"Didn’t you hear my boss’s question?"

"Argh!!" The man fell to the ground like a pile of wet mud and groaned in pain.

The man’s rope was lowered just a little and under everyone’s eyes the shark which was happily swimming in the sea jumped up and swallowed the man in whole.

"Ahhhhh!!" Even though Jim had lost hope, when he saw a shark eating a man right in front of him, there is no way he wouldn’t be scared.

It could have been him. With the height at which the shark jumped, he finally realized that the shark just did not jump until now but if it wanted, it could have reached him all this while.

This realization hit him in the head so hard that he felt like his skull was shattered into a million pieces.

But then came the question: Why did the shark jump just to eat that man but not him?

Merlin’s assistant gave the answer even though he did not ask the question out loud, "His blood tempted the shark."

Jim blinked his eyes and looked at his body.

He was completely naked but there wasn’t a single bruise on his body. There is not a single drop of blood anywhere on his skin.

That was when he realized that Merlin had brought him and hung him in the air but no one even beat him once.

Why is that?

He looked at Merlin with the slightest hint of hope.

Merlin’s assistant’s lips twitched at his expression. He couldn’t help but sneer, "You still hold the hope to leave this ship alive?"

Jim trembled hearing his words.

Merlin took his gun from his men and raised it casually. With one hand on a skewer and the other holding a gun, he couldn’t be any more carefree with the gun.

A gunshot sounded in the middle of the sea.

Jim closed his eyes tightly and screamed.

He opened his eyes and saw that he did not get shot anywhere.

He closed his eyes and sighed in relief.

He then saw Merlin raise the gun in his hand once again.

Jim slowly seemed to understand why Merlin was doing this.

Instead of giving him physical pain, he wanted him to suffer emotionally more.

This is actually more torturing than being physically beaten up.

He shivered in the air and opened his mouth to speak, "Boss... please spare me. I understand that you will kill me. But can you please do it at once? Just kill me instead of torturing me like this, okay?"

Merlin raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? You accepted defeat just like that? I thought you would suffer for a little while more. Did I expect too much from you? I thought you would be more shameless than this."

Merlin looked at his men and said, "Release him."

Jim looked at Merlin in surprise. ’Release me? Really? Is he really releasing me?’

He heard the sound of the shark flapping around the cruise ship.
