Chapter 105: Saving Scion
Chapter 105: Saving Scion
In the Pharmacy Room, Arix, with a serious expression, was carefully mixing medical ingredients for Scion.
Scion’s psychic power had almost reached Supergiant+ level, so ordinary psychic power healing potions couldn’t completely cure him.
Arix had stepped on his head earlier, and it wasn’t for fun. She was closely examining his condition, so she could provide the right treatment.
The only hassle was that Arix was still in her beast form, which meant she had to hop around to select medical ingredients instead of simply reaching out to grab them. Her hands had turned into small paws, making it hard to grasp anything.
With a deep sigh, Arix resignedly used her psychic power and her mouth alternatively, to carry each ingredient to the lab table one by one.
If someone were watching, he’d probably be charmed to death by the cute sight. Nothing could be more adorable than a little creature seriously at work.
Arix placd the last ingredient on the table and rechecked everything to ensure it was correct. Then, she finally let out a sigh of relief. Now all that was left was the catalyst.
Thinking of this, Arix turned to look at Cupid, who was digesting the Insectoid Core on the table.
"Cupid, is the Supergiant-Class Arix Crystal ready?" Arix asked.
"It’s ready," Cupid replied with a cute nod, then he walked over to Arix and squatted like a cat doing its business.
Soon, a fiery red Arix Crystal, still steaming, was placed on the lab table by Cupid.
"Thanks, Cupid," Arix said, controlling the twitching at the corner of her mouth as she thanked Cupid for the fresh crystal. Fortunately, she wasn’t the one who had to drink the potion, so there was no psychological trauma.
But Arix silently vowed to protect her psychic world, making sure she never had to drink a psychic power healing potion.
With all the necessary ingredients ready, Arix took out a box from her Space Button that Vice Admiral De’an had given her earlier.
"Cupid, could you help with these cores too?" Arix asked gently.
"Sure thing!" Cupid’s eyes lit up at the sight of the Insectoid Cores. He eagerly ran over, picked up a core from the box.
Then, he lazily lay on the table, holding the core in his little paws and munching happily.
Arix watched Cupid with a fond smile. Moments later, she turned her attention back to making the psychic power healing potion. Due to the inconveniences of her therian form, she decided to use her psychic power to control the medical ingredients and equipment.
Luckily, she had practiced materializing her psychic power before, so she was quite skilled at controlling it.
She crushed the necessary ingredients, put them into test tubes, boiled them for the required time.
She used her psychic power to separate impurities from the potion, and extracted the pure liquid. She repeated this process for each ingredient.
Finally, Arix poured the liquidized Arix Crystal into the mixture.
As the light blue potion turned pitch black, she smiled with satisfaction.
She poured the potion into a vial and sealed it. Tadaaa—the healing potion was complete.
"Cupid, we’re heading out. I’ll put the cores away for now. You can have them later in the resting room," Arix said gently to Cupid.
"Okay," Cupid replied cutely. He then transformed into a beam of fiery red psychic power and returned to Arix’s psychic world.
Arix put the Insectoid Core and the Arix Crystal back into her Space Button. Then, carrying the potion vial in her mouth, she jumped off the table like a cotton ball and walked to the door.
She leaped up, used her front paw to unlock the door, and walked out of the pharmacy room.
"Finally out, little Arix! You did great."
Vice Admiral De’an and the others gathered around as soon as the door opened, showering Arix with concern and warmth.
Arix felt a bit overwhelmed, sensing their unusual enthusiasm.
She didn’t think much of it, assuming they were just thrilled about the potion.
Arix placed the vial on the floor and said in a cute voice, "The potion is ready. Let’s give it to the admiral quickly."
"Yes, yes, let’s not delay," Vice Admiral De’an said, scooping Arix into his arms and holding her close.
Captain Chris picked up the psychic power healing potion, and together they hurried towards the confinement room.
Following behind, Lieutenant Commander Lancelot had an odd expression since he first saw the potion. He had once seen a psychic power healing potion, and he remembered it being light blue. Though he had heard that stronger potions were darker, he had never seen one turn black.
’Is the potion supposed to be this color?’ The more Lancelot thought about it, the more worried he became.
He discreetly grabbed Sunak’s wrist and, after some serious consideration, he whispered, "Sunak, do you think there’s a problem with this potion? I remember when I saw it in some Alliance news, the psychic healer’s potion was light blue..."
Sunak had been feeling uneasy from the start. Hearing Lancelot’s concern only made his anxiety worse, causing his eye to twitch nervously. However, since this potion was made by his dear niece, Sunak couldn’t let anyone doubt her abilities.
He swallowed to ease his tension and pretended to speak with a certain tone, "My niece is the one who developed the psychic power healing potion. Now, other Alliance chemists can make the potion too, but they can’t do it with some ingredient Arix provide. She invented the potion, so it’s not surprising that her version is unique."
"Really? Well, that does make sense. Considering she’s the researcher behind the psychic healer’s potion, it’s normal for her creation to be different," Lancelot replied, nodding in sudden understanding and belief.
Sunak, hiding his guilt, could only muster a weak smile and nod in agreement.
At the confinement room door, Vice Admiral De’an and Arix exchanged a resolute glance and nodded at each other.
Determined, De’an stepped into the confinement room. The other Empire officers, seeing this, exchanged nervous looks before quickly following inside.
