Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night
Chapter 116: Alpha is back

Chapter 116: Alpha is back

Scarlet closed her eyes, not ready to witness her friend’s body being cut into two. Gritting her teeth, she shivered, when she felt a sound that sounded like a heavy thing rolling on the floor.

As if sensing her fear, the guards let her loose making her fall to the ground hopelessly. She was the cause of her best friend’s death, and she was never going to forgive herself for that. Tears started rolling out of her eyes, and she began slamming her chest in guilt of what she had done.

She only wanted to buy that jerk time, she never planned to fasten her friend’s death in such a horrific way like this.

"Who is next?!" A familiar voice thundered in the hall, causing everyone to flinch in fear. Scarlet felt a powerful aura emanating from beside her, and it took a while for it to register in her mind that he was back.

Opening her eyes, the first view that met her gaze was the separated head of Elder Timotei laying on the floor.

Widening her eyes, she directed her gaze towards Damien and sighed in relief, when she saw a sword with blood dripping from it in his hands. She had never been so relieved to see Damien as she was now. The man she hated with everything, was now someone that brought relief to her.

Looking at Aurora, the former seemed shocked by the gruesome beheading and was on the verge of fainting. Scarlet quickly rushed to her side before she could fall on the hard floor.

"Take her to my room now!" As he ordered, his gaze was on the remaining Elders who were already trembling in fear. He avoided gazing at Aurora because he knew that looking at her would only unleash the beast in him.

The moment he stepped into the mansion, he perceived a familiar scent that he was gradually used to and found himself in this hall, only to see Elder Timotei raising his sword at Aurora. His mind turned blank, and he found himself speeding towards Elder Timotei before cutting off his head.

For the first time, Scarlet could not disobey him as the Alpha aura he was emitting held her spellbound. A certain fear creeped in her heart and she found herself saying, "Yes Alpha."

Enoch was shocked, but didn’t express the shock and helped Aurora up. Backing her, he and Scarlet carried Aurora to Damien’s room.

"Call in the pack’s doctor and get him to my room with immediate effect or your head is next!" Facing one of the guards, he ordered in which the guards quickly scurried off not waiting to listen to the order completely.

"Al...pha..."Elder Jude stuttered, not knowing what to say or how to start. They were done for and a stupid mistake could put them in danger.

Turning his body to face the Elders, Damien pierced the sword into the ground and moved closer to them.

"Is it torture first or death?" He calmly asked, but they knew better than to be fooled by his calm demeanor.

Though he wasn’t gazing at them disdainfully, they knew he was planning a cruel death for them inwardly and was only trying to be calm. The fool who said the Alpha won’t be back in a week’s time was now dead, they had no one to depend on.

The Elders turned to face Sarah, stylishly asking her for directions as they were all following her lead in the plan. Sarah wasn’t a fool and quickly resorted to acting.

"Alpha Damien, I am sorry you had to meet this devastating scene. My mother and I tried to stop the Elders but they were adamant. I got a scar in the process of trying to stop them," opening her hand, she revealed the same scar she used in deceiving the audience earlier.

"Really?" Damien asked, raising a brow questioningly at her.

Sarah was intimidated, and took a step back in submission. She thought about the bastard that informed Damien of what was happening. How did she not know there was a rat in the mansion? They had perfectly sealed the mansion and sent away people who could spread unnecessary rumors. Where was her mistake from?

"I....ye ... .yes," she stammered, not knowing what to reply with.

Suddenly, she fell to her knees and started shedding fake tears that pissed Damien off.

"Alpha, I am innocent." She pleaded.

Even after being red handedly caught, she was still trying to maneuver her way out. Just what sort of cunning being was he going to marry?

He wasn’t going to call her despicable or evil because that was what he was. The only difference is he would never try to ruin someone’s life in such a cunning and undignified manner.

And the audacity she had to even touch his woman, was something she was going to pay for. He was going to enjoy torturing them all, till they begged for death but the main priority was Aurora. Once she was fine, he was going to get back to them.

He gave them the option of torture or death, because he wanted to see if any was bold enough to choose death. Such coward beings, they cherished their lives but won’t hesitate to take the live of an innocent being.

"Guards. Lock them up and make sure a drop of water doesn’t get to them." He ordered.

"No, Alpha. Listen! Damien, I am your future Luna, you can’t do this to me!" Even when she was close to dying, she was still arrogant.

"We shall see," he said and walked into the courtroom to cool off some steam. He felt the urge to rush down to his room to check up on Aurora, but he knew that was a bad idea especially now that his wolf already felt her as his mate. They might go crazy from watching their mate in a hopeless state. A mate’s bond was more crazy, if they were not yet mated. Those emotions, ache and anxiety he felt were all real. Aurora was truly in danger, he hated himself for being too late. If not for Scarlet, he would have lost his mate.

What was confusing was how Aurora was able to have a second mate. There were rare cases of that happening and he wasn’t sure if there was a book that spoke about werewolves having two mates. He wondered if she also felt the connection and felt him the way he did.

"Damien!" Surprised, Theresa called out when she saw a familiar figure entering the courtroom. She had heard some little noises from inside the courtroom but believed it to be from the audience who were still hanging around the mansion.

"Alpha, you are back!" Charlotte was just as shocked to see him. Thinking he was just coming in, she walked up to him and rattled on,"Aurora is in trouble, Sarah would kill her if you don’t find her now! Please save her!" She begged, her eyes swollen probably from not sleeping well.

Though Damien was not capable of reading minds, he could sense that they were both innocent. And judging by the way he met them upon entering, they were not involved.

But Theresa lied to Enoch when he asked after Aurora’s wellbeing, and as much as he wanted to believe that she was threatened, he wasn’t going to let her go easily.

"Anyone there?! Lock her up in her room until I give an order for her to be released." He commanded.

"What? Are you even listening to me? You should be looking after Aurora and not locking up your mother. Why are you even locking her up? She did everything she could to save Aurora," standing up for Theresa, Charlotte confronted him. Was Damien going nuts? The people he was supposed to lock up were outside, why was he targeting his own mother?

"She is safe and do not try to stop me," he disclosed, warning.

Theresa knew what she had done wrong and didn’t bother defending her actions. No matter what, she shouldn’t have hidden the fact that Aurora was in danger. She was a fool to have believed in those malicious Elders words.

Charlotte didn’t know what Theresa did wrong but she believed Damien wasn’t treating his mother the right way.

"Why are you treating your mother this way? This is improper!" Charlotte didn’t back down, as she wondered what could have prompted such an attitude toward his mother.

"If it weren’t for her lies, I would have been here before things got worse!!" He yelled, his eyes glowing in golden flame, as his wolf threatened to come out. Aurora is on the verge of death because of her and she still couldn’t try to stop them from sentencing her to death.

"What?" Charlotte was shocked. What lies was Damien talking about?

"Charlotte, I am guilty. Don’t fight him," Theresa said, stopping Charlotte from taking her side anymore. She wasn’t feeling good anyways, and would only feel better after being punished.

Thankfully, he was locking her up in her room and not somewhere less degrading.

"Take her," facing the guards, he ordered again and left the courtroom.
