Take it easy and mix your reading. I mean you should not force-read 100 chapters of SS daily just to catch up. If reading too much of ss is boring for you, I would say read a bit of SS daily, and catch up on other novels at the same time. Shadow Slave IS enjoyable, but I know the feeling of reading 800 chapters in literally a week just to get burned out for a year. So like others mentioned, read slowly, if you get tired of SS, take a break, then get back on the grind the day after. FS is one of the best arcs, but it gets tedious with how long it feels sometimes.

I am on chapter 250 something, should i keep going? Am enjoying the novel so far but am quite bored and wonder when the sea arc ends...
The treatment is to fold under no pressure and double down on reading sh*tty chinese webnovels with the same copy paste character traits, world building, events and power system... I am not guilty of doing the same, neither have I had this problem in the past.
Without spoiling, the whole comminity CAN probably agree that Sunny is among the strongest of his peers. Regarding if he is the strongest or not, it is up to debate I would say. Personally I consider him the strongest due to his versatility. Can't really say no more without dropping fat spoilers, so just read. He is certainly top dog material, I'll say that much.

guys i have this rare medical condition of dropping a novel if the mc isnt strongest amongst his peers.idk how i developed this. in this novel also i dropped it around 200 ish because of this and now im picking it back up because i felt like i missed a masterpiece. If you don't care about romance (and don't mind smut), you can skip those parts (or skim-read them, cause smut... yeah, you know).
I really think the strong point of this novel is the action and world building, and not the romance & emotional part. Is romance and emotional development present? Yeah, but early on, it's on the border, and only later does it become more prevalent. Despite that, the plot and action are solid in the beginning before getting better and better.
So personally, I would that as long you do not hate smut & harem with a passion, and are willing to skim them, the action and plot makes it worth it. You could think of it as 2 novels in 1, with one being lore & action, while the other is romance & harem.
It's good from early on, but I can see how the 1k+ chapters make it hard to estimate if it worth 'investing' your time.
🤣Bromance is surely a W, but it's rare. Regarding the part about any female character automatically being related to as MCs woman, sure, I agree. This novels is guilty of doing that too. But, and a big one, there is no part where they automatically fall in love with him, neither a damsel in distress trope. The fmls in this novel are... a bit broken (?), like the MC is gunning for them, rather than the opposite. He is trying to seduce them (but is not a simp for them), so this one does not fall under the [generic chad mc, shallower than a rock female, boring cast]. I wrote a review in which I think i covered the major parts of the novel, but despite having a larger harem, it takes it time to develop the characters. Like in the 300 chapters which i've read, there are only 2 women which we can confidentaly call his lovers, and even they are not NPC nr. 1 and nr. 2. Like elga, an fml, has this whole meltdown when the MC says he wants a harem.
Give it a go. I think it's worth it.

I think 3 is the limit for any harem for any novel not too much not too less, more than 3 and it just feels too much even for the reader, its like any female important character that arrives will be automatically related with mc as his woman and they will fall for him automatically too maybe with the damsel in distress act. it would be better to turn those female characters into bros, you know bromance is good too
