Scarlet halted in her strides, her face, turning serious as she pondered on what he just said. How come Alpha Lucas knew about Aurora’s past? This was bad, she had not been opportuned to talk to Aurora since the announcement ceremony.

"What do you mean, Alpha Lucas?" She asked.

"Miss Aurora is lying to your Alpha, she has a mate." He emphasized and Scarlet felt like throwing a punch at him. She wouldn’t be able to defend Aurora because Aurora didn’t disclose the name of her mate, but she could faintly remember the name of the pack. Could he be acquainted with Aurora’s first mate?

"How do you know that Alpha?" She inquired further.

"Because I am her mate, I abandoned her because of a little misunderstanding. I know I don’t deserve to be forgiven, but I am still truly in love with her." He said, revealing the truth.

"You are her mate?!" Shocked, Scarlet raised her voice and repeated.

"Don’t be so shocked, though I can’t tell you what transpired between us, Aurora is my mate." He added.

Scarlet suddenly remembered the name of the pack and asked, "Are you the Alpha of the Clown Lovers pack?" Realizing that Aurora was planning to get her revenge in that pack.

"Yes, Alpha Lucas of the Clown Lovers pack." He answered confidently and smiled.

’Bloody bastard,’ Scarlet cussed inwardly and quickly composed herself in front of him.

"Why are you telling me this Alpha Lucas?" She asked as she tried not to sound irritated.

"I want to take her back to where she belongs and I need information on how she got here. Did she deceive the Alpha?" Now getting serious with her, he asked.

"Oh, I do not have answers to that, but one thing I know is she didn’t deceive the Alpha and only caught his attention." She lied and bowed to offer her apology.

Disappointed, Lucas sighed, "It is alright," and assured.

"But there is someone that has the answers to your questions, the Alpha himself, Alpha Damien." She divulged.

"Ohh I see," he responded and started walking further into town. He guessed he had no choice left but to ask Damien himself but that was going to be at night, after dinner.

Back in the mansion

"A conflict? Why?" Halting his hand in what he was doing, Damien repeated the information being relayed to him.

"Scarlet says he is trying to get information on Aurora," Enoch replied.

"Interesting," Damien commented with an amusing smile. He was not surprised Lucas was doing that, he was more surprised he was boldly doing it. Was it because he knew he wouldn’t wage war against his pack now? Such a bold guy, it would be fun to wipe the confidence off his face.

"Why do you look amused rather than surprised?" Noticing his expression, Enoch asked, unable to comprehend why he looked happy, rather than getting annoyed that someone was stalking his mate.

"Why should I be surprised? Lucas has always been the foolish type among us, I wouldn’t have expected less than this," he answered and continued what he was working on.

"Should we stop him?" Enoch asked.

"And where is the fun in that? I would gladly wait for him to come meet me," Damien said and Enoch could only nod at his cunning ideas.

"They were once mates, he is probably still delusional. Don’t indulge him too much," advising, Enoch relayed and left his room afterward. But rather than listening to the advice, Damien was planning to do the opposite, indulge him.

"Right, I hope we are expecting a baby soon." Opening the door slightly, Enoch winked at the bedroom some distance away from the door and hinted.

"It could be two," smirking, Damien answered, feeling confident in himself.

"Hopefully," Enoch teased and Damien turned to face him, about to nag when Enoch immediately shut the door after him.

Remembering the blissful session he just had with Aurora, he walked back to the bed and got into it. Bringing her closer, he wrapped his around her waist and brought her closer to him, so that her back was now facing his chest. Aurora moaned softly, and Damien smiled at the fact that she was awake.

"Good morning," she was already awake but was too tired to stand up. The sourness was bearable, but she didn’t know how to tell him or ask for support.

"Morning," he greeted her back and dropped a light kiss on her neck, which earned a satisfied moan from her.

"Who did you dream of?" He asked as he kept pestering kisses all over her neck before bringing his mouth closer to her breast.

"You," she answered and turned to face him with a warm smile plastered to her face. She would admit she had already fallen so hard for the man in front of her, he was her mate, and it was only a matter of time before she gave in. He made her feel good, every touch from him sent shivers down her body.

"I wouldn’t doubt that after those amazing rounds," he said and winked at her, causing her to burst into laughter.

Playfully, she smacked his chest and murmured, "You are too naughty."

"Only for you, no other woman deserves my naughtiness." He started flirting with her, then he brought his hand down her private part to finger her.

"I am sore," she quickly said, and he halted his hand.

"I am sorry, let’s get you a warm bath." Kissing on her forehead, he apologized for the sourness and stood up from the bed with her in his hands, then walked into the bathroom.

He sat her on the edge of the bathtub and proceeded to check the temperature of the water. Once he saw that it was warm enough, he picked her up again and sat her inside the bathtub. Picking up the sponge and soap nearby, he started washing her body.

"What of you?" While he washed her, she grew concerned about him and asked, wanting him to join her and wash up too.

"Will you wash me?" Mischievously he asked and it scared Aurora. Knowing how naughty he was, the bath wouldn’t end peacefully.
