Chapter 103: Saving The Admiral

Sunak glanced around, trying to figure out who was speaking. Suddenly, he realized everyone was staring at him. He looked down and saw that Arix was with him.

Recalling what the little cub had said, Sunak quickly covered Arix’s mouth and scolded, "Arix, this isn’t the time for jokes. I gave you the Space Button you’re using and I know what’s insdie. Where did you get a psychic power healing potion?"

"Mmmph... mmph..." Arix tried to explain, but his mouth was tightly covered.

The Empire officers, hearing Sunak’s scolding, averted their gazes in disappointment. They had wanted to tell Arix not to joke in such a serious situation but felt awkward since Arix was just a cub.

With collective sighs of disappointment, everyone resumed their discussion.

Vice Admiral De’an said calmly, "If this continues, the admiral’s life will be in danger. We must subdue the admiral first. At least let the military doctor alleviate the psychic power rampage; only then will there be a chance for treatment. As for who will subdue the admiral... it should be me. My psychic power is the strongest among us. I’ll do my best."

His indifferent tone and expression masked the danger he was about to face—subduing someone whose psychic power level was higher than his own during a rampage. If Vice Admiral De’an did it, the best outcome would be severe injuries, and the worst would be dying alongside Admiral Scion.

"No! We need you to fight against the insectoid swarm. Precisely because your psychic power is the strongest among us, you can’t take the risk. I’ll go and do it," Rear Admiral Frepe said.

Although this would put both him and the admiral in danger, Rear Admiral Frepe had to think about the safety of the 50,000 Empire soldiers on the starship carrier and warships. Losing another leader would cause internal chaos before the insectoid swarm even struck.

Vice Admiral De’an considered this point. He then clenched his fists, closed his eyes, and finally forced out a word thought his teeth, "Fine!"

"Rear Admiral Frepe, I’ll go with you. If anything happens to the admiral, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself," Captain Chris said firmly.

Rear Admiral Frepe was silent for a moment, then he clasped Captain Chris’s shoulder with a carefree smile, "Alright, we’ll go together."

With his mouth covered, Arix watched the Empire officers meticulously plan their potential deaths. Feeling speechless and slightly annoyed, Arix suddenly unleashed her own psychic power.

In an instant, a powerful surge of psychic power knocked Sunak away and forced everyone else to take a step back under its pressure.

The sudden reversal brought a moment of stunned silence to the scene.

After a while, Vice Admiral De’an twisted his stiff neck and looked at Sunak, sprawled on the ground. He asked cautiously, "Is her psychic power Supergiant+?"

Sunak, equally shocked by the unexpected turn of events, couldn’t close his dropped jaw. Hearing Vice Admiral De’an’s question, he quickly shook his head. "I don’t know. My cousin didn’t tell me anything about her. But judging by the power... maybe?"

Vice Admiral De’an wiped his face in exasperation. He walked over and squatted in front of Arix, speaking in a gentle tone, "Arix, right? Is your psychic power really Supergiant+?"

Arix, squatting on the ground, nodded obediently.

"Can you help us subdue the admiral?" Vice Admiral De’an asked, hopeful.

Arix nodded quickly. "Sure, it won’t be as hard as you said."

Vice Admiral De’an shut his mouth in shock.

Great, just today, he was outdone by a little cub.

"Is that so... Well, we appreciate it. Time is of the essence. Can we start now?" Vice Admiral De’an quickly regained his composure and looked at Arix for her consent.

"Okay," Arix nodded.

Without further ado, Vice Admiral De’an picked Arix up and headed toward the confinement room. The other officers exchanged glances and followed, even Sunak, who had been on the ground, got up and trailed behind.

They all gathered at the door of the confinement room, their eyes turning to Arix. She gave a firm nod, signaling them to open the door.

Vice Admiral De’an took a deep breath. Then, without hesitation, he flung the door open. Immediately, a terrifying surge of psychic power burst out from the room.

The officers instinctively recoiled, but at that moment, Arix suddenly flew out of Vice Admiral De’an’s arms, her small wings flapping.

A wave of psychic power, equally strong as that from the confinement room, erupted from Arix. In the blink of an eye, she formed a golden psychic power shield in front of her, blocking the incoming attack.

A terrifying roar echoed from the confinement room, and moments later, a large tiger emerged, its blood-red eyes fixed intently on Arix and the others.

"Scion?" Arix tentatively called out, hoping there was still some consciousness left in Scion.

Scion’s response was to open his massive jaws and lunge at them.

’Alright, no need to hold back now,’ Arix thought to herself.

Arix initially felt embarrassed about being harsh to someone she knew, but seeing that Scion had lost all reason, she felt no guilt about taking action.

The battle between them was completely one-sided. Although Arix was tiny, not even as big as Scion’s head, she easily overpowered him.

By the end, she was standing triumphantly on Scion’s head, looking down at him with satisfaction as he lay bound by her psychic power.

The little cub scolded him like an unruly patient, puffing up her cheeks and saying, "When you’re sick, you should behave. Only bad kids cause trouble for others."

Outside the confinement room, the Empire officers watched with complicated feelings as their admiral was reprimanded by a little cub.

However, instead of intervening, they collectively and eagerly pulled out their opticomputers to record the scene. This was prime blackmail material!

After they had recorded enough things, Vice Admiral De’an and the others finally turned their gaze to Sunak, subtly hinting that he should step in. After all, Scion was their admiral, and some dignity had to be preserved.
