Chapter 171: Velvet Dress

"Ohh right in time. Well, your perfectly hired maids ruined their Luna’s dress," Scarlet quickly sat up and relayed, directing her gaze towards the sad maids standing in one corner of the room.

"Forgive us, Theresa," they all quickly went on their knees and started pleading, their position so pitiful, that Aurora felt bad for them. She knew it was not intentional judging by their looks, but again, the dress was torn beyond normal, it seemed like the handwork of someone. To think they had gotten rid of all rebels in the mansion, what were they plotting again now?

"Forgiveness? Do you think you would be able to make it out alive today if your Alpha finds out? No, he would skin you all alive," she said, yelling at them angrily. The audacity they had to seek for forgiveness after messing up, annoyed her.

They had just one job, which was to make sure Aurora’s wears were intact, how hard could that be? She specifically put these five in charge of Aurora’s wear, because of Damien’s request to have Aurora perfectly dressed. Even if she wanted to spare them for their recklessness, her son would never let them go unpunished, unless they fixed their mistake immediately.

"Theresa, I am sure they didn’t mean it, what about Liliana? She can help fix something," sparing the maids from her glare, Aurora butted in, bringing up a solution.

"You think I haven’t thought of that? Liliana is not in the pack currently, she went out for a show. Moreover, she wouldn’t be able to produce a cloth within an hour?" Annoyed, Scarlet interjected.

Liliana could be a skilled fashion designer, but making another dress in an hour was overestimating her. They had no other choice but to go for the dresses in Aurora’s wardrobe, which didn’t match the theme of the event, but it was better than nothing.

"No, there must be a solution. Shouting at them won’t bring back the dress." Aurora argued, not wanting to give up yet. No matter how big a problem was, there was always a solution.

"Fine, so what do you suggest we do?" Calming down, Scarlet took a deep breath and asked.

Theresa was already sitting on a chair in the room, her hands were over her forehead as she thought on the serious problem the incompetent maids created for her.

"How about going out of the pack to get a dress? We could quickly get something in the human town?" Aurora suggested.

Frowning, Scarlet walked up to her and said, "The problem is your husband, would he be satisfied with whatever we buy there? Theresa knows his preference well, which is why she had to sew it," reasoning with her.

The human dresses weren’t different compared to theirs, but Damien would notice the difference in the style and might go wild on them.

And from what she heard, Damien chose the style for her, what would happen when he finds out a different one was brought in?

"We can’t satisfy him at this moment, or it would only anger him if I have nothing to wear." She replied and Scarlet rolled her eyes, going back to the bed. She might be right but also wrong. Her head, ached from just thinking about it, she would rather sit back and watch.

"There is.." Suddenly, Theresa stated, not completing her words.

"Is there a solution?" Excited, Aurora moved closer to her and asked.

"Yes, follow me." Wearing a smile, Theresa instructed and left the room, not waiting to see if they followed after her.

"You can go back to your positions, try to stay out of the Alpha’s sight," about to leave, she halted and faced the maid, sending them a warning as she dismissed them. They had already found a solution, hopefully, Damien wouldn’t be too angered after the event.

"Scarlet, come on!" Calling on her friend, she said and walked out of the room.

"Urghh, coming," frustrated, Scarlet groaned and soon followed suit.

Getting to their destination, which was Theresa room, they anxiously stood, watching Theresa rummage through her stuff, wondering what she was doing.

"Ermm, Theresa, do you need help?" Offering, Aurora said, wanting to help her with whatever she was looking for.

"No, it’s just right here," Theresa answered and went back to what she was doing, vigorously searching for what she was looking for.

After waiting for another five minutes, Theresa finally found what she was searching for, "Ahh ahh, told you it was right here. Now have a look at this baby," bringing out a short velvet dress, Theresa displayed it in front of them.

"Oh, my goodness!!!" Stunned, Scarlet exclaimed and went to collect the dress, twirling it around as she praised its beauty.

How come she had never seen this dress after so many years of working in the mansion? She doesn’t remember Theresa wearing it, where could she have found it and who owned it?

"Amazing right? It’s just a gift I got from Damien’s grandmother. Then, it was inappropriate for me, so I didn’t wear it and kept it. Who knew a day like this would come?" She said, disclosing the origin of the beautiful dress.

"Aurora, look!" Scarlet went to give her, and Aurora received the dress from her, her eyes getting teary as it reminded her of a similar dress her mother once bought for her.

"Hey, what’s wrong?" Noticing the tears, Scarlet asked, using the helm of her sleeve to wipe off Aurora’s tears.

"Nothing, it’s just so lovely," she lied, smiling as she admired the dress in her hands. It had stones designed on it and some petals adorned in front of it.

Back then, she had collections of clothes and insisted on getting one just like this but was refused. After stubbornly refusing to eat, they eventually got her the dress, only for it to be ruined by one of her cousins who despised her.

"I knew you were going to love it," Theresa said, proud to have kept the cloth ages ago. Even when her mother instructed her to throw away the dress, she went against her wish and kept the cloth, as if knowing a day like this would come.

Though not perfect like the old dress that was ruined, it would make some eyes jealous of her.

"Now let’s go get dressed, I am not sure our two hours are intact." Nudging, she pushed them both out of her room and they walked towards Aurora’s room.
