Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 129: First encounter
Chapter 129: First encounter
"Scarlet, I promise to find us a way tomorrow. Just bear with me for a while," he kept on pleading, moving closer to her, in an attempt to calm her down.
"I am unable to think properly, what if something went wrong? You know how hard it was for us to get here. With Aurora unconscious, how much can Damien do?" Throwing her hands up in the air, she began panicking, imagining different scenarios in her head.
Grabbing her shoulder, he made her stare into his eyes, making sure to grab her attention, "Do you trust me?" He asked.
"I...I lost the most precious person to me because of you, I am not sure I can trust you when it concerns a life," she replied, hurting Enoch in the process.
His heart broke from hearing her say so because she was right. He was the cause of her pain, and it was selfish to ask her to trust him.
"Then would you trust Aurora? Trust that your friend is alive somewhere, waiting for you?" Changing the perspective, he asked.
"I do," she immediately answered and Enoch sighed in relief. Letting go of her shoulder, he walked toward the door and said, "Stay here, I will be back." And left the room, leaving her mouth that was about to question him, hanging in the air.
Shutting it, she ran her hands through her hair tiredly and walked up to the window, staring out at the full moon. Remembering how devastated she was when she lost the most precious person to her, she couldn’t help wondering if things would have been different if Enoch paid more attention to her.
"I tried for us, Enoch, I did." She absent-mindedly said, unaware of the return of someone in the room.
Suddenly, she felt strong hands wrapped around her waist, a familiar scent filling her nose. Surprised, she froze not knowing how to react to the sudden back hug.
"I know you did Scarlet, which is why I am unable to forget about you. Five years away from you was torture, my wolf would run mad every full moon because it needed its mate. I could only think about you to ease the pain," he confessed, rubbing his head against her neck like a baby in need of his mother.
Her heart ached, hearing his confession, she never knew he went through a lot. She believed he didn’t care about her and was living fine during those five years. No wonder, it seemed like hell during those full moons.
They were both longing for each other but were treating their wounds to acknowledge each other’s true feelings. Instead, they both thought being away from each other was the best.
"I...why did you never tell me?" She asked.
"You couldn’t stand the sight of me Scarlet and I hated seeing you in pain because of me." He replied, his firm tight on her as if he didn’t want to let her go.
"I thought you never loved me, that was why I asked for a break-up." She said.
"My love for you is incomparable. You were my first love and my cluelessness about love made me like that. I didn’t know what you wanted and thought I was doing well. The first time I met you was a blessing," He admitted his mistakes.
He never had the time to love someone, he spent most of his time training to be a beta. Meeting Scarlet for the first time, she was fearless and he found himself falling in love with her, unaware.
She was a lower-level maid who cleaned the mansion before she was promoted to a higher-level maid.
Their first encounter wasn’t friendly, she was angry at him for littering his room when she just cleaned it.
Flashback>>>
"What have you done?!" A very young Scarlet yelled, anger boiling inside her. The place she had just cleaned was now littered. She left the room after cleaning it but forgot something and went back to the room only to find it littered already.
It wasn’t up to an hour before she left and it was already dirty.
"I never knew a maid had the right to complain," he commented, ignoring her as he rummaged through his rooms, littering the room more.
"Stop this instant!!" Unable to hold in the anger, she yelled, walking across the room to stop him from scattering the room.
But Enoch was quick to grab her hand, twirling her until she landed in his hands. With widened eyes, she held onto his shoulder for support, her body shivering from the quick twirl.
"You jerk," she smacked his chest hard, struggling to get out of his hold but was thrown to the bed with him on top of her.
"Would you like to smack the naked chest?" Flirting, he teased, moving his mouth closer to her. Scarlet heart started beating rapidly, her body feeling different emotions as they shared a proximity. She had never been this close to a man and it felt good being under him.
She was never the type to shy away from what she was feeling, so she wasn’t ashamed to express them.
"Sure, I am sure it’s not as hard as the guard’s," acting tough, she replied.
"I like your confidence. Unfortunately, we would have to do it raw as I am in the mood for skin-to-skin contact." He continued, teasing her and this time she was intimidated, pushing him away.
"What happened to being tough?" He asked, smirking victoriously at her.
"You will never get your way with me," she sneered, pushing against his chest.
"You won’t have a choice if I want to get down with you," his voice turned menacing, his words carrying an underlying meaning.
"I am not afraid of you," she said, spitting on his face.
Annoyed, he seized her lips and kissed her insanely, losing his control in the process.
They ended up having sex that night, and she fled his room early in the morning while he was still asleep.
When she left the room, Enoch opened his eyes, relieved that she was smart enough to leave before he woke up. Opening the duvet, he saw little stains of blood and cursed himself for taking advantage of a virgin.
But for some reason, he didn’t regret having sex with her and wanted to have her in his arms again. This was not his first sex but this was his first enjoyable sex, and she seemed to have a hold on him as he couldn’t hold back when he started.
Even when she felt pain from being penetrated, she didn’t whine and only turned him on more. He rode her slowly, waiting for her to match his pace before he began thrusting in her fast.
"Shit," he cursed, realizing that he didn’t wear a condom. How could he be so careless? She would pin him down with marriage using a fake pregnancy, and that was going to ruin him.
Days passed, and even months but Scarlet never came to him for anything. When they crossed paths, she would greet him like she always did and walk away which angered his ego. Was she acting like she was the one who used him?
One day, he followed her down to the corner of a corridor and cornered her, wanting to demand answers.
"Do you need something, Beta Enoch?" She asked, acting like nothing happened between them.
Scoffing, he stated, "Are you trying to make me feel guilty? Why wouldn’t you confront me about that night?" He asked.
"What night? The night where we both made a mistake? Worry not Beta, I have deleted that scene from my head and you are safe." Saying that, she bowed her head slightly and turned her back to leave, but was held back by him.
"Deleted? What about me?" Somehow, he hated himself for asking that question but he couldn’t help it.
"I believe you wanted the same? Or what is the problem?" Feigning ignorance, she asked.
"Did you keep it?" He asked, confusing her. What was he referring to?
"I don’t understand what you mean Beta?" She said.
"We did it raw that night, it must have yielded fruit." Not knowing how to say the word, he gave excuses.
"Oh that, I did well to flush out the baby. You have nothing to worry about," she said and smiled at him, but was slammed against the wall.
"You flushed out my baby?!! How dare you?!" Anger surged through him and he couldn’t help yelling. Even though it was a mistake, how could she flush out an innocent baby?
Scarlet was surprised, she didn’t expect him to care about a child from a little mistake. Why did he seem so angry that she aborted the child? At this point, how was she going to tell him that they were mates and that was why she had been avoiding him?
"Don’t you feel the scent and spark?"
She asked, tears welling up in her eyes.
"What?" He asked, fazed. What scent was she talking about?
Before he could ask more questions, she had already fled the corridor, leaving him to find answers to her questions.
