even know 'E' of explorer."

Tenji felt a bit overwhelmed on how to reply when strength suddenly left his body the next moment, almost ready to collapse anytime. Leon noticed the battered appearance of Tenji as well, and said with a serious expression.

The two newcomers to the battlefield were no less than Leon and Limey, a zero-grade explorers and hero of the world. It took a single glance for Tenji, who had yearned to reach the professionals, to determine their identity in a split second.

Tenji especially remembered the details of Aubraka that happened seven years ago, where he was the centrepiece of Pulla's tragedy, and his statement"---Turn me up before the tragedy can strike. Valuable is nothing, for it just rotes with me. Take a sound decision before it's too late."

There was no lack of youngsters of Tenji's age who had been charmed by his person and embarked on the path of explorer.

It must have been Leon's doing, personally gathering them despite finding such a pain in butt. I could also be Kaido's doing, and he must have pulled strings to make it happen.

The reiteration of the scene was just like that day, seven years ago, where the world's leading zero-grade explorers had gathered together.

Aubraka and Jay murmured out a sarcastic remark on the other hand.

"Who died and made you our leader, eh?"

"My words, so true. Of course, I am more fit to take the command."

Covered completely in black clothes, Aubraka harrumphed, followed by a wise-ish remark of Jay, who said while pushing the thin frame of his glasses. However it was only held true for that second as they blitz toward monsters with incredible speed.

Just then, the monster had also raised his head right in that moment to see where all this noise was coming from.

"Grrruuuu."

It placed its hand on the ground and calmly stood up, its stance holding a majesty surprisingly.

The monster simply spit out a cough of blood only after taking Leon's punch head on. It was casual when standing up. Was it the so-called transdental regeneration ability of that monster as explained by Ibuki Douji? Maybe this might be true completely, after all it withstood the attack of a zero-grade explorer as if only to tickle it.

Aubraka and Jay were slightly surprised to see that Leon's attack didn't actually do much damage.

"Interesting, it seemed quite sturdy......no, or maybe it has out-of-norm regeneration skill? I think I just saw its flesh jolting as regeneration took place."

"I spotted the same. No defence, regeneration type......the difference between us couldn't be any similar, though I could be wrong. Either way, it seemed like we can finally fight, eh. Phew, it's been so long since I last went all out. Alright, I will take the first dip---"

Jay, donning a wine red armour, said. His mild-mannered expression abruptly switched to a ferocious smile, as if he was possessed by a demon. And then howled like a mad hog.

"<Vamp Doping>!"

Jay had just shouted when blue blood vessels suddenly appeared on his fair skin, visible to everyone's eye. They bulged on his body, turning him into a hulkish giant. His nails suddenly become longer, turning his appearance akin to the 'vampires' of the fable.

This had what gotten zero-grade explorer Jay to receive two aliases. One that symbolises his tough abilities---<Immortal Jay>.

And the second one being inspired by transformed appearance---<Living Vampire>.

When Jay takes the helm on the battlefield, he transforms himself into a vampire-like existence and in that state, he is absolutely immune to injuries. As a matter of fact, no single person had ever seen him shedding blood from an opponent's attack. This mystical technique had what pushed him to the pinnacle of explorer rank, his name known throughout the world.

"S-So this is Jay, the Vampire Jay..."

At the same time, Monster's gaze was suddenly nailed to Jay, though it was a question unanswered if it was due to his ability or he was using a technique.

The monster with bloodshot eyes cared one bit and swiped its sharp claw toward Jay, who was approaching it while pushing his big shield forward.

It was a matter of seconds before the two clashed violently.

One defended, the other attacked. It was as simple as that, but the moment their offense and defense made contact, a long chime-like sound echoed through the dungeon. A blinding flash, enough to leave anyone dazzled for a bit, appeared between them.

They continued their repeated exchange of offense and defense, when the situation took a twist.

It was common knowledge that the weather inside dungeons remained static, yet, it was turning dark. The cloudless sky was suddenly replaced by black, rain clouds.

"---<Thunder Cloud>."

Aubrala made some gesture with his white wand.
