Chapter 75: Chapter 75: The Endless Blood (03)

She and the trio soon started chopping the remaining zombies that were inside the gate, and after finishing them, they started killing all those that were outside the gate but from a safe distance. She and Chen Wei even got outside through a small space and killed a few. When they found it very difficult to hold, they came back inside.

Suddenly their sight fell on the sprawled four people on the ground, and on one of the girls who was in good condition, holding their hands, and a soft glow covered them, and soon their injuries vanished at a visible rate.

Liora and her group’s eyes widened at the sight. A healer. That was really good. Were all the people in their group awakeners? And with such terrifying abilities, none of them were less than any other.

Even the healer looked at a good level, able to heal such high-level injuries in a few seconds, which was already a big task, and she continued healing all of them one by one, leaving only smaller injuries.

After healing many large injuries, her face soon started looking pale as a sheet, but still, she held on and continued healing. And the boy who was in good health hurriedly took out some supplies from god knows where and helped them tend to smaller injuries before giving them water and something to munch on.

Space....

It was the only thought that crossed Liora’s mind. Or how could she explain where that man pulled out so many things?

Liora looked at her friends and realized their expressions were even more astonished than hers. Their jaws were almost dropping on the ground with disbelief.

Not one, not two... not three, but all of them were actually awakeners. And each with distinct and terrifying abilities. Just where did they come from?

They had never encountered a group where every single one of them was actually an awakener and at a good level, with high capabilities.

Soon they were distracted as the sound of metal breaking reached their ears, and everyone’s head snapped toward the gate, which was barely holding the weight of the zombies.

Now the zombies were actually climbing over each other so they could just get past the others. It seemed they were really that desperate just to reach them...

Most of the weaker zombies even got trampled by stronger zombies, but still, they crawled without waiting or caring about anything else.

Thud!

The iron gate crashed down with a loud bang, flattening a few zombies beneath it. But the rest—hundreds of them—rushed forward like a roaring wave, their eyes glowing with frenzy.

All of them cursed at the mindless horde of zombies. They did not expect that this gate would give out so soon. At least it should have been able to block them for half an hour, but now it did not last more than 20 minutes.

But at least something was good—that the stranger group almost got enough time to heal their injuries and restore their stamina.

Liora did not know what would be the outcome of today’s fight, whether they would survive or not. But all of them would fight till the very end.

"Let’s fight till the end, no one is allowed to get injured," Liora said with a strained voice but filled with warning.

Chen Wei, Liang Zihan, and Zhou Yinuo smiled at her and nodded. "Yeah! They will survive today, and no one can snatch this chance from them. Only they have the right to decide whether they lived or not."

"Let’s fight till the end..." Liang Zihan also shouted and rushed towards the horde that had already knocked over several pieces of furniture and the little protection they had created.

Chen Wei and Zhou Yinuo were not to be left behind. They also rushed forward with a new light in their eyes and determination not to die and to live another day.

The stranger group was stunned at their determination. They were left shocked for a moment before clarity began to fill their minds. They realized that Liora’s group were only college students, not much older, but still they had such a strong fighting spirit.

So how could they be left behind, allowing some younger children to protect them? They looked at each other, and all of them stepped onto the battlefield.

The man with the metal ability stepped forward at the front, his expression was focused. With a sweep of his hand, a terrifying weapon took shape with his metal-type ability—a set of four curved metal blades, with good thickness and deadly sharpness, arranged in a crisscross pattern around a central core.

The entire thing hovered just above the ground, spinning slowly at first with a deep mechanical sound. It didn’t look like a simple weapon. It looked like a giant industrial meat grinder torn from a factory and turned into a machine of death.

As the horde dashed toward them, the man didn’t even flinch.

WHIRR—WHOOSH—SLASH—

The blades began spinning at full speed, slicing the air with a high-pitched screech. The curves of each blade caught the light as they blurred into a speck of silver.

The moment the first zombie came close, it was pulled in and torn to shreds, its limbs flung outward in bloody chunks. The others followed, but none made it past. The weapon didn’t just cut—it completely destroyed them, turning the undead into flying pieces of gore with every rotation.

Zombies were chopped like chickens—no, even worse. Heads flew, limbs were torn, and blood sprayed in wild arcs across the air. It was like a bloodied mist covering everything. Screams were silenced in midair as more and more bodies fell in pieces, one after another.

Hundreds of zombies vanished in seconds, reduced to a mountain of twitching limbs.

Liora and her group stood there stunned. They did not even realize just when they lowered their weapons unconsciously.

None of them had ever seen anything like this.

Even Chen Wei, who had always been calm and expressionless, had his mouth slightly open.

This was not just powerful. It was simply too brutal, efficient, and terrifying at the same time.

"W-What level is that guy..." Liang Zihan whispered under her breath.

"I... I don’t even know if that’s just metal manipulation or something else..." Zhou Yinuo muttered with wide eyes.

The horde that had once seemed endless was now a pile of corpses before their feet.

But the man still had no intention to stop.
