Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night
Chapter 75: White-haired girl

Chapter 75: White-haired girl

Sarah’s displeasure with the scene led her to leave the garden, leaving the children behind.

"Why is Luna angry?" Asked one of the kids, his lips puckered in confusion. The other children tilted their heads, signaling their own bewilderment.

Among them, a little girl gasped, drawing the others’ attention. They surrounded her, eager for information. "What is it?" They asked her.

"What if Alpha likes that white-haired lady?" She revealed, widening her eyes as she sought answers from her peers.

"Stop daydreaming! Alpha has Luna, why would he like another girl?" The boy from earlier playfully tapped the little girl’s head, dismissing her idea as nonsense.

"Ouch," winced the little girl, glaring at him. The rest of the children nodded in agreement, finding her suggestion absurd. They had all seen how Luna and Alpha caught butterflies together, so it was clear that Alpha’s affections belonged to Luna.

"Let’s go back home!" Feeling confused and worried, they all chimed in and started walking out of the garden.

Meanwhile, Enoch and Scarlet sat still on the floor. Enoch patiently waited for Scarlet to calm her emotions. Although she had stopped crying, she couldn’t shake off the guilt of causing Aurora to black out and struggle to breathe earlier.

"Scarlet, let me take you back to your room. You can’t see Aurora in this condition," Enoch suggested when he didn’t hear a response from her.

Scarlet didn’t reply but instead rested her head on his shoulder, exhausted and unable to find the words to speak.

Enoch felt relieved when she leaned on him for support, but he resisted the urge to hug her.

Carrying her in a bridal style, he gently walked towards her room. Scarlet closed her eyes, finding comfort in his embrace. Enoch didn’t want to let her go and quickened his steps towards her room.

Upon reaching her room, he laid her on the bed and closed the curtains, blocking out the sunlight.

Deciding to wait in the room until she fell asleep to prevent her from hurting herself or causing more trouble, Enoch knew Scarlet’s tendencies all too well.

"I want to be alone," she ordered.

"I will leave once you are asleep," he disagreed and remained determined to watch over her until she slept.

"Do whatever you want," Scarlet muttered, feeling uncomfortable under his watchful gaze. She didn’t want him to witness the depths of her despair, especially when he was partially responsible for it.

With no energy left to argue, Scarlet turned away from him, hoping to find some solace in sleep.

At the pack hospital

"What’s wrong with her?" Damien asked, growing increasingly frustrated as the doctors wandered around Aurora’s ward without providing a clear diagnosis. It had been over twenty minutes since he brought her in, yet they couldn’t pinpoint the cause of her fainting.

The doctors exchanged glances, silently urging one of them to speak up.

Finally, the bravest among them stepped forward and revealed, "Alpha, she fainted out of shock. It’s just a minor shock, there’s nothing wrong with her." They had thoroughly examined and scanned her, but they couldn’t identify any underlying illness.

They knew it was a shock, but they were reluctant to appear incompetent by admitting their lack of understanding. They feared Damien’s reprimand.

"You mean there’s nothing wrong with her, and she always struggles to breathe?" Damien’s voice rose in frustration.

"Always?" The doctor inquired, finding hope in this new information that might help with their diagnosis.

"Yes, she finds it hard to breathe most of the time. But it was only today that she fainted," Damien explained.

"Ahh," the doctor exclaimed, realizing what the issue might be.

"Alpha, is she dealing with any trauma? If she experiences sudden shock sometimes, it could be related to trauma," the doctor divulged, moving closer to Aurora to examine her pulse.

"Trauma?" Damien repeated, a memory flashing in his mind. His mother had mentioned Aurora being a Luna slave before she bought her. Could this trauma stem from her past life as a slave?

"I..." The doctor trailed off as Damien left the ward, leaving everyone inside feeling a sense of relief. It had been challenging to breathe freely with him around.

Damien departed from the pack hospital, determined to find Theresa and learn more about the trauma she was facing.

"Where is Theresa?" Upon reaching the mansion, Damien inquired of a passing maid.

The maid bowed slightly and replied, "She is in her room with Luna’s mother."

However, as the maid looked up to continue the conversation, she was astonished to find Damien had already vanished from sight. Where did he disappear to?

Unbeknownst to the maid, Damien was already on his way to Theresa’s room, walking with heavy strides.

Reaching the door of her room, he entered without knocking and found Sarah looking happily at something on the table. He followed her gaze and saw expensive fabrics arranged there, which irritated him. Deciding to deal with her later, as he had another purpose for coming, he chose to ignore it for now.

"Why didn’t you knock?" Theresa stood up in shock and quickly covered the fabrics from Damien’s view.

Laura’s mood soured when she saw Damien standing by the door.

Refocusing her attention on Theresa, she said, "I will be back so we can continue our discussion."

"Alright," Theresa nervously replied with a smile.

As she walked up to the door, she gave Damien a slight nod and arrogantly passed by him.

After Laura left, Damien shut the door behind her and walked into the room.

Cutting to the chase, Damien asked, "What’s wrong with Aurora?"

Taking her seat on the couch, Theresa retorted, "What do you want to know?"

"Everything!" Damien raised his voice at her in frustration.

"There you go, treating your mother like a stranger," Theresa said, faking a sad tone that only irritated Damien. He wanted to yell at her, but he knew his mother had a talent for drama, so he tried to remain composed.

"Mother, what is causing Aurora’s shocks? What trauma is she facing?" Damien asked calmly, causing Theresa to stand up.

"Did she go into shock again?" Theresa inquired, moving closer to Damien. She had sent Aurora back to her room after the sudden shock she experienced during their intimate session. Could she have gone into shock again? What could be the reason?

"Yes, she did. Now tell me what I want to know!" Damien demanded, growing impatient.
