Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 109: You will never be able to break me
Chapter 109: You will never be able to break me
"I do," she replied, her voice barely audible. At this point, she felt compelled to agree with whatever he said, fearing that he might turn cruel and subject her to the same torment as Sarah.
She couldn’t fathom why they were going to such great lengths to get rid of her. True, she understood that she had become an obstacle for them, but weren’t they taking things to an extreme?
Aurora had never seduced Damien or coerced him into binding her to a contract, it had been his own choice. Why weren’t they holding him accountable? She almost welled up with tears at the thought of Damien.
He turned out to be worse than she had ever imagined. She had envisioned things working out between them if Theresa’s plan succeeded, but she could never have anticipated such devastating news. What if he needed a way to get rid of her, because he felt she was tainting his reputation?
’No, stop overthinking!’ She scolded herself for overthinking but she couldn’t help thinking about the possibility of it.
He asked about her will, even though he had never allowed her to make decisions for herself. One moment, he acted like a possessive tyrant, and the next, a possessive and caring guy.
Summoning her inner strength, she prevented her tears from falling and maintained her composure. She didn’t want to appear weak or overly strong in front of her enemy. She could only show one emotion, and that was endurance.
"I am glad. Then I am offering you a deal. Would you like to hear it?" He disclosed.
"A deal?" Aurora repeated, raising her head to meet his gaze. Was he being serious right now? Offering a deal instead of conducting an investigation?
"Yes, even though you may be innocent. The future Luna was the one who caught you stealing, and I am not sure anyone would believe your words over hers," he explained, making her realize that she had no choice but to accept the deal. However, Aurora was not the type to yield to mere threats.
"Is that how things work? Does it mean that, regardless of a person’s innocence, the higher-ups have the right to determine their fate?" Irritated, she felt a surge of empowerment and questioned him with a defiant tone.
"Haha, I see you still have some strength left in you," Elder Timotei mocked, shaking his head in disappointment.
"I wish that were true, but I won’t allow myself to be played," she responded and leaned back against the wall for support. Her wounds were starting to bleed more since they hadn’t been treated and had been exposed to the air for several hours. She had been tortured in the same spot five years ago, and she feared suffering permanent damage.
"If I am not mistaken, the Alpha referred to you as a plaything. So, I assume you should be fine with being played," he continued to taunt her, disregarding her feelings. Despite her pain, there was nothing she could do but endure humiliation.
"What’s the deal?" Annoyed by his presence and eager to be rid of him, she asked.
"Now you are talking," he smiled with satisfaction and moved closer to her. He lowered his mouth next to her ear, causing her to shrink back slightly in fear.
"Accept the charges of your crimes, and I promise to help you leave the mansion unharmed," he whispered, as though it was a casual proposition.
"What?!" She exclaimed in exasperation, wondering what kind of insane man he was. She had thought Sarah was the crazy one, but it appeared he was even more deranged.
"I would never agree to that!" She spat at him, and her saliva landed on his lips. He closed his eyes and clenched his fist in anger.
Retrieving a handkerchief, he wiped her saliva from his face and stood up. He had grown tired of being courteous, it was time to teach a lesson to such a rude individual. He was determined to break and torture her to the point where she would regret not accepting his deal quietly.
"Guards, take her to the torture room and secure her to the chair. I won’t tolerate any nonsense!" He ordered, yelling angrily at her.
"But she could die if we torture..." Andrew’s words were cut short when Elder Timotei grabbed his neck and slammed him against the wall.
Aurora gasped in horror, fearing for the life of the guard who had bravely stood up against the higher-ups for her.
"I may be an elderly werewolf, but I became an elder for a reason. Don’t make me crush your skull. Do as I say!" He snarled, displaying his sharp fangs, eager to bite someone. Terrified, Andrew lowered his head in submission, and Elder Timotei released his grip, allowing him to fall to the ground.
"Do not let me repeat myself," he calmly stated, his voice devoid of the earlier anger, before exiting the enclosed room.
"I am sorry," once they were alone in the room, she crawled up to him and gently placed her fragile, slender hand on his neck, checking the red mark that Elder Timotei had just imprinted there.
She appeared so innocent and frail that he felt disgusted by her touch on his skin. She was the victim, yet he couldn’t do anything to save her. How could she have fallen for a man like Alpha Damien? They had always known Damien to be strict and cruel, but he hadn’t expected him to be so cruel to a woman he once possessed.
Pulling her hand away, he muttered, "Don’t pity me, pity yourself," and then lifted her up to head toward the torture room.
He wasn’t even sure if she weighed 50 kilograms, as she felt incredibly small and weak in his hands. Aurora thought she had offended him, so she dropped her head to avoid his gaze, not wanting to offend him further.
Upon reaching the torture room, Andrew placed her in the chair and began strapping her in. With the assistance of another guard, they completed the task and prepared to begin the torture.
"Shall we play a game?" Elder Timotei grinned mischievously at Aurora and picked an electric shocker. He tested it to ensure it was functioning and then directed his gaze toward a bucket of water in the room.
"Pour the water on her," he instructed Andrew, who hesitated before finally picking up the bucket.
"Don’t hesitate, I will be fine," she whispered when Andrew struggled to follow the instructions.
’Dammit, woman! Just beg, scream for help, and you will live to see another day!’ He thought, chastising her inwardly for her unwavering endurance. She would die if the torture continued.
He gave in and finally poured the water over her. Elder Timotei dismissed him and began electrocuting Aurora with the buzzer.
"Ahhh!"
"Urghhh!"
"Nooooo!"
Screams of horror reverberated through the walls of the inner part of the dungeon. Andrew clenched his fists, his back turned against her. He had become a guard to save people, not to watch them being tortured. He realized it was strange when their captain brought them into the mansion, as more guards were needed.
Clearly, they required guards for their evil tasks, and he had unknowingly become one of them. He wondered if his mother would still be proud to see him torturing an innocent woman, as opposed to when he was officially ordained as one of the pack’s guards. It had cost him sleepless nights, training, scars, and time to get here, and now he was a mere guard assigned to carry out dirty work.
"Can you still talk?" Elder Timotei halted and inquired. He set aside the buzzer when he received no response from her, assuming she had finally learned her lesson. However, he heard her defiantly say, "You will never be able to break me."
For some reason, he briefly felt intimidated by the aura she projected with her response. What was this? Why was he suddenly intimidated by someone so frail?
Had the Alpha’s aura affected her, making her able to intimidate him? Or was he overthinking it and worrying needlessly?
Shaking off the troubling thought, he picked up a whip with iron thorns.
"That...! No, you can’t use that!" Seeing the whip he was about to use, Andrew protested, moving closer to Elder Timotei to take the whip from his hands.
"I told you not to defy me!" Elder Timotei growled at him, but this time, Andrew stood his ground and remained fixed in his position, ready to confront Elder Timotei if necessary.
"That whip is laced with wolf’s bane. She needs to be questioned tomorrow, right? How can she do that if you kill her now?" Andrew attempted to reason with him. The whip was laced with wolfsbane, which could instantly kill her, as she was a female wolf and less physically strong than a male wolf who could endure it.
"Who said anything about killing her? It’s just for fun. Now, get out of my way!" He yelled at Andrew.
