Aurora was at a loss for words when David asked for the bracelet. She had planned to give it to Scarlet once she returned to the mansion. After a brief moment of hesitation, she decided it was better to give it to someone who truly wanted it.

"Sure," she said, releasing the bracelet from her hands and handing it over to David.

"Thanks. Are you on an errand?" David asked curiously, noticing Aurora dressed as one of the mansion’s workers.

"Oh, umm... Yes," she replied unsurely, pausing before confirming. She couldn’t help but wonder why Damien hadn’t scolded her for leaving the mansion in maid’s clothing. Was he too busy to notice, or did he no longer care? The thought troubled her, as Damien was not known for letting things go easily.

David shook Aurora gently, snapping her out of her thoughts and back to reality.

"Sorry, what did you say?" Aurora smiled nervously, asking.

"Will you be attending the welcome party?" David repeated his question.

"I should, right!" Aurora responded, not yet ready to disclose her plans. She wanted to ensure a perfect night for herself and Scarlet without anyone finding out.

"You should, I heard the Alpha would be staying for only an hour, so it would be fun once he leaves." David disclosed, making Aurora widen her eyes in excitement. The owner of the party would only be staying for an hour?

She had the whole night to herself without worrying about being caught or scolded by that man? This was the best news ever.

"I am coming," she said and ran toward the mansion. Excited to get herself prepared for the night.

’Just me and Scarlet for the whole night,’ Aurora thought excitedly as she imagined the evening.

David watched Aurora running back to the mansion, chuckling to himself. He had never seen her so enthusiastic before. As he wore the bracelet she gave him, he headed in the opposite direction.

Later, back at the mansion, Aurora was fortunate to find Scarlet supervising the maids. Overjoyed with the news, Aurora couldn’t contain herself and ended up screaming Scarlet’s name.

"Scarlet!!!!"

"Lower your voice. Have you been drinking?" Scarlet looked around, relieved that no one important had heard the scream.

"Yes, I am intoxicated by the idea of the night party," Aurora replied, swaying around Scarlet.

Curious about the excitement, Scarlet asked, "What’s so special about the welcome party?"

Aurora boringly rolled her eyes at Scarlet’s lost look and said, "That means I won’t have to watch out for him for the rest of the night. No Damien, no intimacy phobia. Just you and me for the whole night. It is going to be fun!!" Aurora was thrilled at the prospect of a carefree evening.

"Wow, we should get ready for the party," Scarlet suggested, finally understanding Aurora’s happiness, and she led Aurora away from the corridor.

"What should we wear?" Aurora asked as they made their way.

"Something to attract men," Scarlet winked at her, but Aurora frowned.

"I can’t be seen with other men. Damien fears my child’s legitimacy will be questioned if I am seen around men before conceiving," Aurora explained, holding Scarlet’s wrist.

"That’s absurd! This contract is ridiculous!" Scarlet exclaimed, angry at Damien’s controlling rules.

"I know. He should just get married, right? What’s so bad about marriage?" Aurora tried to pacify Scarlet, who seemed to be already angered.

"He can’t," Scarlet absent-mindedly said, totally forgetting she had company.

"What do you mean?" Aurora asked, confused.

"He... He doesn’t know anything about women. It would be a failed marriage," Scarlet improvised, and Aurora agreed, knowing well how Damien struggled with emotional connections.

"Whatever, let’s just have fun. We don’t need men to have a good time. Let’s go!" Scarlet cheered up, shaking off the negative vibes, and they headed to Aurora’s room.

Meanwhile, at the pack’s border

"They are trying to provoke you," Enoch pointed out as they observed the corpses of two male warriors on the cold ground. Damien and his men received reports of an attack near the pack’s border, and they came to assess the situation.

"Were they found dead here?" Damien inquired, facing one of the men stationed at the border.

The man grew nervous and couldn’t answer Damien’s question.

He suddenly knelt and started apologizing, "It was my fault, I shouldn’t have allowed them to leave the border. I was tempted by their bribes and gave in to their requests," the man confessed and started wailing.

Damien knew the enemies wouldn’t dare step foot into the pack unless they were fully ready to wage war against him.

"Bribe, you say?" Slowly, he walked up to the man and bent to his height. Raising the man’s chin up, he smiled and said,

"It’s not your fault. You don’t have to cry, we all make mistakes," Damien said reassuringly, patting the man’s head.

"I promise to be a better warrior," the man said, apologetic for his actions.

"Of course, you will," Damien replied. But suddenly, the atmosphere shifted, and with a sharp sound, the man’s neck was twisted, leaving the rest of the warriors terrified.

With fear in their eyes, they inched backward, shocked by Damien’s cold-blooded actions. They had heard rumors of his strictness, but witnessing him kill one of their own over a small mistake was beyond their expectations.

"If you would love to accompany him to hell, then you are free to accept bribes!" His tone was intimidating as he threatened them.

Saying that, he shifted into his wolf form and ran off into the mountains.

As Damien ran off into the mountains in his wolf form, they knew they couldn’t afford to make any more mistakes. They were well aware that Damien’s return meant they had to be more vigilant and focused on their duties, or they might meet a similar fate.

"Clear the dead bodies," giving them the order, Enoch ran after Damien leaving the stunned warriors behind.

He was always so protective of them, but this time around he was going to allow them to be punished so they could gather themselves. A limited number of warriors was better than a large number of slacking warriors.
