The first part of the story is quite twee and a little cringe. If you can get through the first 50 chapters the author soon hits his stride and the novel begins to take off. The MC is quite OP but is still likeable enough for all that. The author isn't bad at writing action scenes but you won't see many until the 100/150+ mark. (What do you expect? The MC arrives as a baby after all.) So far the novel is mostly sweetness and light and I don't see that changing so this one will be perfect for those who want a warm comfortable experience. Unfortunately I have caught up to the current chapter so I must now wait for more. :(

This one ticks all of the boxes. Military doctor √. Girl Boss √. Magical space √. Saves the handsome hero √. Dastardly villains √. Makes money easy peasy √. Enough drama to choke on √.
Thankfully there are plenty of good points, too. The FL is actually likeable and isn't totally overbearing. The ML isn't a complete simp either. They work together to solve their problems, which is quite nice. The secondary characters aren't completely two dimensional, which is another nice point. There is also a convoluted underlying mystery which should be the envy of every soap opera and tele novella writer worldwide. I'm surprised some K-drama producer hasn't nicked the idea already.
All in all I quite enjoyed the story and don't regret spending some time reading it. In fact, this is one of those that I'll definitely read again in the future.
This one is rather good. There are typical tropes of the genre but they are decently executed and didn't get on my nerves. I did feel the ending to be a bit rushed and would have appreciated some follow up chapters. I will look for more works by this author. I also want to applaud the translator. Dragonboat did a good job and I will be checking out their website for more works if possible.
Just as another reviewer said, this is one of my all time favourite novels. I've read it multiple times and even though I know that the author was forced to drop it I am still surprised and disappointed every time I reach the cut off. Zhang Ye is an absolutely wonderful character - he is rather vain but still manages to seem a bit humble, he takes his Golden Finger from transmigrating and sticks it anywhere he can. Despite this he remains an extremely likeable chap. I recommend giving this a try because it will bring you to both laughter and tears due to the good writing but also over a great story being forcibly shut down.
