An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me
Chapter 124: Quin VS Sally

Chapter 124: Quin VS Sally

Clang.

Both swords collided in the air, sending out ripples that made the sky shake. Sally and Quin locked in the air for a moment. The smile on Sally’s face remained, and the neutral expression of Quin was still on his face.

"I always hated how you make it seem like you are above everything, but today I’ll fix that," Sally said. She pushed back, flipped in the air, and landed on the ground inside the training yard.

Quin landed a few meters away. He set his sword to the side and, without a word, shot at her. His body became a blur as he slashed from below diagonally.

She tilted her head back, dodging the attack by just an inch. Her eyes followed the sword as it went by.

Quin still continued his motion even after her dodge, using his shoulder in an unexpected move to slam into her chest and send her to the ground.

She rolled quickly and got to her knees fast enough to block his overhead strike. The ground crackled beneath her from the force. She pushed his sword up and followed away.

"It seems you aren’t ready to fight me with everything you have, Quin, but I’ll make you show me that power," she said and suddenly started running in one direction.

Quin gave chase immediately, following her. She leaped over the fence and made her way into the forest.

"Trying to get cover won’t help," Quin said, and with one slash, he leveled the trees for over fifty meters, exposing her.

"Cover? I simply wanted more space to take you on without distractions," she said. Finally stopping, she turned to face Quin, her eyes watching him closely for even the slightest movement.

Blitz.

They moved at the same time. Their swords clashed in the middle. Leaping back a few meters, they attacked again. Quin stabbed her—she parried and immediately countered. He dodged the sword and at the same time slashed with his own.

She twisted her body and dodged it, took a step back, and came closer again with a close-range slash. He set his sword, blocked the attack, and pushed her sword back. He took a step closer and covered the distance, sending a knee to her gut.

She released one hand from her sword and used it to block the leg, then used the base of the sword to jab into his thigh. His leg went down, but he came in for a headbutt that landed cleanly.

Her head shot back—a split second enough for Quin to make the best of. He leaned in, his sword by his side stabbing right for her heart.

It almost hit, but she reacted even in that state and hit his sword with hers, setting the sword off course slightly. It cut her shoulder—not fatal but enough to draw blood.

She didn’t bother about the wound and immediately flipped, getting out of the way of any other attack. She landed on her knee, her sword already beside her.

She pushed from the ground and charged at him again, slashing upward as soon as she was in range. He blocked the attack and pushed her sword down before stabbing at her. She dodged to the side and stretched out one hand, grabbed his wrist, and pulled him in before landing a kick right to the side of his head.

She pulled her leg back and retreated several steps. The both of them didn’t move again—they stared at each other for a few seconds.

"Your swordplay is still as good as before," Quin said.

"You were always the best sparring partner. It’s a shame it all has to end like this, but while I can, I’ll make the best out of it," she said. She widened her smile even more. Her sword lit up with black flames.

"Getting serious, are we? Well then, I guess I have no choice," Quin said. White lightning began crackling around his body, striking the ground around him.

The lightning condensed into the sword. It crackled loudly, sounding like a chainsaw. They both raised their swords and slashed at the same time, firing a lightning arc and a flame arc several tens of meters large.

Both attacks collided in the middle—Boom! An explosion followed, shaking the forest. Fire and lightning fell in every direction and tore into the ground and trees.

The both of them dashed toward each other. Quin went for an overhead slash. She blocked the attack—lightning and fire poured all around.

He overpowered her and pushed her back. Before she could guard herself, he attacked again, forcing her to use a careless block.

He followed up with multiple attacks, trying to press her and win before it got out of hand—but it was too late. The flame on her sword suddenly got bigger and condensed again in one split second.

Quin immediately retreated when he saw that, moving to the side as fast as possible. And his reaction was on point. She slashed down and shot out a flame arc so powerful it ripped up the ground like butter, destroying everything that was in its way.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

More and more explosions followed until the attack finally stopped. Quin looked at the damage it had caused—scorched earth, shattered stone, and rising smoke. He looked up at Sally. He had to take her seriously now; her destructive potential wasn’t something he could overlook anymore.

He inhaled deeply and stepped forward, dust falling from his clothes as he settled into his stance. His feet planted wide, shoulders squared, spine straight—his entire frame brimming with pressure. Both hands held the sword at a tilted angle to the sky.

Sally saw him and narrowed her eyes. She stepped lightly, shifting her weight onto the balls of her feet. Her knees bent, one foot slightly ahead of the other, arms holding the sword over her head. Her posture was fluid, sharp—like a predator ready to pounce.

Their eyes locked for a few more seconds. The air got even more tense. Her smile didn’t waver, and neither did his expression.
