Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night
Chapter 89: My brother won’t disappear

Chapter 89: My brother won’t disappear

The day went so fast and morning came. Aurora had just woken up and she was getting herself ready for breakfast on the order of the Alpha who was already back at the mansion.

While she dressed, she feared being ignored by Damien upon meeting him in the dining room this morning. Recalling their banter yesterday night, she wished she hadn’t yelled at him. But that was the only way to stop him from inflicting pain on those that bullied her.

Sighing, she looked at herself through the mirror and told herself to be calm.

As she took a step towards the door, she was stopped by an abrupt opening of the door to reveal her best friend.

"Aurora!" With an excited tone, Scarlet called out, moving closer to Aurora.

"Hey!" Awkwardly, Aurora answered, not knowing how to react after not seeing her for two days. She felt guilty for totally forgetting about Scarlet.

"How are you doing?" Scarlet asked, worry evident on her face, as she scanned over Aurora’s body. She couldn’t help but wonder if Aurora had sustained any internal injury as she had only managed to look at her from a distance when she came to check up on her yesterday.

"I am fine Scarlet, what about you? How are you doing?" Acting like she was fine, she quickly changed the topic and asked after Scarlet.

"Of course, I am always fine," with a broad smile, she answered and they both busted into laughter. Aurora felt satisfied meeting her friend after everything that had happened to her within two days.

"I....." as Aurora was about to talk, she was interrupted by a knock on the door that had them both looking toward the door.

"Come in," Aurora answered in which a maid came into the room.

"Lady Aurora, the Alpha seeks your presence in the dining room." The maid relayed, bowing slightly and immediately leaving the room.

Scarlet shook her head and tutted, already knowing what the maid came for. Aurora smiled, finding her friend’s reaction funny and expected knowing fully well that Scarlet didn’t like Damien.

"You had better get going before he comes barking," Scarlet mocked, busting into laughter after talking.

"Have you no fear? You should stop mocking your Alpha in public," Aurora didn’t want Scarlet to have any problem with Damien as it wouldn’t end well, so she warned.

"Why? What’s he going to do? Lock me up?" Nonchalantly, Scarlet replied and rolled her eyes at Aurora’s warning. She didn’t care if Damien wanted to lock her up, all that mattered was that Aurora was fine.

"Alright, I will come for you later. Now go meet your ’Sweet Alpha’," she stressed on the last two words prompting a light slap on her hand from Aurora to her.

"For my sake be respectful to him?!" Please?" She pleaded, holding her hands in utmost anticipation.

"No, thank you." Saying that Scarlet yanked away her hands from Aurora’s hold and started walking towards the door.

"See you later," she said and left Aurora’s room.

Aurora frustratedly sighed and started making her way to the dining room, to avoid being scolded by Damien like Scarlet said. She wished Scarlet could stop openly expressing her hatred towards Damien. Even though she didn’t know why Scarlet strongly hated the Alpha, she hoped it wasn’t something serious.

As she made her way to the dining room, she felt anxious and hoped Damien didn’t ignore her after everything she said to him. She knew he was trying to punish those who bullied her, but she was afraid of the consequences.

Finally, she got to the dining room and thankfully, attention wasn’t directed at her. Everyone seemed focused on what they were eating and Damien didn’t seem to care about her presence. She noticed that Sarah and her mother weren’t present at the dining table and for some reason, she felt relieved not seeing them there.

Her heart skipped a beat at the fact that Damien was really going to ignore her. It was going to be so humiliating if he acted like she didn’t exist. Funnily, she always wished he didn’t talk to her back then, now she wished he talked to her.

"My brother won’t disappear, stop staring at him and take a seat." Teasingly, Dave noted. He had been staring at her since she arrived in the dining room and couldn’t help but talk about her staring at Damien. Judging by how they came back home separately yesterday, they must have had a misunderstanding.

"I wasn’t staring," embarrassed, she muttered and quickly took her seat.

"Serve her," finally Damien spoke when she entered the dining room, ordering the maid standing in one corner to serve Aurora.

Aurora couldn’t help but glance at him when he gave the order and her heart ached when he didn’t even look at her.

"Thanks," Aurora thanked the maid once the maid was done serving her.

Theresa noticed the tense mood between her son and Aurora but she decided to brush it off knowing the type of man Damien was. Moreover, she had heard about what happened since the last time she saw Aurora, it would be hypocritical if she acted like she was clueless.

"I wonder where the future Luna is?" Noting, Dave asked, finding it weird that Sarah and her mother weren’t present at the dining table. He was more worried about not seeing Charlotte rather than Sarah, but he knew Charlotte would be found if Sarah was found because they were here together.

Thinking back at their last night’s encounter, he wondered if she felt anything for him in any way.

"Fuck!" Unknowingly, he cursed, forgetting that there were people at the table. Realizing his mistake, he gave a mischievous smile and continued eating, acting like he didn’t just curse.

No matter how he tried to take her off his mind, he couldn’t stop thinking about Charlotte. She became a stain he couldn’t wash off.

"Did you ask the wrong woman out again?" Teasingly, Enoch asked and flashed a sly grin at Dave.

"At least I know how to ask a woman out," retorting, Dave spat at Enoch, earning a surprised cough from Aurora, who was still trying to get used to their banters.

"Oops, am I late?" With rushed breaths, Charlotte came running into the dining room.
