An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me -
Chapter 123: Gate
Chapter 123: Gate
Blaze moved first, blitzing from where he stood. His speed was so fast they could barely react to it. Liana saw him appear before her, her eyes widened, she couldn’t react, his fist was already approaching her.
Boom.
Riven managed to get there in time, blocking the attack with his sword, but the force behind that attack wasn’t light. His sword was trembling from the force. He gritted his teeth.
"Arghhhhhhhh." He roared, putting all his strength to push the hand back. The hand swung back, but Blaze immediately came in with the second hand, sending a punch right into Riven’s guts.
Riven arched backwards, coughing out blood. His body shot through the air and slammed into the ceiling, and before he could fall down, Blaze went in with another punch, hitting Riven right in the head and sending him flying across the corridor.
Liana, who had been stunned the whole few seconds this went on, finally snapped back. Not wanting to waste Riven’s sacrifice, she attacked, stabbing at Blaze’s chest.
But Blaze’s back arms came forward and grabbed the sword before it could get to him. He raised his two free hands into the air and slammed her into the ground, her head smashed into the cold hard floor.
Crackle.
He heard the sound of thunder and turned around, punching into the air. Noel’s sword met with the fist and a sonic explosion happened.
Noel pulled his sword back immediately, and his instincts were sharp because Blaze punched with two hands. Noel blocked them but was sent flying into the wall.
The only person left standing at this point was Mia. She stood there. Despite how much power she had seen Blaze show, she had no fear in her eyes.
"You won’t run? You have seen my strength. What do you think you can do?" Blaze asked, but she didn’t reply. She took a deep breath, her feet spread out, ready to run.
Boom.
She charged forward so fast the floor under her feet cracked. She lived in a straight line, her eyes locked on Blaze.
He smiled, seeing her resolve. Using his eyes, he could already see the perfect time to strike, and when that time came, he threw a punch, but his punch hit nothing.
His eyes widened in shock as he saw Mia. She had pulled back at just the right moment, avoiding the attack. She gritted her teeth, bending backward almost at an impossible angle. Her muscles burned, her bones popped.
She pushed herself up from that angle, coming in as fast as she could like a spring. She stabbed right from there, wind spinning around her sword. She stabbed right into his lower abdomen, blood spilling all around—into her face, the ground, and the walls.
Everything went in slow motion for Blaze as he saw his blood pouring out. She hit him. She landed the attack even when he saw the high probability of the attack landing.
"I finally figured you out. You see the most possible attack pattern—the attack that a normal person would take. So the response I found to it was to stop thinking when attacking," Mia said and swung again.
"Now I’ll end this," Mia said.
"End it? Don’t get cocky!" Blaze roared. He grabbed her sword, moving as if he had not just been hit. "I’LL PUMMEL YOU INTO THE GROUND!" he roared and threw a punch.
BOOM.
Blue flames erupted around them. Blaze was shocked for a moment. He laid eyes on two blazing blue eyes from the fire.
He couldn’t even react fast enough. A slash came from above and cut into his shoulder, digging very deep.
"Thank you, Mia. You gave me enough time," Riven said. He pressed the sword down more, cutting into Blaze’s core.
The grin that had been on Blaze’s face had faded away. What remained was panic and rage.
"SCREW YOU ALL!" Blaze roared and tried to use his hands at the back to push Riven’s sword out.
"That won’t happen," he heard Liana’s voice from behind him, her face covered with blood. She attacked the arms at the back, cutting the weak points—the joints. Her flame-covered sword cut through and cut off both arms.
"Arghhhhhhhh!" Blaze roared in pain.
"Noel, now," Riven said.
Crackle. Lightning blasted in all directions. Noel attacked with his strongest attack, his blade coated in lightning. He moved so fast he looked like a flash.
Slash.
Blaze’s head flew off his body, the shock in his eyes evident. Thud. The head hit the ground and rolled away. The body remained standing for a few seconds and finally fell to the ground.

The notification came. It confirmed Blaze’s death, yet Riven couldn’t feel happy. He was exhausted and still worried about what was happening in the library.
He rushed toward the library, trying to push the door open.
Boom. The door blew apart, throwing Riven along with everyone. Riven slammed into the ground. He heard growls and roars as he lay there. He had been too late. The gate had been opened. He didn’t stop it.
He struggled back to his feet, looked around, and saw the others also trying to get up. He limped toward the door.
He looked inside the library. There it was—the oval gate with dark purple energy swirling inside. He saw the two transfer students standing near the gate.
From the gate, he heard the growls and the roars getting closer—the demonized. Now that the gate was activated, the only way to stop it would be to destroy the rune layout beneath it. But to do that, he would have to get through the horde of demonized that were coming out.
The chances of him surviving and getting to the gate were almost zero. Each one of these weak demonized had the same strength as the girl that had been transformed into a demonized, and even that Riven struggled against. So hundreds of them were a death sentence.
"But I can’t leave here. I can’t allow the demonized to rush out. I can’t," Riven thought.
