Chapter 104: Psychic Healer

Sunak took a deep breath, rolling his eyes before clearing his throat. "Arix, that’s enough. Let the medics check on the admiral now," he instructed.

Arix, hearing Sunak, finally stepped away from Scion and obediently left the confinement room.

"Sunak, still need a Psychic Healer?" Arix asked, sounding casual.

"Where did you get...," Sunak began, but before he could finish, Rear Admiral Frepe clamped a hand over his mouth and dragged him away.

Vice Admiral De’an nodded approvingly at Frepe. Then he turned to Arix with a smile that hinted at mischief. "Do you have a Psychic Healer?" he asked gently.

"Nope," Arix replied, shaking her head honestly.

Vice Admiral De’an was momentarily at a loss. This wasn’t part of the plan. The next step should’ve been this young one pulling out a psychic healing potion to save their admiral. It made perfect sense. But reality, it seemed, had other ideas.

It was silly to pin all hopes on a cub, De’an realized. Just as he was about to give up, Arix spoke again.

"I don’t have one, but I can make a psychic power healing potion. As long as I have the necessary ingredients, I can whip it up," Arix said nonchalantly, as if talking about making lunch.

The Empire officers were stunned. Psychic power healing potions were incredibly rare, often bought at outrageous prices from black markets or auctions. Yet, here was this kid claiming she could make one!

All eyes turned to Sunak, seeking confirmation.

"Captain Sunak, is she serious? Frepe, let him speak," De’an ordered.

Frepe, realizing his error, quickly released Sunak and apologized, "Sorry, buddy, forgot myself there."

Sunak just stared back, speechless. It seemed like they wanted him to talk when it suited them, but gagged him when it didn’t...

The Empire officers, feeling Sunak’s accusing gaze, shifted uncomfortably. Some stared at the floor, others at the ceiling, while a few coughed awkwardly and turned away.

Sunak rolled his eyes, clearly frustrated. "I’ve known my niece for about as long as you guys have," he muttered irritably. "How would I know? But I heard the person who developed the Psychic Healer is named A... Arix, is that really you?"

Arix looked around at the incredulous faces and asked, puzzled, "Sunak, you know my name. Didn’t you realize it yet?"

Sunak felt like shouting, ’How was I supposed to know a little cub like you could create the Psychic Healer!’ But before he could say anything, the other Empire officers eagerly pushed him aside.

Vice Admiral De’an’s eyes lit up as he picked Arix up, and the officers crowded around her, all clamoring for the potion.

"Little Arix, when you have time, could you make some for me too?" Vice Admiral De’an asked with a kind, gentle smile.

Arix nodded without hesitation, finding it an easy task.

Seeing this, the other officers quickly started flattering her, also asking for the potion. Arix agreed to each of them, winning their hearts and instantly becoming the small cub everyone’s fond of.

After sending Arix into the lab, Vice Admiral De’an and the others suddenly turned their heads in unison, staring quietly at Sunak.

Sunak was taken aback. "You’re scaring me, guys! Please don’t look at me like that!"

Clearing his throat, Vice Admiral De’an spoke seriously, "Sunak, don’t you think we should discuss the cub’s identity?"

"Yeah, let’s not even talk about her Supergiant+ psychic power. Just consider the Psychic Healer potion. If Arix is indeed the one who developed it, the Alliance must be crazy to let such a treasure run around freely," commented Lieutenant Commander Lancelot in amazement.

"The Alliance is so stupid on this. I suggest Arix switch her nationality to us," Captain Chris’s eyes gleamed, thinking it was a great idea.

"Exactly, and Arix is originally a therian cub. Her bloodline is pure. How could she be one of the Alliance people? She’s definitely one of us! The Alliance can’t possibly have a therian cub, can they?" Rear Admiral Frepe’s confidence grew as he spoke, and the other officers nodded in agreement.

Sunak sighed deeply, feeling the absurdity of the situation. "Arix’s mother is the daughter of His Holiness, and her father is a Vice Admiral of the Alliance."

"His Holiness? As in His Holiness of the Empire? Well, that just made things even easier. As for her father... a Vice Admiral, you say? That’s nothing to be afraid of. I’m a Vice Admiral too," Vice Admiral De’an puffed out his chest, letting out a proud humph.

"But, Arix’s grandfather is the admiral of the Fifth Legion of the Alliance, commanding an entire legion’s worth of soldiers. Moreover, he is the current head of the Kering family, one of the five major families. The five families have always stuck together. Do you think you can take on all five families?" Sunak said as his voice grew increasingly sympathetic.

The more beautiful their earlier visions, the harsher the reality they now faced.

Sunak’s words deflated the Empire officers. The air became instantly gloomy and depressive.

If it were just about taking a Vice Admiral’s cub, they might have had a chance. But taking on the cub of one of the five major families? Forget it.

With their spirits clearly dampened, Sunak began to wonder if he’d been too harsh. After all, it was natural to like such a cute cub.

Scratching his head, Sunak tentatively offered some comfort, "Arix isn’t from the Empire, but don’t forget, her mother is one of our tigermen. So, doesn’t that make the Tiger Legion her home?"

Vice Admiral De’an’s eyes widened, a spark of hope reigniting.

Rear Admiral Frepe’s face lit up. Captain Chris’s excitement returned, and Lieutenant Commander Lancelot’s jaw dropped in realization.

"That’s a wake-up call!" The Empire officers suddenly got excited.

"Yes, she’s definitely ours," Rear Admiral Frepe’s eyes sparkled, and he stood up straight with renewed energy.

"Who would’ve thought, at such a crucial moment, Sunak, your brain would work so well. Well done! You really did a good job this time," Vice Admiral De’an said with a smile, giving Sunak a pat on the shoulder.

Captain Chris and Lieutenant Commander Lancelot also gave Sunak a thumbs up, showing their admiration.

Sunak, not expecting such praise for his casual remark, scratched the back of his head shyly and joined in the laughter.
