Chapter 38: The One Hundredth Beginning IV

NARRATOR’S POV

Javir, Davene, Rebekah and a host of other djinns stood atop the hill.

"Dramon, what are you doing?" Javir asked and walked towards him.

Dramon stared at him in disgust. Javir felt the stare to his core, this was someone who could fight on par with a full power Tahmut while he himself wasn’t even serious one bit.

"I have no need for weaklings like you." Dramon said and he was momentarily distracted.

Tahmut took advantage of that destruction and covered his fist in dark and ominous energy.

"Destruction." His fist hit with utmost precision, destroying everything in its path including the other human soldiers.

"Tahmut!" Javir screamed and ran to his friend’s side, holding him as he fell. The repercussions of using two of his strongest attacks were finally kicking in.

"I-it seems we did it." He said faintly and smiled.

"What do you think you did?" The voice shook everyone in the scene. Tahmut’s attack that basically erased every single existence in it’s way, basically had no effect on Dramon.

Their eyes all resonated the same thing, pure and utter shock.

"What’s wrong? Are you scared?" Dramon disappeared and was instantly standing close to Rebekah, holding her by her neck.

He smiled as dark and ominous energy flowed from his hands into her neck, casually separating it from her body.

"What did you do to my wife!" Davene screamed at the top of his voice as he attacked with all the strength he could muster.

But to Dramon, he was as slow as a sloth or a snail. His moved so slowly that Dramon walked behind him and back before actually dodging his attack.

"Too slow." Dramon held Davene’s arm in mid air and blasted his face with a large ball of energy.

Hefeet removed the dust from his hands and then stared at Javir and Tahmut. His stare bred fear within their souls.

"Javir run. You’re not strong enough to face him." Tahmut said as he got back on his .

"Are you crazy? Look at the condition you’re in and you think I’ll let you fight him alone?" Javir asked, agitated and angry at his friend’s words and at his own weakness.

"This is how the weak behave." Dramon laughed. "If either of you were strong enough you would have ended this a long time ago."

"Or maybe, the both of you come at me together."

Javir and Tahmut glared at him with a little glimmer of hope in their eye. Tahmut nodded at Javir and then the both of them began their assault.

They attacked at blinding speed, each of their attack hitting with deadly precision. Dramon was shocked at this development

as he was basically being tagged at all points.

"What the hell did you do?" Dramon asked angered at their synchronised attacks.

They didn’t answer, instead they smiled and kept on attacking. Dramon’s anger kept on rising, his energy rose as well.

"We need to end this now!" Tahmut screamed at the top of his voice after noticing the change in Dramon’s energy.

"This is all bullshit!" Dramon screamed, his energy erupting like a volcano waiting to pop for years. The shockwaves generated from his actions had devastating effects on both the human and djinn territory, travelling throughout the entire planet and causing natural disasters in it’s wake.

Javir and Tahmut protected themselves with their energies and then charged to attack once again, this time in full force.

Tahmut coating himself in destruction energy and Javir started to syphon the energy from Tahmut as well, adding it to his own.

They both landed a punch on Dramon, which caused a giant shockwave that eradicated the entire djinn territory.

They both panted, their bodies were at their limits and their heads pounded as well.

They looked forward at the place where Dramon had stood and found him laying on the ground seemingly passed out.

"We- we did it." Javir said faintly and fell down on his behind. He sat on the ground trying to catch his breath.

"I told you I didn’t trust him." Tahmut said, his eyebrows still curved in a frown.

"Sorry about that. You were right, I should have believed you." Javir said and then got up and walked to where Dramon’s body lay but when he got there, he was met with the shock of his life.

The body was no longer there. Maybe it was because they he were weak on energy that was why they were never able to sense any movement.

"You thought you won huh?" Tahmut froze and was stiff. "Neither of you possess the power capable of defeating me."

Javir turned around quickly and there stood Dramon with his clothes obliterated but his body intact.

"I am a human who has been blessed by the gods, you can’t kill me for as long as the gods want me alive." Dramon declared.

"I shall give the both of you a chance." He began again. "One of you should kill the other, and the one that does shall rule over the djinn territory for I shall recreate it once again and resurrect each and every djinn that existed here."

"Do you really think we would believe that?" Javir asked as he walked forward with little to no enthusiasm.

"Don’t worry, someone already did." Dramon smiled.

"Destruction." The dark energy enveloped Javir, biting at his entire body. He felt excruciating pain, the pain was like that of a million snakes, a million scorpions and a million fire ants all biting and stinging at the same time.

"Wh-why are you doing this?" Javir asked, almost choking on his own words. The tears that streamed down his face evaporated as well and his eyes burned.

He felt his chest contract from the pain of betrayal, he never knew Tahmut could do something like this.

"If it means our race can be brought back, I would do anything. Even killing you." Those were the last words Javir heard before he was finally eradicated from existence.

ASHER BLACKWOOD

I finally woke up, Tahmut’s thumb was still pressed on my forehead. I remembered who he was, but I don’t know how he knew I was Javir.

I punched him on the face with all the strength I could muster and he flew backwards, although it wasn’t enough to hurt him at all.

"So... did you see what I meant?" Tahmut straightened and then stared at Asher with emotionless eyes.

"Why did you betray me?" Asher asked. The pain I felt back then was gone. Right now, I feel nothing for the being standing in front of me.

"As I said before to bring back everyone that died that day, I needed to go along with what he said." Tahmut replied without an ounce of remorse.

I sighed staring at him. I gathered the essence from the atmosphere and the plants around to heal myself. I looked towards Anna who lay on the ground but was still visibly breathing as though she was asleep.

I attacked again with current power I had. I merged oblivion and deathstorm into one final attack. One that I had seen first-hand in my one hundredth life and the attack that put me to rest back then.

"Destruction." My energy erupted as I used the destruction energy to form a cage around Tahmut, he knew what it meant for even a fizzle of that energy to touch him as he would be completely eradicated.

"An attack like this would work even on Xoraxys." Tahmut declared.

His declaration surprised me. How did he know about the demon king. "How do you know about him?" I asked.

"I’m associated with the Phoenix king and as such I know his equal." Tahmut laughed. "Do what you must. I’ve been waiting for this for a very long time."

I closed my hand and the cage enclosed him. As the energy touched him, he began to disintegrate.

I looked at his face and I saw what seemed like a faint smile and tears streaming down his eye.

I shrugged it off as my imagination and then went towards Anna. I gathered essence in my hand and placed it on her head.

It spread from there to all round her entire body, healing all wounds which she might have sustained.

Night came again and Anna awoke to see me roasting meat.

"Oh! You’re awake." I said to her and then she jumped on me and started crying after seeing my tattered clothes.

"What are you doing?!" I exclaimed trying to push her away, but then I stopped and held her closer. "It’s alright I’m fine."

"Are you sure?" She sobbed, her nose was running like a water fountain and it got on my body but I didn’t care at all.

"Yes, I’m fine." She left me and cleaned her face. She looked at me, her eyes scanning my entire body trying to find a single flaw.

"Don’t worry he didn’t injure me as much as you would hope." I laughed but she didn’t find it funny as she frowned. "We’ll go back to Radkiel tomorrow and devise a plan on killing the Phoenix king."
