Yugioh Card Summoner -
CH.636 Should I make Duel Terminals
Today I’m continuing the work on the Riding Duel Tournament. Specifically the card list for the tournament.
Now since I don’t actually have to print these cards, I just need to make duel usable copies in the Factory, I can have quite a large card list. And since the decks will be made in the Factory, it will be easier to go through all the cards, as the competitors will be able to sort through the cards like how I sort my Collection.
But before I finalize the card list, I need to deal with a few sets. Mainly Duel Terminal sets 5 and 6. Well, 5a and b, as well as 6a and b.
I left them on hold as they had cards from sets I didn’t have yet, and as the Duel Terminal series count as ‘reprint packs’ to Pack Opener, I assumed they wouldn’t have any cards that originate from them.
But now I can tell that I was wrong, as I lack some cards I could get from those sets. So I’ll open 5 more packs of each 5a, 5b, 6a and 6b, and then I’ll get whatever I’m missing from the sets so that I can use the cards from them for the tournament.
I know it won’t be that many, and there is a chance that no one will even use them, but I know at least a few of the Vylon Synchro monsters are still stuck in those sets, and I want them.
But yeah. Let’s just get to the openings. Starting with 5 packs of Duel Terminal 5a.1Note: Like last time, the custom setlist was put together by 12AngrySpartans. Thanks.
Spoiler
DT05a 1
Kayenn, the Master Magma Blacksmith; Slate Warrior; Nimble Momonga; Gem-Merchant; Maha Vailo; Vylon Vanguard; Vylon Charger; Laval Judgment Lord; Laval Miller
[collapse]
Well, this one had nothing new, next.
Spoiler
DT05a 2
Card Ejector; Maha Vailo; Spear Cretin; Cyberdark Keel; Gem-Merchant; Elemental HERO Ocean; Gellenduo; Aussa the Earth Charmer; Gem-Armadillo
[collapse]
Again, nothing new. Maybe I mischecked the sets and I already had everything from 5a, or maybe I just need more luck. Next pack.
Spoiler
DT05a 3
Aussa the Earth Charmer; Vylon Charger; Laval Burner; Level Eater; Gem-Knight Garnet; Necro Gardna; Nimble Momonga; Vylon Soldier; Laval Miller
[collapse]
Nothing new, next.
Spoiler
DT05a 4
Maha Vailo; D.D. Crow; Nimble Momonga; Laval Warrior; Aussa the Earth Charmer; Prominence, Molten Swordsman; Gem-Merchant; Spear Cretin; Skill Successor
[collapse]
Yeah. Seems like I checked wrong. I have all of this stuff already. One more packs, just because, but I’m not expecting anything.
Spoiler
DT05a 5
Gellenduo; Aussa the Earth Charmer; Slate Warrior; Nimble Momonga; Gem-Knight Garnet; Elemental HERO Ocean; Level Eater; Gem-Knight Sapphire; Skill Successor
[collapse]
Okay. Yeah. Let me check the setlist so I can actually confirm if I’m missing anything from 5a. If I’m not, I’ll just move to 5b.
Okay, I double checked. I had everything from 5a already. Most of it was stuff that was in Hidden Arsenal 5: Winds of Gusto, so I can just move onto 5b.
I checked the setlist for 5b, but I also had everything from there. So no need to waste time with opening those. Except that opening packs is fun, so I’ll do five anyway. I won’t be commenting on these, as I already know I have everything. Unless I get a cool card I want to talk about.

DT05b 5
Gusto Gulldo; Senju of the Thousand Hands; Sonic Bird; Gishki Abyss; Puppet Master; Winda, Priestess of Gusto; The Tricky; Steelswarm Caller; Cyberdark Dragon
[collapse]
Well, I got a Cyberdark Dragon. I still like the Cyberdark series, even if they kind of suck. Actually, in this world they are quite good as they can take over dragons, and dragon-like monsters.
But anyway. Next set. I guess I’ll check if 6a has some new stuff and if it does, actually even if it doesn’t, I’ll open 5 packs of it.
Well, I checked and 6a does have at least a few cards I don’t already have. So we can actually get new stuff!
Let’s get to it.
Spoiler
DT06a 1
Freed the Brave Wanderer; Elemental HERO Gaia; Vylon Tetra; Steelswarm Sentinel; Advanced Ritual Art; Future Fusion; Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands; Mystic Tomato; Infestation Ripples
[collapse]
Welp. I told you this set had new stuff, but that doesn’t mean that this pack had anything new. Onto the next one.
Spoiler
DT06a 2
Steelswarm Sentinel; Elemental HERO Gaia; Battle Fader; Gishki Reliever; Forbidden Arts of the Gishki; Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands; Timeater; Arcana Force EX - The Light Ruler
[collapse]
Gishki Reliever is new. … but it is awful. It allows me to return a monster I control to the hand when normal or flip summoned. But only if I control another Gishki monster. I know Gishki likes to return to the hand, but that is just an awful effect. At least give me a draw afterwards or something.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06a 3
Eria the Water Charmer; Freed the Brave Wanderer; Advanced Ritual Art; Timeater; Steelswarm Sentinel; Vylon Tetra; Future Fusion; Copycat; Infestation Ripples
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
DT06a 4
Vylon Component; Battle Fader; Vylon Stella; Guardian Angel Joan; Hand of Nephthys; Eria the Water Charmer; Timeater; Gishki Noellia; Arcana Force EX - The Light Ruler
[collapse]
Vylon Component is nice enough. An equip that gives piercing is nice. … Actually, did I ever talk about what piercing on monsters does? I probably never did. Well, it just ignores some of the defense the opponent has. Direct attacking ignores all defense, by the way.
Vylon Stella is just a level 3 Vylon Tuner.
And Gishki Noellia sends Gishki cards from the top of the deck to the GY. Not really something I need.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06a 5
Vylon Element; Battle Fader; Freed the Brave Wanderer; Athena; Copycat; Elemental HERO Gaia; Gishki Reliever; Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto; Arcana Force EX - The Light Ruler
[collapse]
Sadly nothing new here. Also, I’ll leave checking for new stuff I didn't get until I’ve opened the five packs of 6b. Just for convenience.
So let’s get to them.
Spoiler
DT06b 1
T.G. Rush Rhino; Double Summon; Golden Homunculus; De-Synchro; Hiita the Fire Charmer; Vylon Tesseract; Greenkappa; Gusto Falco; Laval Coatl
[collapse]
Laval Coatl just special summons itself if you have 3 or more differently named Laval monsters in your GY.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06b 2
Elemental HERO Neos Alius; Double Summon; Dark Grepher; Hiita the Fire Charmer; Penguin Soldier; Buster Blader; Kamui, Hope of Gusto; Laval Lakeside Lady; Particle Fusion
[collapse]
Particle Fusion does give a lot of attack for the summoned monster for the turn. But only for the turn. Still, I like big numbers, so I might use it.
Next pack.
Spoiler
DT06b 3
Quickdraw Synchron; Abyss Soldier; Gem-Knight Iolite; Buster Blader; Greenkappa; Golden Homunculus; Legendary Jujitsu Master; De-Synchro; Gravekeeper's Spy
[collapse]
Nothing new here, next.
Spoiler
DT06b 4
Gusto Falco; Kamui, Hope of Gusto; Double Summon; Abyss Soldier; Phantom Skyblaster; Buster Blader; Golden Homunculus; Volcanic Shell; Gem-Knight Obsidian
[collapse]
Gem-Knight Obsidian specials a level 4 or lower normal monster from the GY when it is sent there from the hand. Which is decent enough.
Next, and last, pack.
Spoiler
DT06b 5
Legendary Jujitsu Master; Volcanic Shell; Hiita the Fire Charmer; Gem-Knight Iolite; Vylon Pentachloro; Laval Blaster; Gishki Vision; Golden Homunculus; Aquamirror Illusion
[collapse]
And nothing new in the last pack. But at least I get to check what I don’t yet have from Duel Terminal 6. Both a and b.
And I was missing quite a few cards from the two sets.
Daigusto Falcos gives all Gusto monsters a 600 attack boost on summon.
Daigusto Sphreez cannot be destroyed by battle and inflicts all battle damage to your opponent.
Dustflame Blast is a pretty decent mass destruction effect.
Evigishki Gustkraken is one of those nightmare cards. Those who played against the Gishki hand loop hate it, but some others don’t see the problem. I just think she … it is a she, right? She looks cool.
Evigishki Merrowgeist is bad. Having to detach a material to shuffle a monster back into the deck after you destroyed it by battle is not worth it. But again, she looks cool.
Gem-Knight Crystal is just a level 7 vanilla.
Gem-Knight Amethyst returns all set spells and traps to hand when it is sent from the field to the GY. … Yeah. That is way too late to be sending stuff back to hand. Well, I suppose you could use Amethyst as a fusion material to send it to the GY.
Gem-Knight Citrine is a wannabe Ancient Gear.
Gem-Knight Pearl is just a non-effect Xyz with 2600 attack.
Gem-Knight Prismaura has a targeted destruction effect.
Gishki Emilia negates all traps on the field during the turn she is summoned. … only if you control another Gishki monster.
Gishki Mollusk just lets you reorder your deck. I don’t need that.
Infestation Tool gives an 800 attack boost for the turn, and also acts as a Foolish Burial for Steelswarms.
Laval Cannon specials a banished Laval monster when it is summoned, so that is nice.
Laval Stennon protects itself from targeting effects.
Lavalval Dragun searches Laval monsters.
Steelswarm Sting destroys a Ritual, Fusion or Synchro Monster on the field when it is sent to the GY.
Steelswarm Longhorn can target and destroy stuff.
Steelswarm Hercules destroys all other cards on the field, so that is pretty nice. Though Judgment Dragon is just a better version of it.
Vylon Sphere is a cute little baby level 1 Vylon Tuner. And its effect is decent as well, recovering a Vylon equip.
Vylon Prism is a level 4 Vylon Tuner. And while equipped to a monster, that monster gains, if it attacks or is attacked: 1000 attack during the Damage Step only.
Vylon Polytope specials Vylon monsters that are currently treated as equip spells.
Vylon Disigma can joink your opponent’s monster and then destroy, without battle, any monster that has the same attribute as the monsters it has joinked.
Then the two I kind of did this all for.
Vylon Alpha. It is just Spell and Trap destruction immune when it has an equip spell.
But Vylon Omega though. It negates monster effects. Yeah. That is really good. Sure it is no omni-negate, but you can’t have it all with a card this old. It is still amazing.

But I think that will be all for today. I need to check which of these cards I’ll make available for the Riding Duel Tournament.
… Here at the end, just a quick pondering. Should I make some duel terminals? A terminal that gives a Yugioh ‘puzzle’, and if you solve it, you get a card. Or something like that. I could give every adventurers’ guild one, and each would give a different card.
I think it would be something cool to make. Sadly the travel between the guilds isn’t quite there yet so collecting all those cards would be nearly impossible. But maybe someday.
