That is kinda where I'm at. He is going around with the younger fox, and I did not wish to read 200 chapters of their interactions if she is going to die later. I know them plotting against the main cast is a bitter feeling, but if they were to slowly develop them, as in them becoming less and less willing to betray, that would have been fine. An enemy-to-lover trope is never a bad one when done correctly. But I do see your point. I am not willing to read anymore, 200 chapters of interactions before the guilotine execution is not my cup of tea😭. I am emotionally weak like that

I too am someone who usually likes niche novels, mangas and games. If a novel is highly rated, it is usually an indication, for me at least, that it's general writing and story are good. Maybe they might not fit my taste, but they are generally good. Sometimes, even mediocre plots, according to others, could be very good to you. In my opinion, I read SS and I really enjoyed it for the longest time, around chapter 800 I took a break spanning many months, probably a bit longer than a year or 2 even, just to come back and be mindblowed. I highly suggest you give SS a try, because ironically it's introductory arc, the forgotten shore arc, is maybe the best arc up to date. But to be honest, all of them are very very good, except the second nightmare which is worse. You just need to be in the grindset🤣.
They planned to tell The supreme words about Aster..Damian...Noah.. Nux(or whatever the mc's name was I haven't read in a while so I don't remember) and planned to use that info to climb up the ladder and offer themselves to them..
Like they plotted against mc and his girls and it would have really left a bad taste in my mouth if any of them were to end up in his harem after that.
But being spoiler really ruined it for me tho... Like I was spoiled like 60 chapters before that and took a long break before getting the guts to read it

Well acc to peoples they are peak but I'm someone who usually doesn't like the typically liked stuff, so I can't really say if SS would suit my taste. RI totally seems like something I'd enjoy while for LOTM I can't really say without reading.
But since they are on top everywhere. I might probably just like them all. Who knows.

Well, like it or not, we both know they are peak novels. The thing keeping me away for the longest part is that one is dicontinued FOREVER, while the other one is complete. And I don't f*ck with complete novels. Well, i didn't before. I am trying to fix it. Daily updates is much more fun. You get to interact with other a lot more, think of theories and potential plot twists, meanwhile complete novel is the most basic form of reading. You read from start to finish until you are done. Nothing in-between for the most part. I am waiting for the physical verion of LOTM to be released in july before starting it. As for RI, i'll do it in summer.
Yea... I didn't even find anything wrong with romance in beginning cuz I had read this novel long ago when i was pretty new to novel reading. But after reading so many novels with amazing buildup and romance which actually hits on the spot, I feel like romace here is still better than the novels with falling in love with jade beauties on first glance and them loving you instantly.
Here it is more like.

Ooof... the romance is sloppily done then. Banging women but no buildup ☹. The first time I was expecting good romance, so that was probably I stopped. At least now my expectations have been grounded on your solid knowledge foundation🤣. I'll give it a go when my planne list of novels dries out.

It has (I'm at 1600). I enjoyed it but them simply expanding the world again and again and again is not really fitting. Unlike for example Cultivation Online which was self-evident that it would happen, there it feels more forceful. My only gripe with SHGS is the plot becoming worse and worse due to expansion purposes. The characters and interactions have always been good, and felt like the main component of the story. So the author now expaning the story continously feels unfitting. Still a 3-4/5 for me, but it does not hit the same anymore 😞.
