Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 124: Dark alleys
Chapter 124: Dark alleys
I want to taste his blood, their blood is heaven, let’s capture him.
He possesses more strength than one might assume.
The murmur of seductive voices echoed along the river, their words proving to be an aggravation to Damien. Aurora occupied his thoughts entirely, and everything else became an annoyance.
If this was what the guard had cautioned him about earlier, they were certainly going to add more effort to divert his attention. It amused him how they resorted to the same tactics to entice individuals. However, he had no intention of falling for their ploys.
Who was the girl standing beside him?
Let’s consume her and save the man for later!
But why did she have hair as white as those haughty beings?
Damien’s muscles tensed at the possibility of harm befalling Aurora. The prospect of tearing heads apart seemed appealing if they dared to overstep their boundaries. And who were they comparing Aurora with? Who were haughty beings that were compared with their mates?
Being a werewolf and an Alpha at that, Damien’s superior hearing allowed him to grasp their previously inaudible words easily.
Silence enveloped the river, the annoying noises vanishing, leaving only the sound of the moving waves to reassure Damien that they were still advancing.
"Damien!" Suddenly, Aurora’s voice echoed from behind him, startling Damien. Glancing toward where he had left Aurora, she was nowhere to be seen!
Panicking, he stood up, upsetting the boat’s balance and causing him to fall into the river. "Shit!" he cursed as he struggled to resurface, only to be forcibly dragged back in.
He fought against the current, thrusting his legs into the water to swim back up, but an unseen force seemed to be pulling him back. Turning his gaze toward the source, he discovered it was Aurora.
Struggling to breathe and clinging to his legs for support, he kept on throwing his hands in the matter, not falling for the impersonator in the water. Aurora was unconscious. It was a cunning trick to lure him in.
He kicked her on the head, causing blood to flow, but she transformed into a siren. Sighing in relief that it wasn’t his Aurora, he managed to swim back to the water’s surface and climbed back onto the boat.
Aurora lay where he had left her, no signs of a struggle evident, indicating she had never left. The deception was meant to make him think otherwise and fall into their trap.
He lifted her, placing her on his lap, determined not to let her go regardless of the circumstances. He was determined to prevent those cunning creatures from ruining his mission.
"You have reached your final destination," the same voice from earlier spoke, urging Damien to alight from the boat.
Once he was off the boat, the river disappeared, and a small city full of dark witches appeared.
"Get your black soup here," a woman stirring something together in a black pot, yelled, tugging at passersby’s attention. Holding Aurora firmly, Damien began walking into the city, looking around for a sign that would lead him to where he was going.
"Young man, is that your wife?" An ugly-looking woman asked, moving closer to touch Aurora, but flinched back when Damien threw her a deathly gaze.
"Slow down there man, she’s dead anyways," in annoyance, the woman said and walked away.
"Are you looking for the Amazing sisters?" A young boy asked, staring at Damien with his big-deary eyes that would have affected anyone except Damien.
"Yes, do you know where they stay?" Damien asked.
"No one does, you have to make a sacrifice to get to them." The boy said, hoping to scare Damien, who remained unfazed.
Damien just stared at the boy dumbfoundedly, wondering when he was going to answer his question.
"He is a tough one, let’s go." A voice from inside the boy spoke, that seemed to make the boy uncomfortable. Damien noticed the displeasure on his face but decided to brush it off as it wasn’t his business.
"I could take you but in exchange for something." The boy offered.
"What? Death?" Damien boringly said, scaring the boy momentarily, who quickly composed himself.
"Does anyone here look alive?" Looking around the street, the boy asked.
"True," Damien agreed with his point and finally asked, "What do you want?"
"A drop of your blood?" The boy replied, causing Damien to be wary of him. His gaze turned cold and his hold on Aurora became tighter, indicating he was ready to get down with the boy if he changed into something else.
"Quit it boy, you would never be free from me!" Laughing hysterically, the voice in the boy’s head mocked. Damien raised his brow, questioning what was happening.
"Why do you need my blood?" Realizing something, he asked.
"I am cursed and need a werewolf’s blood to be free. But it has to be of an Alpha’s blood," the boy disclosed, carefully selecting his words, which Damien noticed. Was he being careful or was he lying?
Whatever it was, Damien was ready to deal with it. He wasn’t going to believe the boy, but from the look of things, the boy seemed to be under the control of something he wasn’t comfortable with. Probably what he meant by being cursed, but what can his blood do? How did the boy even know he was an Alpha werewolf?
"How do I know? Well, your aura is all over the place and if you don’t leave soon, you will be surrounded by hunters. Your blood is a good nutrient for those witches," the boy revealed, warning Damien in the process.
"Those witches? Are you not one?" Damien asked, making the boy roll his eyes frustratedly. Out of everything he said, that was the only thing Damien could make out.
He was well familiar with Alpha’s who act like they are stronger than they are, but always get knocked out at the end. He was probably one of them and his blood would be useless to him if Damien should die in the witch’s world.
"Deal or no deal?" Ignoring his question, the boy asked.
"Deal," Damien answered, shocking the boy. Well, he was expecting more questions to be asked, but it seems like he got himself an easy miracle.
"Let’s go, I will suggest you cover her up a little, with your scent. Dark witches envy pale and beautiful species like her," the boy warned as they walked.
Taking his warning, Damien brought out his fangs and gently bit her softly on the neck. Once he was sure the mark wouldn’t easily fade, he retracted his fangs and hid her face in his chest away from people’s view.
They kept on walking until they got to an empty alley that made Damien halt in his strides. Why do the predators never think of anywhere better than an empty, silent, dark alley? And wasn’t that outdated?
So he asked Damien to cover up Aurora’s scent just to avoid other predators preying on his hunt, huh? What a wise hunter, Damien was just curious about his original form.
"So when do we start fighting?" Damien asked.
"When you stop imagining shit about me, I have to open a portal without garnering attention. I am not asking you to trust me but you have to, at least until I get my blood." The boy said, his voice sounding a little bit hurt that almost had Damien laughing. The boy was somewhat cute, he wasn’t going to lie.
"I am turning 18 soon, don’t call me cute." The boy sneered and focused back on what he was doing.
Damien chuckled and replied with, "Yes boss," teasing the boy.
"Stay close, I am not so good with my powers, so be sure to follow me before the portal closes." Spreading out his hands, the boy started enchanting some words that made everywhere windy, causing their clothes to fly in the air.
Aslera Maslera
Caslera Paslera
Heed my voice oh yee path and give us our way
He said the final words and a large hole opened, that threatened to blind one’s vision.
"Follow me!" The boy yelled, entering the portal without looking back at Damien. Damien didn’t waste time and entered the hole. Everything was pitch black, promptingDamien to tighten his hold on Aurora.
"Ahhh," the boy screamed, trying to scare Damien but failed.
"I have been locked up in the dark for two months, I do the scaring." Damien bragged and smirked, intimidating the boy.
With a click of his hand, a forest appeared behind them and they were now standing in front of a crooked house.
There was a faulty wooden sign standing outside, that read, Amazing Sisters, but in a backward manner. Damien found it weird that the sign he was looking for was standing right in front of their house.
"Many people lost faith in them after an unfortunate incident, so they had to isolate themselves from the cruelty of the other witches." The boy explained.
